i bought this for my bunnies and absolutely love it. i think a lot of people are buying it thinking it's going to be the equivalent of another wall. it's a sturdy nylon mesh with durable velcro straps (my bunnies haven't managed to break through a single velcro strip despite their chewing). it's works well and keeps them in the pen. one of my bunnies has taken to trying to bust through the top and it has withstood that as well. if you're looking for something to hold a determined dog i think you'll find that using mesh and velcro is just wishful thinking unless the pup is well trained. this product worked out perfectly for me but if you're looking to make your pen fort knox i would suggest another product.

We've been using this for a year and a half now for our Yorkie and chihuahua and love it. We've had no problems whatsoever. Easy to set up, easy to move, easy to clean. We leave the door open during the day so they have access to their beds and food. They stay in the pen anytime we have to leave the house. We purchased a remnant piece of linoleum from Home Depot and at a reasonable price, and his protects our hard wood floor from any spills or accidents. I would definitely recommend for small dogs. The picture attached is of two IRIS pens put together.

I loved it for the first year of my pup's life! He couldn't even jump over it so that was great! Even bought two extra doors for it as he got bigger and that was great too. It worked well for us, but If your dog is a jumper, probably won't work. He's 11months and about 70lbs now. 😄 So now we use it to put a Christmas tree inside or other miscallaneous things that he wouldn't try to get.

Great quality and spacious for my small shih tzu.

This is one of the best things I ever bought!! I have it with the e-z Whelp pads which is another very good purchase and the Puppy Go Here Dog Litter Pan. My daughter says that Onyx has his own little condo set up in the house. He goes and comes when ever he feels like it except for night when i have the gate secured. He sleeps till the 6 or 7 in the morning when its time to put the food and water down back in and he is happy as a clam. Onyx is a 3lb maltipoo he may gain another lb or 2 before its all over but for my dog this is just perfect!!!!. Got it on Friday March 21 (3days ago) and so far no issues yet. No knocking over or trying to climb out. At first I had the puppy pad holder in the pen which I didn't like because after folding the pad to fit the holder, there was hardly any room for him to use on the pad. Then I just put the pad down with the top and left side blue edges of the pad secured by the iris pen. The pen is heavy enough to hold the pad down and keep him form pulling it out. If i had a girl dog I might have just stayed with that but since males are prone to raise their leg at a certain age I got the litter pan. Now everything is right in puppy land!!!

I use this for my elderly collie and also the occasional foster puppies I bring home, and sometimes for dogs I pet sit that need a bit of alone space... PROs: - easy to put together, take apart, store. - No rough edges, has never hurt any animal I've ever used it with. - little door works for tiny puppies and smaller adults that want to go in and out on their own. CONs: -It is TINY. I use it with primarily puppies and smaller dogs I pet sit. My collie, who is dog and small animal aggressive, can't get in it even though in his youth he would easily be able to jump it or rip it up. I have to open a whole panel to put him in it, which I sometimes do if he's being a brat and not listening to me when I say he can't kill a cat. Overall not a problem with the product though, more, I can't find the RIGHT product... this one works well for what it was intended for!

It’s been a lot of years since I had a new Puppy and this playpen was recommended by the Breeder of our sweet little new addition. This is so much better than those cold and clumsy metal crates which never worked for me as I felt bad putting my puppies in a cage. These are so different and our new Puppy loves her little place. It’s a confinement but I think she feels very secure and even when I leave the door open she chooses to go in and out so she’s not viewing it as a punishment. It was very easy to put together and a very good price but the many pieces of hardware for the door can be intimidating. It’s too bad they don’t install that before shipping as it seems it would take more time to package all those screws, latches and hinges. Other than that though – It’s a great little pen and my little Gal Loves it! I also love it and actually bought 2 – one for the family room and one for the bedroom so she can be close to us at all times.

I have used this IRIS pet playpen for 5 small breed puppies: 2 imperial Shih Tzus, 2 Pomeranians and also one terrier mix puppy, as a place we could have them when we didn't want them in smaller crates so they could have access to their food, water, toys, bed and puppy pads. We are following Ian Dunbar's potty training methods with our last puppy. Which recommends use of both a crate and a longer term confinement area for when we can't keep our eyes on him. The Shih Tzus were both low energy puppies and did great with these, without the mesh cover needed. They were not climbers or jumpers. One of my pom puppies (current puppy) is a climber and a jumper so for him we needed the mesh top and he also figured out how to open the Velcro so we used zip ties to keep it nice and tight on there. So far he's not tried to get it off again with this modification. My other pom puppy did great when she needed to be confined as she was not a jumper or a chewer. Our terrier puppy was adopted from the shelter with some serious separation anxiety. She did well enough with the pen with the mesh cover on, no modifications needed. Would definitely recommend this if you need a confinement area when you can't keep your eyes on your pup. I noticed that the newer version out doesn't seem to work with the mesh top. At least that is what I found from researching on their website.

We bought 2 and combined it into one to give our puppy extra room to walk. Although one would be fine for a small Pomeranian, but since we leave him in his crib most of the day so we wanted him to move around. Easy to assemble and transport!
