Adds Some Stability
Like the Blink XT's very much, but the mount just doesn't get the job done. In a neighborhood where you need security cameras, you need the cameras to stay attached to the wall. If the cameras are too high to reach, then they're shooting top-of-the-head video which is of no evidentiary use at all if something untoward happens. ("Yeah, seems to be a bipedal hominid of some description. . .") Optimum height for camera placement is about seven feet, and these holders, although not foolproof, are difficult enough to remove to make them worthwhile. Add a power supply to stabilize the camera further, and you're in business. It's worth it to make these adjustments, the system is a good one.

The best wall mount for Blink XT.
Blink cameras are great EXCEPT the included mounts (you already know when you are reading this review ;). This Wall-mount bracket is the MUST HAVE for almost every single Blink XT camera owners. You can hang your camera any angles you wish and can be able to adjust whenever you need. The material super light but tough. I bought a set of 3 mounts and it comes with 3 set of anchors, screws and *3* screwdrivers. This company packed extra everything just like IKEA packed extra parts for customers. To me, this is a WOW because of not too much companies willing to pack extra stuff due to the cost of the product. I don't know if water can get inside the case or not, but if it does I think it is not a big deal since Blink XT is waterproof. However, if you connect the camera to the power supply (wall outlet or solar) as I do, so I suggest that you should seal the USB port by using caulk or electrical tape to prevent vapor get inside. (I know I am overprepared). Overall, this wall-mount bracket is the must-have accessory for Blink XT since your cameras have 1 extra protecting layer, the mount help camera not moving during strong wind and more importantly, it protects the camera when connecting to an external power source.

Outstanding for the Price
I wanted a better mount for my outdoor Blink XT cameras and purchased the 3 pack. I think these will work for most outside placements. The entire assembly, except for the camera mount nut ans screw are made of plastic. I was a little concerned but it seems like it will hold up well. That does mean you have to be a little gentler when adjusting the mount. The plastic turned out to be great for spray painting. I painted two of the mounts grey to blend in with my deck color. I recommend you assemble an entire camera and mount and get adjusted the way you want, mark your holes and hole matches on mount. This is because once you tighten everything, it is very difficult to adjust camera after that. That being said, there might be mounts that are easier to adjust, but for the price, these are incredible. The back secures with 5 small screws, and they provide the small screwdriver you need. Make sure you save it for a year or two down the road when you need to change Lithium batteries. Overall a great companion purchase to the Blink XT and I highly recommend if you looking for a better mount at an economical price.

Now I'm secure!
I really like the Blink XT system I purchased but was very disappointed in the cheap and flimsy mount that came with it. That might be fine for indoors but for an outside security camera it was the weakest link in the system. I could see someone coming in fast from out of range, jumping up and just pulling the camera off of the mount and tossing it aside. Not even enough time to record an image. But with this mount that is not going to happen. It is very secure and much easier to adjust the direction of the camera. The casing is quite nice and has a sun shield on the top to help shade the lens. I don't need it on my porches but it is a great feature. The casing fits over the camera and there is a port on the bottom to run a cable if you are hard wiring your cameras. I use a battery. While it will be harder to change the battery with this new mount the battery is supposed to last for two years so that is hardly a minus. The case screws on with five small screws. Seven are included so extra points for including extra screws. They are tiny and a small screwdriver is included. It was a bit tricky to get them screwed down as they are so small and my eyes aren't as young as they used to be. But not what I would call difficult. The casing attaches to the stem of the mount much more securely than the original mount that came with the camera. That was basically a plastic ring the camera snapped into. With the new casing, you screw the stem onto the casing, then lock it down by twisting a ring. It would take someone time to undo this and take the camera off the mounting. There is an adjustable collar at the base of the stem that allows you to tighten and loosen it for adjusting the direction of the camera. Three sturdy screws mount it to the surface. Four screws are included. Again, extra points for extra screws. I appreciate having an extra screw or two including in anything I buy as it is easy to drop and lose one and screws are so cheap including an extra one should be no problem for anything of quality. There are also screw sleeves for dry wall mounting if this in an indoor application. All in all I can't praise this system enough. Blink should contact the designer and contract to include this mounting system with all of their XT outdoor cameras. It is far superior to the small little mounts they use for their indoor systems. Those are simply not adequate for outdoor security. This mount is.

