The Capparis Kitchen Silicone Stove Counter Gap Cover is an excellent product. It is wide enough, and long enough, to prevent spills between your stove and the counter (which has been an issue for me for quite some time). For me, it stays in place and is not tacky on the top to attract food, etc. The only issue for me was that the "clear" is not really clear; it is an opaque white rather than a solid white. The REAL shining star, though, is their customer service. I was contacted shortly after ordering to ensure my satisfaction. After receiving my order, I expressed concern over the color discrepancy and they IMMEDIATELY did what they could to correct it. No condemnation. No criticism. I felt valued! With a great product and excellent customer service, I am totally sold!!

Clean Range and Counter

They certainly do the job I got them for. I was concerned that they wouldn't be the correct length, but they're more than long enough. I will cut them to fit. Held off until I was certain of my satisfaction. The finish is matte but looks nice and wipes clean easily. The material they're made of settles into the space between counter and range easily and I don't have any trouble with them shifting positions. I'm happy with this purchase and recommend them to anyone.

Nicer than I thought it would be

I like the black color as it matches my stove top so it doesn't stand out like the white one I had. I also enjoy the soft silicone feel my old one fell from time to time and when it did it broke. That won't happen with this one. Fills gap great and washes nicely.

Prevent nasty cleanups!

These gap covers prevent drips and spills between the sides of the kitchen range and the cabinet. The most dramatic was a pot of chicken bones and scraps that was set on low overnight, just below simmer, to extract nutrients and evaporate to less than half the volume. In the morning I was just finishing making coffee and the lid of the soup kettle exploded straight up in the air and broth went everywhere. It took three hours for two people to clean up the mess. Now that I have gap covers there will never be a mess like that one! I gave a four on heat resistance because a friend who isn't careful allowed his cooking pot to overlap the gap cover a little and there's a light brown stain incorporated on one edge now. I bought a new set so I don't have to remember my friend's carelessness forever! I'll give the old ones to my son who's way less fussy about appearances than I am.

Works Great! Wish I had it Sooner!

Great solution for keeping the stove area in the kitchen clean! They keep food crumbs from spilling into the narrow (and hard to clean) gap between the counter and the stove. They are easily laid on the gap, stay firm between the counter and stove, and do not slide or skid. Well kept in place! Covers the gap perfectly (molds to uneven surfaces). They do not scratch and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth or warm water and soup. They definitely meet and exceed my expectations. Perfect (and cheap!) solution to keep the stove and oven area clean. I wish I had them long time ago, they are great help in keeping my kitchen clean! They look very nice and sleek as well!

Great and useful product!

These shields are exactly what I was looking for. The length is perfect, the matte black color is perfect. I have a black stove top and very dark countertops. The "fin" that goes down between the stove and the counter fit on one side but I had to trim off some on the other side because of the super tight fit in my kitchen....no fault of this product at all. It was an easy adjustment, it cut easily and I was able to make both side lay flat and even. Fast turnaround on this order, the buyer shipped quickly. I'm very satisfied.

A must-have if you're renting a house/apartment - saves on clean up between stove/counter!

Wish I had these in my life a long time ago ... I took a while to review this because I wanted a chance to really try it out. For the most part, it's as described - they actually fit pretty well, along the entire length of my stove and counter. I was hoping for "clear", but these are more white than clear, and it looks a little tacky, to be honest. However, looks aside, it definitely has more function-over-fashion in my kitchen. It keeps the small crumbs and stovetop splatters from falling between the stove and counter - so A+ for that! Also, it withstands damage when a hot pot/pan is placed on it - I wanted to see so I tested it a little, and no damage (yay, silicone)! I do wish these were less opaque looking, however, the picture is accurate - but the word "clear" is a little misleading ... these should maybe say something more like "transparent white" - or emphasize that they are not clear in the literal sense. On a side note, I spent about 15yrs living in rental homes (military, we moved a lot), and having this in those kitchens would have saved me from having to move the stove to clean that area... we usually saved money by not hiring a service, so I wish I'd known about these much sooner! So I say 5/5 for being super functional - they just need to get that "clear" aspect figured out and it'd be perfect.

