Fixed Death Wobble
I have a '98 XJ. Last August, my jeep started to wobble driving down the road at highway speeds. It would be fine and then suddenly the steering wheel would shake like a leaf; the only fix was slowing down. I looked for several months for the problem. I replaced the front brakes, the driver's side wheel bearing assembly, rotated the wheels. I kept reading that steering stabilizer would only mask the problem and was not the root cause. But I and several mechanics (who told me they could figure out the problem in a short minute) got down under the front end and pulled and tugged on every steering and suspension component. And while none of the components looked new, everything was tight. So I finally broke down and bought the stabilizer, terrified that the problem would be back in a month. But I replaced it in December and it has been solid on the road ever since. It still feels like a 21 year old jeep, but there is no scary wobble, and the steering has firmed up significantly as well.

Great product, made my Jeep feel new.
Makes a huge difference in steering, especially on older vehicles. My vehicle is a 2000 WJ I6 with a 2.5 inch budget boost and 245/75r16 tires. It has 173K miles on it so it has been through the ringer. This steering damper was without a doubt the most difference I have noticed in the Jeep of any mod I have added so far. The old stabilizer is crappy and about half the size or less of this heavy metal piece. It was easy to install, but you need to remember that the lower nut on the driver's side is actually welded on. I tried for 30 minutes to get it off with an impact and aero kroil with no luck and eventually realized the top nut actually holds it on. It came off easily. You will likely need to hammer the new one in. The bushings wouldn't clear mine perfectly because the bracket on the driver's side had a bend from hitting a rock. Still didn't take much more than 3-4 hits with a hammer and some kroil on the bushings to get it slid in.

Huge Upgrade From Stock
Recently just lifted my TJ with a 6" long arm lift and was still riding with the stock stabilizer which had noticed I had a little bump steer so I tried this stabilizer. Upon opening the box I already realized how much bigger it was from the factory shock. As you see from the picture the body of the shock is almost double in size. The piston also is massive and well constructed. I also did a resistance test between the two and seemed that the N3 had about 3lbs - 5lbs of more than the stock shock. Have not driven with the new install yet but I almost guarantee that there will be a difference in performance.

Less wheel shake and looks good at the same time
I have no clue how old the original stabilizer was on my 2000 Wrangler and I was in the mood for a simple swap. This product is far beefier than the one that came off and it comes with all the required hardware as stated in the description. Taking off my original was easier than expected and didn’t involve all the pounding or pitman clamp like others have mentioned on YouTube. The end result is smoother steering and less steering wheel shake as I am driving. This isn’t the cure for death wobble, but an easy upgrade if you are interested. I couldn’t justify paying more than I did and don’t recommend buying any fancier.....save your money for a more meaningful upgrade somewhere else.

Excellent steering upgrade!
This N3 Steering Stablizer went on super easy. The box came equipped with hardware for both sides of mount. I used original hardware for frame mount side. The performance is great! When hitting bumps in road, Stabalizer helps keep you in control of left right movement. This is a smart, safe and easy upgrade. (Mine came with a sticker)

Fixed Death Wobble
Very beefy stabilizer, way better than OEM's. Fixed Death Wobble on my 2003 WJ. Wait a minute, everybody says Stabilizer doesn't cause Death Wobble, at least my research says so....This is my case, I had death wobble a couple of times at 45-50mph. So I checked all my front end components, they're all good except for a few bushings. So I started to replace the track bar bushings, ball joints, etc. Every time I replaced something, it seems to be a little better, but the DW still happens. The only reason I missed the steering Stabilizer is my research says it's not likely the cause. Well, I had a very extreme case that my old Stabilizer was very bad, especially where the mounting holes were elongated, that I didn't see before I removed it, my bad. After the replacement, DW is gone. Updates, 10,000 miles, still look and feels great.

Seems to be Rough Country, not fake. See pictures.
Just received my stabilizer for my TJ Wrangler about 20 hours from placing my order. Came in waterproof packaging and looked to be handled with care. Came in normal rough country box and included the instructions, sticker, two bags of hardware, and of course the stabilizer. This is how my lift was packaged, so I'm assuming this is not a "knock off" stabilizer. I will install tomorrow and then I will update review on fitment, install and test drive. If it performs and is like my rough country lift and N3 shocks, I will be happy. Comes with hardware for Jeep and Chevy. Update..... install went very easy.....took maybe 5 minutes. Didn't use any of the supplied hardware, Didn't need to. I did look at my rough country n3 shocks and they are stamped "made in Mexico " stabilizer is stamped "made in China " , I still think that this is legit Rough Country part. Test drive went fine, no issues. Nice stabilizer.

Pleasantly surprised 1999 Jeep Wrangler
Purchased this steering stabilizer to go along with a 3.25 inch lift kit. Before I installed it, every time I would hit a bump or pothole or even a bumpy road I would get vibration in the steering wheel. After I installed it, that all went away Before I installed it, every time I would hit a bump or pothole or even a bumpy road I would get vibration in the steering wheel. After I installed it, that all went away. I’m honestly blown away by the difference this $35 piece of hardware made… Took maybe 20 minutes to install

Great part wrong hardware
The steering stabilizer is great quality. where I ran into issues was with the install hardware. it says it should work fine for my 05 chevy 2500hd however one of the bolts supplied was not threaded enough so I had to reuse some old hardware. definitely not a major issue but can see how it could be if my hardware was completely junk or broken as lots are up here in New England. Also unfortunately the decal that came with it was torn during shipment due to it being left in the box somewhat carelessly.
