Great baby gate!

This gate is just what we were looking for! We live in a rental and didn't want to damage the door frames by screwing in a gate. Found this one and decided to give it a try. I was worried with a 10 month old and 4 year old pulling and tugging on it it would fall, but it has stood up against them!! Hasnt budged at all! My husband installed the gate and it was very easy to do. Plus it comes with a little pet door that fits our 15 pound dog perfectly! Definitely happy with our purchase!!

Exactly what I was looking for.

I needed a gate with a pet door. A pet door that wasn't so large that a two year could crawl through but not so small that a large cat couldn't get through. This gate delivered. Added bonus - the pet door can be removed with a screwdriver if you have no need to close it. The opening is just a touch over 7.5" x 10" with the little door removed. Cats can move through freely, toddler stays put. Installation was simple. If you've ever owned a Munchkin gate, you're familiar with how the screws need to be tightened in order for the lock to come together. The tool is different but the concept is the same. Installation took all of 5 minutes.

Easy to work with, highly recommend

Installation was quite easy, only took me ten minutes (used on the bedroom door, didn’t use extensions). *** Like the instructions says: Don’t cut the strap the second you open the package!!*** Lol I love how it uses pressure to lock onto the surface and doesn’t need any electrical tools. Material feels sturdy but not heavy. The gate opens both inwards and outwards, and it closes automatically if you don’t hold it open or open it all the way to 90 degrees. When you open the gate, you need to press both up and down sides of the handle, and pull the handle upwards, which makes it a lot safer since toddlers might grab the handle but won’t have enough strength to lift it up and get out. The gate also has a small “window” that you can open and close at the bottom, which would allow small pets like cats to go through. Overall very happy with this purchase, and will definity buy more if needed :D

A great solution for dogs

I have used this for a couple weeks and am very pleased. My cat can clear it with a large jump, my dog doesn't bother to try. It has allowed me to keep cat food and a litterbox out of the path of the dog, with a gate that is easy to open and close, and large enough to get through with a handful of items. We tried a spring-loaded baby gate before this--a complete waste of time. This gate installs quickly and securely to a door jam and still allows a door to close, with access to the knob. You won't regret it.

Great for any space.

I read several reviews for hours before deciding what gate to purchase, as being newly pregnant with dogs, it was important to have one durable. I was hesitant on purchasing this one bc I read a review that it was difficult to install. That isnt true at all! I think its bc the instructions do state that you cant cut the cable cord until after install ( see picture as this is important!). It comes with 2 extensions so you can use it in small or wide openings. I use this to separate the laundry to the kitchen so the dogs cant get to the cat for or the litter box thus it gets a lot of use! It comes with wall protectors which is really nice bc I have had other gates that didnt and the pegs would move causing the wall paint to chip. I am glad I didnt go the cheap route like my husband insisted on the old style arm gates! That would have been too cumbersome and a pain to step over each time or take it down!

A Huge Improvement Over Regalo Gates

We have two Regalo brand step through baby gates but needed a gate with a pet door. Despite some of the negative reviews I decided to buy it. I'm really glad I did because this gate is a huge improvement. Pros: The opening is much wider than our other gates which makes carrying a laundry basket through it much easier. The gate stays open if pushed all the way open. The gate swings closed and latches with a gentle touch. The gate can be opened with one hand but its not simple enough that a child could figure it out. Cons: Slightly harder to install than Regalo gates. They include a little tool to turn the adjustment knobs rather than using your hand. The buttons used to open the gate were stuck when I bought the gate just as some negative reviewers pointed out. I used a flat head screw driver and freed them. Since then we have been using the game multiple times daily with no issues. I cannot comment about the pet door other than it opens, locks closed and is very basic. We zip tied it closed for now because our daughter can still fit through it.

Really a great gate!

This gate actually impressed me. I have two similar gates, but this one is stronger/thicker and way easier to set up. I did need to use one extension to fit this in my hallway. - I actually love the rubbery “feet” that touch the wall, because it seems that they won’t damage the wall (the other gates I have are just a felt pad). - The handle isn’t too difficult, I like that I can open it with one hand (my ther gate requires both hands). - Also, the little doggy door is a nice feature! It only took a minute for my 25# beagle to figure out how to get through. I would definitely recommend this gate!

Buy it !

Works perfect to keep our dogs out of the basement level, but the cats can still get through! Throw out those accordian gates. This is so handy! It is also very sturdy and should last for many, many years. Just know you need to really tighten the top by the wall extenders to get the top bar to line up. Sounds worse than it is. I did this myself and made the per door even smaller with a piece of plastic so our Pomchi could not go through. Very versatile!
