Inexpensive and easy to set up

Bought this since it was on a special deal, and the price per unit is good since it's in a four-pack. The form factor is good, not too bulky like some other smart outlets. Easy to switch the units on and off by hand if you're close to it. Very easy to sync to the TP-LINK app that I use to control most of my other smart outlets.

Perfect for peace of mind and very easy to set up and use

I have bought these several times now as I keep thinking of things to use them for. My primary purpose was to plug in our home camera system DVR, When we are away, and it malfunctions, there is no way to reboot the DVR without being there. With this plug, I am able to use my phone from any where in the world to turn off the plug and turn it back on which will reboot the system. I never have to be without the camera again. Same is true for modem and router systems. If I can't remotely reboot, I can always turn off the plug. They are easy to set up too. I am the techy one but my husband was able to do so by himself without any techy experience.

Work as advertised

I recently bought the Teckin smartplugs at Amazon and they've been an excellent buy. The install is very easy through the app (I use an Android phone), you simply insert the smartplugs in the wall socket and look for them in the app. The self discovery made the process easy. Once hooked-up to your WiFi, I was able to go into my Google home app and assign them to rooms and groups. The best part, turning on or off those hard to reach plugs for the wall cabinets, or frequently used devices is a synch... The plugs have functioned flawlessly via their Google integration, or their own app... I would recommend the Teckin smartplugs to any user... And you dont have to be super tech savy to use them.

Big Fan of Teckin Outlets

I bought the wifi power strip from Teckin and also needed a pair of outlet modules. For a pack of four it was cheaper of course. These are great outlets modules. I have been buying and trying varying brands since before they were wifi and still used RF. The Teckin outlets are much smaller and let me plug in 2 per outlet instead of just one. The status LED is behind the button so it's not blaring brightly in a dark room. They say they are rated to 10amps but after opening one up I see they have a 10 amp fuse protecting the relay. I would stay under 10amps and keep closer to 8 amps. Most of the time this is far from an issue. You can control most lights and fans with this module. I use them mostly for lamps and a few pedestal fans as well as 2 air cleaners. The Smartlife Ap is useful and recently I noticed my Alexa started picking up the devices without me needing to add them. Once I named them in smartlife, the Echo had them ready to go. There are a lot of outlet modules for sale but so far these are my favorite. The main thing that wins for me here is the size. THe other brands I own work fine and are just as high quality but these are small and not obnoxious in a dark room with a bright blue LED. You won't be dissapointed.

Easy to install and use

These couldn't be easier to install. They pair quickly and easily with the Smart Life app which is great because it means I can use the same app I use for my other smart devices and not have to install yet another app dedicated to one vendor. I used two of the outlets and gave two to my girlfriend. I'm a Google Home user and she uses Alexa. The plugs integrated with both easily and work great with both platforms.

I installed the app on my Galaxy Note 9 and my husband's Galaxy S9+ (both Android) and created an account on 1 phone and logged into another phone's app. Then it literally took several minutes to program all 4 sockets (dining room chandelier, living room reading light, diffuser, & wifi)! It was a breeze & works perfectly on both phones and on our Alexa (both the Dot & Alexa app). On the app, it tells me if each device is on or not. If, for instance, I went to bed & wanted to double check whether everything is off or not. This would be perfect for Christmas lights too. Usually I don't leave reviews but I love the convenience & ease of use of these things! I love that I can turn off wifi if my children are online for too long and I am breastfeeding & cannot get up to tell them that it's enough or turn it off in person. I just use my phone to turn the wifi off and they stop what they're doing. I absolutely love it! Just a side not, I do have to press the button on the plug to turn the wifi back on when necessary. But it's no big deal for me because the main thing is I can turn it off without having to walk to the router.

Make sure you're using 2.4ghz

Make sure you're using 2.4ghz, I was losing my mind for a few minutes until I looked and noticed that my phone was connected to my router on the 5ghz range. These will only work on initial setup over 2.4ghz, the phone and device will need to be on the same frequency.

Steady and Consistent

I bought these to replace another brand that started intermittent loss on Alexa. I had gotten use to my routines I created, and using Alexa to add lights when house was vacant. Other brand started dropping out, then resetting, so I wanted alternative. These little guys really did the job. I've had installed for a few months now, and no dropping connection, always work, no issues whatever. I'm using to control accent lighting, and floor lamps in living area, as well as a box fan in the bedroom. Easy setup, then forget, they just keep doing what Alexa' asks, each time. Nothing better than a device that is sold and works as advertised.

These Teckin plugs are good I bought two more!

I bought this product first and then I bought two more plugs because of how amazing these are! The Teckin smart plugs are easy to install and use. They do not need a hub and it's easy to set up Alexa integration. I have these connected to items that I know use a lot of electricity. So when I am away from my apartment, these items are off saving me money on my electricity bill. I would highly recommend these and have not had a connectice issue with these yet!