Well constructed.
There is only 1 Blink XT camera wall mount braket on the market that allows you to work with USB Power. Prior finding this bracket, i was ready to use silicon and poke a hole thru the rubber seal behind the unit. With this unit, i do not need to do that as it has a usb cable 'area' allow you to work with it. The bracket container itself appears to be well made and fits nicely. it fits perfectly, and do not require 'push' in. The bracket itself seems to made out of hard plastic but i do have some worry that the plastic may not hold thru the hot weather. the unit comes with 4 screws and 4 wall anchor but you only need to use 3. the camera container itself is tighter with 5 small screws which is provided along with a screw driver just for these small screws. i bought a 3 pack and used it on my outdoor blink XT camera. The operation of the wall mount is same as all other wall mount cameras that allows you twist it to any angle that you wish. i have compared the signal of the camera inside the bracket, and also another camera that I did not use the bracket with - but have similar signal to the blink module and wifi. I had the worry that the bracket will cause the signal drop but it didn't look like it. I am happy with this purchase as it seems to be well constructed. I cannot yet comment on how well it will stand during hot summer if it will over heat the camera. i will update after this summer. thanks for reading.

A must buy for any Blink XT owner!
Anyone who owns a Blink camera knows the biggest complaint is the mounting clip that come with them. The limited articulation makes positioning and stability a real headache. These outdoor weather mounts and cases remove many of the issues I have had with mounting the Blink XT cameras outside. The camera is housed in a 5 screw secured case that itself screws into the camera wall mount with a ball hinge. This mount has a base that, when tightened, will secure the ball hinge in the position that you placed it. I found this mount much easier to get into the right position with little difficulty. These mounts are also more secure that those that come with the Blink XT camera. With the old mounts, the camera just snapped into the mount making it very easy to steal. These, while obviously not theft proof (and they don't claim to be), are more involved in their mounting. This allowed me to put the cameras in places that are more easy to reach, because once I used these mounts I was unconcerned that someone would be able to walk off with them so easily. Some things to note: It will make battery changes a little more cumbersome having to unscrew the case to get to the camera, but I see this as a benefit to the additional weather proofing and security the case provides. Additionally, the inclusion of a downward facing hole for a power cable means I will be able to eventually connect the camera to power, eliminating the need for frequent battery changes. The camera itself remains unobstructed. The case fits well, in that it is not exposed to the camera. Additionally, the hood over the lens is also out of sight and provides a good amount of coverage to protect the lens from rain. The mounts do not appear to affect the signal that the camera needs to function. It's similar to the same signal strength as I had before. Build quality is good, and each individual mount (in this 3 pack) comes with all the necessary equipment, plus extras in the case of the screws (ie. only 5 are needed for the case screws, but they give you 7). The only required tool I needed was a screwdriver for the wall part of the mount (this set does include a screwdriver for the case screws.) Overall, I am highly satisfied and will be getting more of them when I expand my camera system.

