I love my new curtains!

I purchased these room darkening curtains because the light pours into the room and hits right on the bed (and on your face) early in the morning. I decided on the grey color over white because I wanted the best room darkening possible. The grey looks nice with the eggplant colored walls. I used a hot, steamy iron to get the fold marks out. I am very pleased with my purchase, they really work. Make sure you get the wrap around curtain rod if you want to prevent light from getting in on the sides of the window. Some pretty tie backs would jazz it up!

Needed blackout curtains for my living room window which faces west and plays hell on any daytime TV watching, especially in the late afternoon. These curtains are amazing and block out any sunlight shining on the TV. Period! I bought the wrap around curtain rod and there is a bit of light at the top, which doesn’t affect the TV, but wasn’t necessarily looking for 100% room darkening; only to block the sun from shining on the TV. I’m doing a happy dance it works so well! Photos are 3:30pm on 12/21/18 when the sun is the strongest coming through the windows. Any reflection on TV is coming from other windows and will probably buy the same curtains for that room, too. 1. Blind closed, 1/2 curtains drawn—Reflection on TV 2. Curtains closed, blind open. I ordered 6 pair in the dark gray. They look great, feel great, and really block almost 100% of light in my bedroom - and I have quite a few Windows. Hung them straight out of the package. I have recommended them to a few of my friends already. I paid full price and chose these after much research. I definitely recommend these.

Soft and luxurious looking

These curtains turned out amazing! They are super soft and luxurious looking. I do with they were slightly thicker in order to block more light, they are not true "black out" curtains but they certainly black 90% of the light coming in. I also love that you can hang them via the individual tabs or the full rod pocket. I do not plan on washing them unless the bottoms get dirty from sweeping against the floor, I'd consider having them dry cleaned to be careful of a washing machine tearing them apart. The quality seems good but you just never know with curtains if they will survive a washing machine. Overall these were a great purchase, I'm very happy and would recommend them especially for the money. Also all the seams seemed to be well stitched in my opinion.

Wonderful Quality

I agree with the reviews that the bottom of these curtains are not perfectly level-but pretty close. I have furniture in front of the bottoms so it is not big deal. We had blinds up but got these for a room that we turned into our living room. It was previously too bright to have the television in there so I got these, moved the rooms around and it is perfect for our living room/movie watching experience. The quality is wonderful--better than expected--and stands up to our three dogs pawing at the curtains on the sliding glass door to go outside. We can tell a difference in maintaining temperature control as well. While I can see the picky people saying they aren't completely blackout panels, they really do block out 99.9% of light. After we saw how well these held up and how nice they were we bought some for our bedroom as well and now our dogs sleep until we wake up on the weekends and they are not up at first light...bonus!

Great curtains, great price.

I love these! they are very well made. And hang well (I bought them to take appart and make roman blinds out of because fabric would have been way more expensive.) I like how the black out material is woven into the fabric insteas of being ironed on the back. They will need to be iorned before being hung. On The close up picture of the window I pulled the sheer blind behind the curtain up so that you could see that a small bit of light does come through but it is very minimal.

Exceeds expectations

I was reluctant at first to purchase these as I wanted cotton curtains. However, these have not produced any smell whatsoever which makes me a little more confident in my purchase even with them being polyester. The first photo shows how effective it is at blocking light. This was a requirement by my husband. The second photo shows how lovely the drapes hang, almost like pinch please curtains. I do have to pull them that way to align properly, but it's not a lot of work. The third photo shows how nice the stitching is and that the backing is the same color as the front. The final photo is of the back tabs of the curtains for reference in how they hang on the rods. In regards to the company: I had to contact them with an issue on one of the pairs of curtains I purchased. I sent a message at night and heard back the next morning. They immediately rectified the issue without any run around--which says a lot for companies in this day of age!

Prrfect

I have not hung the curtains yet. My home was damaged in Hurricane Michael on 10/10/18 and we are in the process of repairing the damages to the master bedroom which is where these will hang once the room is move in ready. I will post a edit to this review once we are complete with repairs. *******EDIT******* The room is back together minus the bed and I’ve added pictures of my curtains hung, 1 double window and 1 single window. These curtains are amazing. Of course I purchased navy blue and they are a true Navy blue. They are also totally light blocking. The only reason the pictures are bright is because of the flash. The darker the curtain the more room darkening they will be. My only complaint is that when I took them out of the package, they looked like they had been stepped all over but that brushed right off. They were evenly hemmed, I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars.

Nice fabric, works very good as black out curtain

I ordered these in black as that was the only color out of all of those choices that would work. I would have preferred a deep shade of green, like loden. I guess loden must not be "fashionable" right now, but lime green is. Oh well. The fabric feels nice and silky. I did feel the need to iron them as the wrinkles did not come out from hanging. I ironed them on very low and they came out fine. While I was moving them around to get them up, one caught on the edge of a box and got a snag. It appears they are more fragile than they would appear, so I would handle them with some care. They have been awesome at blocking out the light. It will be interesting to see what their "thermal insulating" qualities are when winter comes, as I live in a very cold climate. If they work well, I may buy more as I have several other panels in need of replacement. The fabric has nice "weight" in the way it hangs. I bought Dezene magnetic curtain tiebacks from Amazon and they work great with these. I was overwhelmed with the choices of curtain panels, am pleased with these.

100% Highly Recommended!!

I've purchased Eclipse based products for many years and never was 100% satisfied. I wish I'd found these sooner. When they say "BLACK OUT" they mean black out. Absolutely no light penetrates these curtains. I've woken up at times where I thought it was still 2am and it was actually more like 7am and I had no idea that the sun was shining directly into my windows. It's absolutely fantastic and I will make it a point to stock up on these over time in the different colors just so I can keep up with the overall decor changes in my home.
