For us guys that have them tree trunk legs. These work pants are for you. Bottom line is, these pants are loose & comfortable around big thighs, stretch comfortably while bent over, climbing, etc., light weight & cool while working in the heat & most importantly, very durable in the field & job site. I highly recommend these pants for us stocky guys.

I'm a bigger guy with tree trunks for legs and work as a technician on fishing vessels for a living. Finding pants that fit me as they should is a constant uphill battle, much less a pair of work pants that would give me the flexibility to do my job effectively. This is no longer an issue in the least now that I've found these pants. The stretch in them makes crouching, bending, or any other activity feel as though I were just wearing gym shorts. They are also extremely rugged. Where other pants have torn or frayed after a few months of use, I have been wearing a few pairs of these for several years and they are holding up as if they were brand new (albeit the stains I've gotten on them). I can't recommend these enough for folks that have big legs and need flexibility to do their job.

Unable to find women's work pants with enough depth in the rise to keep the pants up while I'm working and my frustration with the difficulty of finding women's pants the right length for my slightly-longer-than-average legs, I decided to try men's pants. Lucky for me (and Amazon's returns department), I was able to try on my son's well-worn and many times washed Carhartts to get a reasonable guess as to what size pants to order for myself. My first pair was a 32x34 B151 (son's favorite summer-weight pant) and after a couple of washings (very slight shrinkage). They are comfortable for working, but just a bit baggy for the ideal fashion statement. This was my second try (31x34) and it just might become my favorite. They fit trimly and the spandex ensures that movement is free and easy. A belt is necessary to snug them at the waist (I have managed to avoid the extra step of putting on a belt for decades) - I expected this with a men's cut - but (unlike the women's pants I tried) at least the waist is high enough that the belt actually holds my pants up.

I've been looking for good pants for years and finally found these. Not too expensive, great fit, and pockets only where you need them. I never liked jeans (they tended to bind), cargo pants are too informal, and nothing else fit quite right. With just a touch of spandex, these things move with you and never bite. The only better pants I've found are from Duluth Trading Company, and they have the same idea: cotton with a bit of spandex. Works like a charm.

Pay attention to length, consider going up a size. Otherwise, these pants are a great midweight work pant. The flex is a nice feature and perfect if you have to bend down at work, e.g. carpenter, plumber, etc. Great range pants and more affordable and discreet than 5.11 or other tacticool brands. If you subscribe to any of the tenants of the Grey Man Directive, these pants are serviceable. Pockets are deep, comes with a left leg cell pocket. Quality stitching and great overall fit. Will buy again.

I've been wearing Carhartt pants to work almost exclusively for the past five years or so. Mostly I've been wearing the B151s and B159s. I hate sitting on my cell phone and I detest having to dig it out from a front pocket, so I was first attracted to these pants because of the cell phone pocket on the right leg. It holds a phone securely, with easy access sitting or standing. I work in a construction office, and while a lot of my work is at a desk, I do spend time doing field work as well. The B151 and B159 pants straddle (pardon the mental image) that fence quite well, but lean more toward the field work side of my world. Enter these glorious Rugged Flex Rigby Dungarees: They fill in the blanks that the 151s and 159s missed. They're equally at home in an airport or on a construction site. Cell phone pocket only on one side, instead of the uselessly small left-side pockets and dorky hammer loop that I always cut off on the others (seriously, what self-respecting carpenter would stick a hammer in his pants?). They have just a bit of flex in them, which keeps them from binding up. They're not as loose as my B151s, but they feel more comfortable because of the flex. I never expect to find pants that I'll like better than these. In my experience, Carhartt pants always run long and tight, so I order one size shorter and one size wider than on other pants. Worked out perfectly on these.

The sizing of these are right on. The waist fits well, the legs aren't too tight or too baggy, and the length is spot on. They're comfortable and durable; I have three pairs and they're pretty much all I wear. The only issue is he cell phone pocket. It's in kind of a useless position. Doesn't really take anything away for me, as I wouldn't use it anyway, but if you intend to, it's in a really awkward spot.

I’ve only had these for a few days so keep that in mind, i will update later once I break em in. Like most things Carhartt, these pants are impressive. They run a little small as I wear a 36 waist in most pants but got 38x32s in these and they fit perfect I’m 6’0 and 240lbs. They are comfortable, they stretch a little since they have some spandex in them, and they are pretty lightweight. I will be buying another pair or two and would definitely recommend these pants.

Needed work pants that fit my bigger rear and legs and move with me since I started Starting Strength. These do, still had to size up from 36 to 38 to get my legs and butt to fit comfortably, not as durable as the double front Duck, but much better than jeans. Also I'll stop wrecking all my "nice pants" which will make my wife happy. By no means are these Athletic fit but by all means the closest to an Athletic Fit Work Pant I have found. If these were available in double front, I would buy some.

I purchase a balanced amount of products between brick and mortar stores and online. Plenty of stores carry Carhartt clothing but no one close to me carries the Carhartt Flex Rigby with the exception of Academy, and only in the camo/mossy oak color. So of course I went there to at least verify what size in the Flex Rigby would work. For those who care, even though I didn't purchase these pants from Academy, I did purchase other items that day. I ordered these from Amazon in size 33x30. The waist is perfect and as expected; it seems identical to multiple pairs of Levi's 559's I have. The length was a surprise, as it's closer to a 32 than a 30 if comparing to the same Levi's. The size of the leg opening at the bottom is 17 13/16", and nearly identical to the Levi's 559 as well, which is to say just right for not swallowing tennis shoes but still open enough to easily fit over a work boot. The leg portion fit is more like a "normal" (read not skinny jeans) pair of jeans and are also not so large that you feel like your wearing a sumo suit. The flex at first wasn't that noticeable, but that's only because it's just the right amount and not overdone to a point you feel like your wearing spandex. The flex is definitely a great feature though and one that's immediately realized once you put on a "non-flex" pair of jeans. The feel of the material is closer to your regular blue jeans, and not stiff or "scratchy" like the ripstop or heavy duty work pants. The side cellphone pocket; it'll fit a Samsung Galaxy in an Otterbox case by the way. I think the picture for the dark khakis is incorrect as in person the dark khakis is as one would probably expect, which is darker than the pair shown in the picture. I hope they wear as well as the Carhartt cargo ripstops, which are very similar in the fit. Of course where they're made can make a difference in the sizing, but the 33x30's in Dark Khakis seem to be a winner, even if a touch on the long side. UPDATE: 1/20/19 - The pants have been worn close to once a week since purchase, and although not subjected to harsh work environments, they've worn great. Belt loops still in tact, top corners of rear pockets show no signs of wearing through or pulling apart, and the fit seems to be the same and with no noticeable signs of wearing in any stress areas.
