Wonderful device.
This thing is awesome. I'm able to have the desk setup that I've always wanted all working through just my laptop with just one cord to have to plug in. Seriously this thing works great. I've only had one problem where it won't recognize my monitors occasionally but a simple reboot fixes it and this thing cleans up my setup so much. I love it. Buy it.

Upgraded to this; very pleased.
I have a Microsoft SurfaceBook. Bought the Microsoft SurfaceDock. Every disconnect/reconnect caused me headaches. I upgraded to this. Not only was this simple to get setup, it offered better resolution and higher responsiveness than the overpriced SurfaceDock. This thing is simply amazing.

Docking Station compatible with my New Spectre X360 15T
I just recently purchased a HP Spectre X360 15T Product # 4VW40AV. Like everyone else that is moving from a Desktop to a Laptop I needed a docking station to handle all the peripherals. I have 2 external Hard Drives (Western Digital 4TB drive and an old Seagate 500GB drive), an external Dell DVD, B&W MM-1 speakers, an old ASUS monitor and a budget Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. I also attached the Verizon Router to docking station. The docking station took nothing to set up - plug it in and it is ready to go. It comes supplied with 2 cables to choose from to connect to the laptop which is noted in their description. This was perfect for my setup. Attaching the peripherals to the docking station is easy, and for the most part everything worked right away - the monitor, Hard Drives and DVD player were immediately recognized by the Spectre and were ready to go. The keyboard and mouse were recognized but only the mouse worked smoothly. The keyboard worked sometimes and then would not work. I tried different ports with same result. The keyboard is cheap and I am going to replace with Bluetooth soon. Right now I have it plugged into the USB 3 port in laptop. This works fine for me since the docking station has handled everything else. The MM-1 speakers were not recognized when they were connected to the docking station initially. I then plugged them straight into the laptop which set them up immediately. After that, I reconnected them to the docking station and they have worked fine ever since. I have also used flash drives with the docking station with no problem. I have not had the need to set up two monitors, but will soon be buying a new 4K monitor and will use the docking station for that. The quality of the docking station is excellent. It takes up very little space on my desk and I am very pleased with the purchase. Depending on where you want to locate it, you will probably have to buy some new cables for some of your peripherals. One of my Hard Drive cables was too short. Also, I needed to buy a new cable for the old monitor so it could go into the HDMI port of the docking station. The display of the Laptop is so beautiful that I have not used the old monitor since, but most people will have a monitor they want to keep and may need a different cable.

Great Unit
The unit works as advertised and is really easy to use. It touts being USB3 but my laptop is ancient, slow, and only has USB2. I use it to drive 2 25" HDMI screens, wireless keyboard and mouse plus 2 large external hard drives. All of the HDMI and all but one of the USB cables go to the docking station. The laptop has only the one USB2 cable plugged in. After the first power-up it takes a bit to configure Windows to manage the multiple displays correctly since then it's worked fine. There are times I've noticed some band-width issues most likely due to the single USB2 cable to the laptop. I don't play games so there may be speed issues with them as well but not because of this docking station - you can only ask so much out of one USB2 connection. Finally it does slow down power up - Windows simply takes more time to get the screens, mouse, keyboard etc sorted out after that it works VERY WELL.

Cleaned up my desk and works great
I work at home as a digital marketing assistant and having a clean, organized, efficient desk is important to me. I got this docking station to help eliminate all the cords everywhere (now they're all behind my desk instead of on it), and to allow me to have two large screens. Setup was quick and easy and it works great. I wish the dock charged my laptop as well so I didn't have to keep the power cable plugged in to the laptop, but that's a pretty small quibble and I knew it didn't when I bought it. Otherwise, no complaints so far. Now my desk is clean and organized, and I have two big screens to work on. The monitor images are clear and sharp. Love it!

Great product!
Wanted this product to cut back on wiring and easily accommodate my second monitor. I can say this, it did not fail to impress. This is an amazing product, when pared with a usb 3.0 sharing switch I can now easily swap between multiple computers and use both monitors! All the USB ports work amazing, and it really helped clean up my wiring. Highly recommend purchasing!

make sure you have the proper cables or adapters for your monitors.
Due to the limitations of my work computer's docking station, I happened to have a DVI cable for my second monitor. as fortunes have it, I happened to have a DVI to DP++ adapter, and everything worked out well for that connection! This product comes with two connection cables one has USB C to USB C the other has USB C to USB 3. That makes this station pretty versatile. The only thing I would mention, and this is not a bad thing, is that my laptop must be open when connected. In my case it is not a terrible thing since I have a 17" monitor, I now have 3 displays when connected to the dock! LOL Finally, one other minor detail. If you have not worked with docking stations before, once it installs, re-start your computer before playing with your display settings. Then, once you extend the displays, make certain to hit apply when you are moving which display is what so you can put them in the proper sequence per your taste/style.

I trust Plugable Products
In Nov 2016 I purchased the UD-3900 Dual Monitor Docking Station and it has worked flawless ever since. I decided to buy this UD-6950H because it is newer and takes up less space on my desk and it allows me to have 2, 4K Monitors plus all the other hook-ups and in 10 minutes I had it working and I love it and recommend it to anyone wanting to have 2 extra Monitors and able to move from one to the other very easy.

Works on ASUS Zenbook with 1st gen USB-C
Finally got a dual display (up to 4K) docking station/extender that would work with my “1st gen” USB-C port on my ASUS Zenbook. I cannot tell you how many other adapter from single dongle for 1 display to a bit nicer one at $60 price range reputation CableMatters splitter, none of those would work with 1st gen USB-C port. This Plugable one works perfectly fine at barely over $120 price point. So it didn’t really break the bank per se and it even has a USB-C to USB-C cable as well as USB-C to USB-3.0 cable for docking station use. So I feel this is so universal that when I use my work laptop or other laptops that has either port, it will just work. So far after 3 months, it still works without any issues. Having many USB 3.0 ports in front and back is really handy too!

Worked great with a new dell XPS 4K laptop in a dual 4k monitor setup
I'm always skeptical about trying new docking solutions but this one worked great. I have a dual monitor setup with a new Dell XPS 15" laptop with a 4k built-in display. I was concerned that it might not push the signal at 4k to both monitors, but it worked perfectly - both of the external monitors have 4k resolution and there were none of the mirroring issues I've run into with other docks that will only mirror the displays - if you've run into this limitation, you know what I'm talking about and how infuriating it can be. You can seamlessly drag the mouse from left to right across the two external monitors and the laptop's screen with no lag and no issues whatsoever. I ran into one bluescreen during the installation process and thought the dock was done for, but after rebooting one more time everything came up perfectly and haven't had any issues since after several weeks of use. Nice product. Ethernet and usb and everything else I've tried so far works great too.