They work great.

Bought these to replace metal alternatives I was using previously, and I have no idea what took me so long to purchase these. I first became aware that these silicone covers existed when I stumbled across them in a brick-and-mortar that offers rollback prices. This store was selling them for $10 each, and I almost purchased 2 of them until I decided to see if Amazon sold something similar. To my surprise, they did, and as a set for less than the price of two from the smiley store. They work great. The stove is not perfectly level with the two counters on either side of it. In fact, on counter-top is set just slight higher than the other, which cause the previous guards to rock on one side more than the other. Since these are more malleable, they quickly bent and conformed to the different heights. They also done slip or slide light the previous guards; big bonus consider that I would sometimes but the old ones while moving things on/off the stove. And since these things are made out of silicone, any mess I may create can easily be wiped clean. I would have no problem recommending these to anyone else.

Sturdy, easy clean up & a kitchen essential

These stove counter gap cover is the best invention for the kitchen! They act as an extra buffer between your stove and the counter. No more messy spills down the side of the stove that you will have to pull the entire stove out to clean up. The clean up of these is such a breeze. If anything does manage to slip under the length is long enough that you just have to lift up a corner and get the rest of that grease or dirt cleaned up. I often use these to hold my spoon instead of laying it on the counter because it provides a slip resistant surface as well as easy clean up! They match the stove great and blend in well. Mine seemed to look extra long and extended past the edge of the counter top but I don't mind and they are easy to clip if you wish to trim them down. They lasted through all the cooking for about 20 people during Thanksgiving and Christmas without any wear and tear. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to make clean up a tad easier.

Fits snugly

Fits well, have a narrow gap between stove and counter on both sides, < 1/2 inch and these fit well. Pros: - Does what is should, keeps the crumbs out. I cleaned the sides/bottom of my oven before installing these and... yuck, might be crumbs to us but a feast to La Cucaracha! You know the usual stuff, like that milk or oatmeal that boiled over and ran down the side, grease from frying and splattering, grains of rice, etc. (even though we do the usual Spring cleaning). - Easy to cut to fit, appears some negative reviews were due to size but appears that was before they had 21 and 24" options. My stove is 21 and fits nice, in fact had to cut about 1/4 end off the end of each and the width is perfect. I only had to adjust the length so scissors worked fine, but if I had to narrow/cut it lengthwise would use a razor and straight edge of some kind. - Easy to clean, wipes off with soap/water as the product description states, can't say for long term as only being using a couple weeks. - Heat "resistant" - noting I'm careful not to set pans on top of the cover, so nothing has melted yet (but I'm not going to test it). Think this is same silicon as the baking mats, so only takes heat up to a point (obviously easier to control heat in oven than on a stovetop), the cover "sticks" nice so far so haven't had any issues getting too close to a burner. - Forms a pretty good "seal" on both the stove and counter sides, better on the counter side because the counter does not had a lip like the stove, but the cover sits on top of the stovetop lip ok (the divider on the underside of the cove is off center, which is perfect as I need it narrower on the stove side so it's not too close to the burner). Cons: - It's a very matte black. Wish it were more "glossy" (like the underside) to match my glossy black stove, but a minor complaint, probably hard to do considering the material. - It was shipped a little bent (probably Amazon), but still straightened out ok after a day or two because it is pliable, if it had been folder in hald hard to say. - I would not recommend with a gas stove (common sense says that if this handles <450 degrees F (446 per the description) an open flame that's too close or even a really hot pan is a bad idea (natural gas/methane burns at 3,542, almost 8 times what the silicon will tolerate. Overall it's the best solution available to the impossible-to-clean-up mess problem, as others have noted the metal options available out there all suck and silicon is really the only option that takes (some) heat and is also pliable/soft enough to seal. Also appears from other posts the customer service is really good, and they do follow up after your purchase and troll the reviews to make sure you're happy (I would have posted a good review anyways). Bottom line I would buy again and recommend to others.
