I bought a gravity-flow feeder. The hummers loved it and it was working great. However, my local bee populace also loved/love it - and the two are just not willing to share. So, I bought this one for my hummers and it's working out great! The hummers use it, the bees do not (they stick with the other one 99% of the time). It is easy to clean, easy to hang, easy to fill. Best of all, everyone is happy and has their own "dining spot" now!

The hummingbirds love it. I had a four port one which was well used but this one is more popular. I was told by our local wild bird store that this type of feeder was best because juveniles could feed on it.

I like this feeder. I will get my issue out of the way first. Style meets bullies: This does allow you to see birds that you might miss with a traditional upright feeder, Great!! Anna's are bullies, uh oh. In my yard the ability for me to see birds I didn't see on a standard feeder also means bully hummingbirds can see them. With the upright feeders there is more cover to sneak in undetected. So that is an issue. Proper placement (and more feeders!!!) can mitigate this. If you have sharing birds this may increase your enjoyment. Cleaning: This is the easiest feeder to clean! Looks: Meh, I prefer the traditional gravity feeders looks wise, maybe a familiarity thing? but these are still uglier to me personally. That is your call, look at the pics. Function: The liquid is lower on average so you avoid things without beaks getting into the nectar unlike gravity fed. These are also great because you can top them off without pouring out half the liquid like upright feeders. I would highly recommend these, just think about bullies.

FINALLY, I have found a hummingbird feeder that does not leak. The design of this feeder is great for easy filling, hanging and NO LEAKS, whatsoever. I highly recommend this product.

I dabbed some petroleum jelly around each hole to deter bees, and hung it outside the window near the kitchen table. The neighborhood hummingbirds (Anna's) showed up by the next day. The feeder is easy to clean and refill, and it has a convenient perch ring on which the birds can sit while they sip. The hummers seem to like it much better than the bottle-shaped feeders that I've used in the past.

This is the second one I've purchased. The hummingbirds love to perch on this and drink deeply. I have tried other types of hummingbird feeders but this is the only one they seem to like. I especially like the well ... it definitely helps to keep the ants out! Although there are many ports and more than one hummingbird can feed at a time, sometimes the hummingbirds can become territorial. So I now have one feeder in the back yard and one in the front...Problem solved! :-) Note regarding hummingbird "juice." I recently read an article that explained the normal ratio of sugar to water was inadequate. This new ratio works out to be closer to what the hummingbirds get from flowers: 1/4 cp. sugar to 3/4 cp. water. And use only regular white sugar. You will definitely have happy "hummers" who return often to the feeder! Enjoy!

The hummers were getting chased away from the feeder by yellow jackets. As advertised, it took about a week for the y. jackets to realize they couldn't get any honey from the full feeder. They gave up and the hummers have returned! Yay! (PS We have year round Anna's here in western Oregon.)

The sugar water doesn't ooze out when the air gets hot like the 4-port feeders. The built in ant moat works just fine and it has the rest ring so they can perch. I can see when it needs to be filled without using the red dye. It holds 12 ounces and doesn't need to be filled everyday and I have a minimum of 8 feeders most days. For some reason this feeder doesn't seem to draw bees as quickly as other "pie plate" feeders and that may be the lack of yellow, I'm not sure.

This is a great feeder. I’ve always used the Hummzinger feeder but I like this one even better and the price is better. My hummingbirds took to it right away. It’s so easy to clean and fill.
