Perfect Science Project

I have 8 grandchildren and this is the second time I have ordered the habitat cage as the children reach an age where they are interested. It is a perfect size and the "care instructions" are an added bonus!

Fun project

Liked it because the caterpillars definitely cannot crawl away. It is easy to see to watch the progress from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. Also fun that you can keep the butterfly for 2 days before you need to release it. These are good for any age.

Small tears in mesh.....EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Flimsy and there were several small tears in the mesh. Big enough tears to where the smaller caterpillars could escape so I’m returning this item. Also, the only access is by unzipping the entire top. Fine while the caterpillars are young, but once they form a crysilis, you can’t access the cage so if you have to feed other larve, or clean the cage(which is daily), you would disturb the hanging crysilis. ****EDITED: Seller refunded money for the return of this smaller cage, then sent me the larger cage AT NO COST! Excellent service! and the new cage is perfect! Thank you RestCloud!

Good for the price

I had trouble getting the product to expand properly because there were no instructions included. I found out the product has to be flipped inside-out to expand. It wasn't a big deal, and once the product was expanded it looks exactly as shown. There was a small rip in the top close to the zipper, but the hole is so small it won't cause any problems for me. I have put many months in this since I bought it and it works well for me.

Monarch Cats are eating away

Our habitat arrived the same days as our Monarch eggs hatched. Our caterpillars (CATS) have already eaten their weight in milkweed. The Restcould Habitat arrived in perfect condition and it doing a great job keeping our cats safe. As Our Cats began to build their chrysalis on the top, the top only entry to the habitat became an issue. Side entry would allow access without disturbing the process. Otherwise worked well.

Great quality, would buy again!

Absolutely great product! Looks exactly like the pictures and very easy to fold down and store. I needed a butterfly garden for my Insect Lore caterpillars as they entered the metamorphosis stage. I have ordered the Insect Lore caterpillar kit in the past (comes with the caterpillar cup, pop-up butterfly habitat, nectar feeder, etc.), but misplaced the pop-up habitat which I needed for my butterfly chrysalises at the time asap. The Restcloud butterfly habitat definitely served as a great replacement for the Insect Lore butterfly garden. They both are great quality and quite similar in style. I personally like the Restcloud habitat more because of the small zipper window on the side of the mesh wall which allows for easy access inside in order to put flowers, fruit, nectar, (etc.) for the butterflies. Love this product, would definitely recommend!

Great product!

We are going to use this to watch the life cycle of a monarch butterfly and then release it. The product is easy to use and comes with great instructions. My kids are very excited for the snow to melt so we can find some milkweed. The product appears to be very durable, the test will come with repeated use. Best thing is that it is completely enclosed with no open sides. There is a zippered door on the bottom of the model we bought.

Excellent Insect Habitat!!

This is a perfect little habitat for caterpillars to tent & build their cocoons & for your little naturalists to observe butterflies or other insects or reptiles. It will help them learn to keep a respectful distance from their temporary pets. I buy these for my grandkids every summer so they can watch the Monarch caterpillars they collect morph into butterflies & then release them It’s a very educational project. The habitat is a nice large size & very durable, but please remember it is made of netting & if treated with care should last several months. Ours last close to a year & then need to be replaced.

Better Quality than expected

For the price I paid for this net, I thought the zippers would be cheap or that the product would have issues, but it is actually much better quality than I expected. The zippers all work well, the net is dense (small holes instead of big ones). I would absolutely recommend it! (I have not been paid for this review, I am an actual reviewer. We bought caterpillars for our kids and are having them hatch in this net!)
