Very nice
This clamp looks nice and operates smoothly. The advertisement says the clamp uses Acme threads but the threads look like standard coarse threads to me. Clamp still works fine for my needs with the threads it has.

Old fashioned and super!
This vise was a lot bigger than we thought, however, that is a good thing as it was just what we needed. The hardest thing about using it is getting both screws to be level, but that really isn't all that difficult. In our retirement, my husband has taken to buying and repairing old wooden furniture, and wow this does the trick! We add some soft cloth or even foam rubber, depending on the job at hand. He fancies himself the Bob Vila/American Picker, and this has helped him fix things. Plus, there is the "cool" factor of having this in your toolbox!!

Easy to use and solidly built
The Yost vise is huge, but it is a size which works for me. We are using it to repair a chair which I have not beren able to fix for years because we could not find a vise the right size. This one is big enough to fit over the leg and back of the chair so we can glue it (and hope it is strong enough). It is a solid teak chair which would be tough to replace and so I have been looking for something which would enable me to fix it for years. The vse has hand screw with wooden handles hwich make it very easy to use. Our only issue will be storing it after the glue sets. It is quite large.

Perfect for Glue Up
I was gluing up a slab for a small table the other day so I had the chance to use this and it worked great. I plan to get a few more because my large clamps are just a bit much for some of the smaller pieces I've been working on. I like the wood on wood clamp because it's a bit softer on the wood I'm working on without having to disperse the pressure.

Very nice wooden clamp with a large 10" opening
Very nice wooden clamp with a large 10" opening. These wooden clamps are perfect for holding wooden pieces together while gluing. There is tremendous control of the pressure due to the dual hand screws and the wooden . The wooden grips offer a uniform pressure with a wooden surfce to minimize the risk of marring the surface of whatever you're holding. Very nice

Excellent Wood Screw/Clamp
Excellent screw/clamp. Perfect for woodworking. This will hold wood together and not dent or bruise your boards like metal ones do. The two adjustment screws allow for fine adjustment and weird angles. To adjust the clamp fast, hang on to both handles and twirl the clamp around and around. This clamp is well made and should last you a long time as long as you take good care of it.

Great Quality
My husband does a lot of DIY projects and is always in need of tools. He was pleasantly surprised when I got him this clamp. The thing he liked most was the size. Most clamps of this type are extremely large, making overkill of clamping smaller items. The clamping strength is superior compared to a standard twist clamp. He tells me it's built well and is durable.
