Super bright

I bought this to add extra light to my video recording and boy was I in for a surprise. As soon as I turned the light on it illuminated the room and suddenly I could see every spec of dust and every wrinkle in the models face aging her 20 years. This scared me so I used the user friendly interface to turn the light down, to where everything was back to normal 10/10 would recommend

Inexpensive and works well

I bought this light for taking pictures of food at home where my dining room lighting is dim. I wanted an inexpensive light that would work better than the phone flash. The adjustable brightness and white balance features is fantastic. My pictures look a lot more professional with this.

Quality unit with fantastic battery life

Very impressed with this unit. It seems reasonably well built and offers a great amount of light and good battery life. I actually ended up using it as a storm light during a recent blackout because I couldn't find our emergency lanterns. It ran at 50% power for around 3 hours and only used one bar of power, but was bright enough for my wife and I to easily wrap Christmas presents and do other things in our living room. I think my only wish is that it would go lower than 20% brightness but I can always move it back or scrim it for less light. Controls are easy to use and feel like quality components. At full power at 15 feet it threw a nice, huge, even light against the door in our pitch black garage. I think this is going to be a very handy tool in my kit for very little money.

Great light but missing magnets - Updated

I purchased this light primarily for overnight paranormal investigations utilizing extensively the red lens. The package arrived timely, undamaged, all parts included except the red lens is missing two out of four magnets that are required for secure attaching. The light itself is excellent and easy to use but I had to tape the red lens on in order to use it this past weekend when we did the old Phelps Dodge Hospital in Ajo AZ. One battery at low setting which was perfect for us lasted the entire ten hour investigation. I was amazed. Would absolutely purchase another for the team to use. It would be nice to have two replacement magnets sent my way or another red lens. Have contacted the seller as directed but going ahead with this review posting because of how impressed I was with the light. June 13: Seller is amazing. As soon as they were notified of the red lens issue, they mailed a new replacement lens my way at no charge. For excellence of service on top of an excellent product, I change my rating from four to five stars.

!!Fantastic!!

Does the job. Love how it tells you how much battery is left. Not sure how long it last for but I used it for a little over a hour @ full blast and still had more than 75% battery. I also really enjoy that you can change the , i guess you would call it, temperature or softness of the light to fit the need. You can change the brightness as well. I really like how the light cover can be removed and installed real quick due to the 4 magnets. As of right now I have nothing negative to say about this light Edit: I do have one thing to say. It sucks that I bought this before it came with the colored diffusers

Great portable light source.

I am a portrait photographer that specializes in location shoots. This light is perfect. As you can imagine, perfect natural lighting is not always available. This light weight led panel is ideal. Could be a bit brighter on the 5600k side but overall this little light is dynamite. Attached portrait taken using this light.

Compact, brilliant, flexible lights well worth the money!

These lights are simply fantastic - small, bright, tunable, long-lasting, and lightweight. I purchased two for night photography and they have a permanent spot in my camera bag. These versatile lights do well with night landscapes and model shoots. My example shot below is of a small cemetery chapel in dense fog. The only light in the shot is two of the Viltrox lights on my Jeep behind the chapel

Seems like a Great light, it’s my first one but incredibly bright

Disclaimer, this is the first light I have bought, It seems extremely bright and is lighting up the wall from 25 feet away. I’m not sure what the reviews that stated it was not bright are actually looking for but this is gonna be more than what I ever use, the battery charged fully in about 2 1/2 three hours out of the box, the different color lenses and the ability to go from a real wh i’m not sure what the reviews that stated it was not bright or actually looking for but this is gonna be more than what I ever use, the battery charged fully in about 2 1/2 three hours out of the box, the different color lenses and the ability to go from a real white to a yellowish look give me enough adjustment for an amateur Maybe even a pro, I have not tested the battery life yet but I gave it a five stars because everything else seems to be spot on. I didn’t even read the manual just started pressing buttons and twisted knobs and figured out how to use it within 30 seconds. I would definitely recommend

I own three

I shoot video and have used these guys for main lights and rim lighting as well. They work great for someone shooting interview videos and must travel light. Don't forget to use modifiers, as you don't want to make your clients look like deer in the headlights. Bouncing off of white objects (white board, etc.) works well, but you lose power that way. They connect together as well, which makes it easier to get more power. The Sony NPF battery that comes with it is small and will last around 1 hour at full power. A bigger battery like the 750 lasts very long.

Great for DSLR starter light

High quality video light with well written instructions. The frosted screen is held on by 4 magnets and stays on well, yet is easily removed. LCD display is easy to read and has color temperature and battery life displayed. The battery snaps into place solid and has a lock/release tab. The only improvement I could see is to move the hot shoe mount from the right side to the left side. The input for the microphone is on the left side of my Canon. I will look for another way to mount the Rode microphone.
