Great Idea!
I think this thing is a great idea. It beats having to build a box, or having to block up the unit, to match these old-construction dwellings. However, as you can see, it really wasn't made for this type of window; the support legs are not long enough, or maybe the platform needs to be adjustable as well. It took a little thinking, and some prep work, but it is mounted, and it is definitely sturdy. If you look at pic, you can see where I had to attach a 2x4 to wall, under window ledge, for supports to grab onto. I am 185 lbs and I was hanging on the outside edge, feet completely off the ground. I was more concerned about the window failing than the ac mount. My only slight issue with the product is I think for what it is, it is a bit pricey. Yet, I will not deny it is well made, and it is easily installed under normal circumstances. In spite of the price, I would recommend this for anyone using a window ac, even above 1st floor levels.

Super easy to install
Made installing the ac a breeze. Honestly, it took all of 5 minutes to install. Works perfectly, adds a sturdiness that I felt was lacking (ac is in my second floor bedroom so I didn’t want it tipping out of a window). This bracket was about double the price of another bracket that I purchased last year from a home improvement store. However, that bracket was so difficult to install I ended up not even using it. This bracket was beyond simple and looks like it will hold up for years making this annual chore much less annoying. Highly recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for!
If you have windows that are “oversized”, which are pretty much all newer windows (36+ inches) and have a lip on your window, these are perfect! They go together easily and mounted within a minute or two. Very sturdy. Right now, holding up an AC that is 115pds no problem and there is no stress on the window. The only downside is how expensive they are... but if you don’t want to drill holes and still want quality support, they are worth it in the long run!

Dude! This invention ROCKS!!
Whoever invented this is GENIUS! I have older standard hung windows that have basic aluminum housing and just doesn't seem durable enough to hold the weight of this new A/C unit I bought. Well let me tell you-- This support set up is PERFECT! It took me 6 minutes from START to FINISH to install EVERYTHING! No drilling, screws, nothing but ease. The Wall takes all of the weight. No weight on the window at all. Worth every cent I paid. I would buy it AGAIN!

Make your life simple
I live in NYC, which means like most people here I'm terrified of a window AC randomly dropping from the sky and killing me. While I can't stop others from not properly securing their AC units, this product brings me comfort knowing that my window AC won't be killing any New Yorkers. :) The design of this product is flawless. It took about a minute to assemble (no tools), and about a minute to install (no tools). It's incredibly sturdy and adjusted to my window size like a custom fit product. The instructions are really short and clear as day. Thank you to whoever designed this product. Please design more in life, the world needs you.

Didnt fit a 32" Vinyl window safely.
Bracket is well made but it hangs entirely on the window and I felt my window was not strong enough to support a 15,100 btu air conditioner that weighs over 100LBS and you know its going to vibrate. I thought it might be able to reach the wall but my window was right at the limit of how far it expanded so nope. A 30" wide window or less would probably work perfectly. Again bracket is well made just didn't suit my situation.

Worth the Cost
So happy I decided to spend the $ and order this item! SO EASY! I have 3 A/C units. 2 of them you can put right in and close the window as the weight of them is all in the front portion. With my recently purchased unit however, all the weight of the A/C is in the back so I needed some type of support. I didn't want to start drilling holes in my window sills and some of those I looked at you actually had to attach to the outside of the house. No thanks! If I ever have the need to buy another A/C unit that needs support, I will order this bracket. This A/C is in my home office, but with this bracket I can easily move the unit to another room if necessary (to guest bedroom for houseguests). Don't hesitate....buy it!

If you want easy, this is it!
I was looking for something that I, a 66 year old still trying to DIY, could easily do, and this was definitely it. Putting it together was an absolute breeze. Afterwards, I slipped it through the window and my husband adjusted the feet, and bam, shazam, we placed the AC on it and we were "done and dusted" as the Brits like to say. I thought it was a bit pricey, but for the ease of use, I would buy another (which I'm considering to replace the awful stand that is holding up our living room window AC. Hope this helps those looking to make a decision about this stand.

Sturdy and well designed.
Bought this for a friend. It makes installation of heavy window units much easier. You need to have some kind of lip for the front edge to catch. In his case, the ends of the front bar fit in nicely with the window frame. It leaves a gap under the AC unit, but a towel or foam will fill that easily. The work required to fill in a gap is much less than the work needed to get the unit shimmed so that it wouldn't fall.

Insanely simple to assemble but instructions omit a nice feature
Not the cheapest, but I bought this after deciding I liked the external 2 supports rather than one The insertion of the internal horizontal brakets are a no brainer as each one will only go into it's proper side. The external supports slide into the brackets and you can adjust them towards the house till you get a nice fit with the proper 1/4" to 1/2" tilt away from the house. What the instructions fail to mention is that the external brackets are more finely adjustable. They come with the locking buttons fully towards the house. If your exterior is not the same on each side or if you need a finer adjustment you can take the external brackets out, and pull the locking buttons and reinsert them one hole further away from the house. This give you a 1/2 hole adjust ability instead of one hole adjust ability for finer tuning. I had to adjust one of my supports that way to get the mount even (shown in photo). I think I really like this device and will update the review after a season's weathering.
