I have purchased this before and already knew that the plastic holding the latch is a weak point. If you are worried that you might forget the compo the weak link on the latch makes the case easy to pry open (you will destroy the latch). In my case I wanted more security so I already knew that I need to buy a couple of fender washers, a regular washer and a plastic thread screw to reinforce the latch so I give it 5 stars since it is what I expect and for the price I am willing to modify the latch.

Best for the buck

Nicely made holds a full size 1911. I know it’s not the best. But $20 is doable $300 isn’t on my budget. I would like one of these to hold a rifle or shotgun.

Surprisingly sturdy!

HEAVY DUTY steel box, more than adequate to keep young children (1-5) out and away the pew pews until they understand better. As far as keeping it away from school age children and theives, if they have tools it won’t put up much of a fight. The only issue I encountered is a personal one to me because of the size of pistol I decided to stow. As you can see in the photos, it’s a tight fit for a full size handgun with TLR2 attached. I had to remove the bottom layer of foam to get my setup to fit properly and lock/unlock. Other smaller guns fit with room for another (G26, LC9s pro & S&W 642). If I took the Streamlight off it would fit with room to spare but I didn’t want to sacrifice my setup to accommodate the box so the best option was to remove the bottom foam. I can also see how people have broken the dial on it, it’s a bit frail so I’m gentle. BUT all in all, I recommend this to my family with firearms for when my son goes to visit and they purchased one that day once they saw mine. I will 100% buy another when needed.

Great price and quality.

I been searching online for a gun safe box for weeks, I picked this one because i wanted something simple and cost effective. I was very shocked at the awesome quality of this lock box. All metal and you can set the combination lock to your preferred number sequence. This is great for keeping your firearm safe from your children. It is worth the price.

So far good

Came quickly. Was easy to install and to set the combination. Instructions were easy to follow and worked well. Will let you know how it holds up after time in more posts probably in 6 month intervals to let you know how it works/lasts.

Slim safe. Quick access

safes are great. Easy to make your own passcode and so slim that they’re very easily hidden from plain sight. Will definitely be ordering more.

Good for the price!!

This is a no frills reasonably made product that gets the job done and it does exactly what I need it to do. Not fancy or fast but I don’t need fast, just something to slow a theif down when I am in a place I cannot carry!! Bought two and would recommend them for short term, all I need.

Great little travel safe

Perfect little safe for on the go. I use this in my vehicles when camping or long travel, to lock up my pistol. Much better than the alternative glovebox method. It can be tucked away out of site and is less likely to be a victim of a smash and grab. The combo lock seems to be well built and reduces the bulk of my key ring that much more. This is not a Fort Knox safe but will slow down any would be theif.

Can change the passcode

Bought this to store my Ruger LCP. It's the perfect size to fit the gun, my IWB holster, extra magazine, and my earplugs. It's not the most secure safe ever and it's probably not fireproof, but its at least one barrier from unintended handling. It also has a little cable that can be locked inside. For example, you could wrap the cable around something and prevent theft of the entire system.