Wonderful mount -- 1,000% better than original Blink XT mount!!!!! Well worth the price!!!
So I'm a new Blink XT owner, only had my system about a week or two. And in that short time, like many of you, I concluded that the tiny plastic mount that comes with the Blink XT camera sucks!! It's really not suitable as an outdoor mount; the camera could very easily be stolen, or even fall off the mount. Enter THIS mounting system. This mount is wonderful!!! I say that because: a) it's mounted securely - no way the camera might fall off accidentally; b) it has a huge range of motion for the camera - you can aim it in ANY direction you wish, thanks to the ball pivot; c) it adds extra protection from the elements to the camera itself; and d) it is very easy to install. I am so, so happy I got this mounting system!!! I will say that the mounting screws that come with it to mount the base are unnecessarily long - over 1 inch, so I went to my local hardware store and replaced them with shorter, stainless steel wood screws. (Actually, the single screw that comes with the original Blink XT mount is just about the right size - so take that screw to the h/w store, and tell the guy you need x number more stainless steel wood screws in that same size) This mount will never come off accidentally - unlike the original Blink XT mount. Only thing with installing this one is, once you have the base mounted to the surface, and install the camera, tightening the base's lock ring can be somewhat hard to do... So judicious use of pliers can be very helpful with that to tighten-down that lock ring. Just don't overdo it with the pliers or you could possibly damage it. Yes, the camera "could" still be stolen from this mount, but it would take hands-on access to the mount, and at least 10-30 seconds of time or more. The range of motion of the camera on this mount is all that you could want or ask for. You can literally put the camera in just about any position desired. There is a little lock ring behind the camera cover that tightens down next to the cover, and then the other lock ring next to the base keeps the entire assembly in place and free from unwanted movement. Since the camera is mounted inside a separate case with this mounting system, it has that much more protection against the elements - rain, snow, etc. And the little "visor" on top is nice, not only for a sun blocker but also to help keep the rain off of the camera lens. In checking after install, I saw no reduction in signal strength to my cameras with this system. It's also important that the camera lens is not covered behind plastic or plexiglass, as the motion sensing system may not work if it is -- and thankfully, this mounting system was designed the correct way, with an open front area for the camera lens. The only thing I needed to install this mount system was a couple screwdrivers, and the pliers to help tighten the base's lock ring. And the screwdriver for installing the camera inside the case is actually included! So all you really need is a phillips head screwdriver to mount the base. You may need a drill as well, or if you have a strong grip for using the screwdriver you might not need the drill at all. This system is very well worth the price!!!! Works out to about $10 per mount for the 3-camera mount, which is very very reasonable. (and cheaper if you buy more than 3 mounts!) I liked it so much once installed that I immediately ordered another mount for my 4th camera. Love this system!! Don't even think about it - just buy it!! You'll be glad you did! That little dinky plastic "mount" included with the Blink XT camera just cannot compare to this mounting system. 5-stars for this system, for sure!!!

Great accessory for the Blink XT giving a more secure mount

Perfect way to protect your investment!
We just ordered 2 Blink XT Home security cameras and added these wall mount brackets for a couple of reasons. First I wanted some kind of casing to protect the camera and second I wanted to have a good range of motion whenever installing so that I can make sure the camera would be pointing where I want it to. I’m going to list below the pros and cons. - Great range of motion. - Awning to protect from direct sun & glare. - Easy to install. - Stays snug. - Good protection from weather. - Clean, sleek look. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> - Plastic isn’t as thick as I’d like. - Black color attracts heat & attention. - Only 1 color available (would like to see camo & white). Overall these are good little mounts that protect your camera and offer a wider range of motion. They are affordable and do their job as advertised. I will definitely be ordering more when I get more cameras!

Great way to securely mount a Blink camera!
Most people would agree that the Blink XT Security Camera is a great product. I have four of them mounted on the outside of my home and they all work great! However, most people would also agree that the OEM mount supplied with the Blink XT camera appears quite fragile and it fails to convey a confidence that it could protect the camera against the outside elements of wind, animals and birds. The "Blink XT Wall Mount Bracket" seems to be the answer to securing mounting and protecting your Blink XT camera. It was easy to install my Blink XT camera into the "Blink XT Wall Mount Bracket" and to adjust the camera's field of view with the adjustable mounting post. It is a well designed product. I cannot vouch to the durability since I have only owned the product for a short time. However, for the low initial cost of the "Blink XT Wall Mount Bracket", I would not hesitate to recommend purchase! Update: I just purchased three more of these mounts and now have a total of seven. I have been reading in the "one star reviews" about a corrosion issue concerning the metal mount post and small screws. I am intrigued about this issue. The metal components of the units I have purchased seem to be well plated with a zinc coating. However, only time will tell if these metal surfaces develop a corrosion issue. I shall monitor my units on a periodic basis and report my findings.
