FOUND MISSING RING
Not sure what Minelab this equals but I lost my wedding ring (tungsten carbide) in a foot of loose straw, with 8" of snow onto of that, literally a needle in a haystack. Found the ring within 10 minutes of area where I thought it was lost. Turns out it registers as aluminum signature :)

Fantastic
This is my second metal detector, and it works great -- maybe even better than my Garrett 250. The pinpointer feature is very precise, and I'm able to zero in on metals quickly and easily. The detector collapses for storage and travel, which is very convenient. It isn't quite as comfortable as my Garrett 250, but the accuracy makes up for that one flaw.

Good deal for a great detector!
We’ve only had a chance to use the detector a couple of times so far, but works really well. A screwdriver and an earring were among the more interesting things we found, just in our garden! The detector is very easy to use. There are just a few buttons to toggle the sensitivity level, volume, and different kinds of metals to target. It can supposedly tell the difference between metals, but we’ve just dug up everything so far. The length can be easily adjusted for any kid or adult, and it folds down to a very compact size. It feels pretty sturdy even though its mostly plastic, but it is very light because of that. It requires AA batteries, and even after a few hours of use, the battery indicator is still showing as full. The instructions also mention that the coil is waterproof, so it’ll be great to take to the beach once it warms up a bit!

Very good metal detector!!!!
Namibian nickel plated steel coins e.g. 5,10 & 50 cent ring up as iron while brass coins e.g. $1, $5, $10 coins are in the range of rings and high value coins. It is advisable to search everything. The machine work well in our arid, dry hard soil. I love this metal detector.

Can Be Used By Left-Handed and Right-Handed People
The metal detector can be used by both left-handed and right-handed people. Though it is very lightweight, if you are older and frail and still concerned about its weight on your arm, hold your elbow and arm in close to your side when using the metal detector, and you will find it weighs only a couple of ounces more than a walking stick or cane. When folded, is is slightly shorter than a tennis racket, and it will fit in a medium-size backpack, but with a very small backpack, a couple of inches of it may stick out at the top of the backpack - no worries, just close the backpack zipper on it as completely as possible. Before you zip up your backpack, throw in the 'National Geographic Sand Scoop and Shovel Accessories for Metal Detecting and Treasure Hunting,' also available on www.Amazon.com, a bottle of water, and your cell phone, then put on your hat, and you are ready to go. If you like, take along a notebook to use as a diary for writing down the dates, locations, and what you find.

Great gadget!
Love that it compacts! I check groundwater wells around old gas stations. Sometimes the vaults get buried under dirt or fresh gravel. This finds them every time!

Great first detector!
Very Impressed with ease of use and how good it works. Takes just a little practice to get the hang of, just like anything else. Very compact and light weight. You can fold it up and toss it in a backpack with everything you need to go out hunting. Wish I would have purchased a few months earlier. Now I have to wait through the cold frozen winter before I can use it again!

Worth it
I've always wanted a metal detector and I found this one and I must say I an very impressed with it! Took me a couple days to get the buttons and everything but it's so lightweight and easy to use! We have a 10 acre ranch and I've found some old old horseshoes, a old coin from 1908 and a ring! I love how it can fold up and fit in your backpack!
