The ESDDI Flash Speedlite far out performed my expectations. I am by no means an expert photographer but the results I achieved using this flash clearly have improved my shots. This is my third flash at this price point and one might say you get what you pay for but FINALLY I've found one that performs just as well as the $200-300 Canon gear. It's made of sturdy material and comes with a case with storage for the remote and extra batteries. This vendor has 5 star customer services as well. I needed some assistance and reached out for help - I received a very quick response with links to videos and useful tips on set up and operation of the flash.

Bought this as a spare. At first I thought that at this price will be a cheap piece. It turn out to be a pretty good unit. It's all manual settings, great to do the special effects. It can be use as a hotshoe flash or wireless as a slave. A great add on to my equipment.

The seller is very helpful. The title of the product said it is for Nikon and Canon. I asked the seller and he promptly responded to me and confirmed the flash should be ok for my old Pentax K10d. The flash was well built. The plastic material felt a little cheap, but the product seemed sturdy. It came in with diffuser cap and a carrying bag, that is a plus. Unfortunately, it didn't provide batteries. 4 Enerloop rechargeable batteries and charger cost 17 bucks or so. It does not have some fancy mode but it is enough for regualr use. For the price, I don't have any complaint for the product. Highly recommend it.

The built in flash was enough when I first purchased my Canon but over time, it wasn't. I needed something with controls to improve the look and feel of my photography. This bad boy brings light into a dark space, provides depth in a sunny spot, and you get the point. Dimension is difficult to achieve without the right tools and this is one way to get you there!

If I keep it set at the lowest power setting (1/128), it makes beautiful flash pictures inside of my house. I imagine that the higher power settings are for longer distance shots. I wish that the power setting could be controlled by the camera to be what it needs for the situation. UPDATE JUNE 27: The seller explained to me that this model doesn't support TTL, which is what I need in order for the camera to set its shutter speed correctly based on the flash's added light. They offered to exchange for the other flash and I accepted.

I bought Speedlite because sometimes I need additional light at night. It's good , if you know how to take photos but I'm sure when you buy this type of item you know what is apperture, speed, ISO. Pros: - Cheap - If you know how to take photos, it's good. Cons: - It's not like Speedlite 470EX that costs 300$, because it does not have Auto Intelligent (AI) Bounce function.

My honest review (got this model from Seller to test the functionality): This flash is a bare minimum unit, where we cannot zoom or attach any external power source, etc. This unit works fine for small areas and with limited distance between the subject and camera. The guide number is low, but for that price it is good. It works fine. I'll post some pictures when I get chance. I tried in a big restaurant with high ceiling and orange color walls, outside on the street in the dark and they came out pretty good. I used D750 and tried on camera and also tried off camera as a slave for hair light. The color temperature was consistent, I still need to test under various conditions. This one was able to hold Magmod's bounce and sphere pretty good even at an inclined angle than other brand units I have. Overall I recommend this if you are a beginner or want to have some basic one as a kicker or for hair light. Even as a main this is a good unit for a small room and price is pretty affordable. Full power flash recharge cycle is bit slow. Material built is better than other similar affordable brand models. Cons: cannot attach any external power source.

I am a professional photographer and i use flash a lot. I have more than 3 of these at any time with me for my photoshoots. I have purchased the most expensive ones earlier and when they die, man that hurts. I was looking for cheaper and best options and this is the one that caught my eye. I took a chance as this is lot cheaper than the one that i had earlier. Believe me, this is the best product i purchased. It comes with accessaries that you need buy for the name brand ones. They cost a lot of money. I was so surprised when i saw this product. It works perfectly and honestly i cant make any difference between this and expensive name brand ones. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good flash speedlight. You will not be disappointed. It comes with a bag and diffuser too. Nicely packed. Have multiple options on the flash. Can be used as master or slave. I will provide an update after some usage. I am sure this is going to last for long.

Ok so first of all dont shoot it into your eyes at full blast. I was temporarily blinded and my retinas burned. Anyways, this thing uses 4 AA batteries and so far seems to last. It easily attaches to a hot shoe mount on my Lumix G7 but does have options to act as slave and a tripod mount. I have not played with this features since, honestly, I dont know how to. But at its brightest, I was able to OVEREXPOSE an image at a medium f stop (f8.0) and with decent shutter speed (1/100) in a pitch black closet in my house. See pictures for an example. Second picture was taken with on board flash. 9.5/10 - Genuinely suprised me, and I enjoy this product. It wouldve been cooler to be able to change the color of the flash but I dont think thats a thing. Great item and I love it. I dont know my stuff about camera flashes but I enjoyed this.

As a beginning photographer, I needed something that was easy to learn and use while allowing me to learn the basics. I love this flash for that purpose. It has a simple interface and will allow you to adjust settings quickly and easily. You can adjust the flash from full power down to 1/128, and increments in between each exposure level just as you would expect from other flash units. I was concerned the standby mode would be too short and require me to wake the unit after tweaking camera settings, like some other brand units, but I did not have a problem. Also, there is no beep during inputs which makes for a quiet, non-distracting unit. I also purchased ESDDI's PLF-650 flash unit, which has more features but required more time for me to learn. I really like using them together.
