The right size for pocket cameras

I wanted to add a remote control for my Sony RX100 VI. I found the "AODELAN Camera Wireless Shutter Release Remote Control", which worked well, but created another problem...how to mount it. This mount solved that problem! I tested it with the Sony RX100 VI, Olympus Tough TG-5 and Garmin Virb Ultra 30 with EVO SS Wearable Gimbal (see pictures). Pros: Light weight Strong Perfect size for pocket cameras Allows to easily mount two accessories plus the camera Can be mounted on a self stick, tripod and so on (standard threads) All metal (except for the rubber pads) Cons: The finish could be more refined, you can see some imperfections on the sides, but nothing so bad that I would remove one star.

Simple, inexpensive way to extend the versatility of your gimbal

This is a very versatile device to extend the usefulness of your gimbal (if it has a 1/4-20 tripod screw socket on the bottom of its grip). There are two pieces. One is a four-inch long bracket with 1/4-20 tripod screws on each end. Each of the screws has a 1/4-20 socket on the bottom, so yet another device such as a tripod can be attached. There is also a three slot cold-shoe mount that attaches to one end of the bracket. You can mount microphones, lights, recorders or other small devices on this mount. This is an easy way, for example, to mount a small light on your gimbal`. With a small LED light and Rode mic attached, the balance of my DJI Osmo Mobile 2 was not adversely effective. Construction and finish are top-notch. There is a small rubberized pad on each top surface of the bracket, so firm attachments can be affected. Overall, this is an inexpensive and very effective way to extend the versatility of your gimbal. Jerry

Who knew how versatile?

I do alot of video with my cell phone and gimbal. I didn't like the audio from the phone so I wanted to use my shotgun mic with it. I found this handy extension bar that allows me to mount my RODE mic to it easily. I can capture audio either coming from me or from others in front of the camera by just moving it round. And since it has 3 cold shoes, I can mount it to make sure it doesn't impede my usage of my gimbal. Quality is excellent and the price point was just as excellent. Now I look more like a pro!. People have asked about my setup and that tells me it was a good choice to make

Life Saver

Used it to affix a Rode Mic mini run to a Zoom H1N recorder, and an Aperture M-9 light to my Sony RX100 V. Keeps my kit compact while allowing me to get better audio with a camera that has no audio input.

great in a youtube rig

I use this as part of my youtube rig for external mics with my dji pocket holder and phone mount.

Happy with it

I was surprised. Seems to be mostly metal. Use with GoPro on handheld tripod and a camcorder that doesn't have a hot shoe. Only issue if if you hand hold a camcorder you can't use hand strap or open viewing screen. It blocks these functions.

Great mount for your camera accessories

I mount this to the bottom of my gimbal for adding mic and light for video and it works well. Made of high quality aluminum, not plastic, so this will hold up for as long as I will ever use it. I can also add my tripod base below this adapter so that makes it even nicer.

Buy it... you wont regret it

Cheap and very very very effective. I use this with my gimbal and i love it. The gimbal i have has its own but its ridiculously over priced. With this one you could get 3 of them stacked face each direction and front and center and have and abundant amount of mounts for all you accessories.
