Wish I bought it sooner
We bought the Lavario so we could avoid washing our dog’s bedding in our family’s washing machine. It is incredibly simple to operate. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by how well it cleaned everything. I ended up washing our work gloves and gardening gloves in the Lavario as well. From start to finish, each “wash cycle” took us around 8 minutes and that includes soaking the clothes for 5 minutes.

Easy to use and cleans
We have used this washer for a few weeks now. We like that it is very sturdy and easy to use. We have placed it in our guest shower and set up a mini-laundry area there. We think it works best for delicates and lightly soiled items. It doesn't have the power to remove more heavy dirt carrying items like my son's socks that get covered in dirt and debris. Overall we're glad we have it as our washing machine tends to destroy our nicer clothes and we recently had a leak that caused us to not be able to use our washing machine for weeks. It is a life saver for those times! I would recommend to soak for a good long time to really allow deeper cleaning, especially if your clothes has odors. Also, we bought a little spin "dryer" to help get most of the moisture out so we can hang clothes or use the dryer.

Intended for RV
I bought this for our RV and decided to check it out at home first. I've washed jeans, towels, pillows, and undergarments. I love it, so when we are not in the RV it is here at the house. The directions say to soak the laundry first, highly recommended, but they also say to not be too vigorous with the up and down motion. I actually find that it is most helpful, if you're physically able to, to be as vigorous as possible with the thing. It is well made and I don't feel any resistance that seems like it'll damage it. Anyway, love it!!

It works well if you use it correctly
My portable electric washer broke and I replaced it with the lavario. There is of course a learning curve. The instructions state to leave the clothing soak for five minutes, but I found that 5 minutes was not long enough to remove stains, food or underarm deoderant residue from the clothing. If I soak heavily stained items in warm to hot water for 30 to 60 minutes, the clothes come out clean. for items with no stains, a 10 to 15 minute soak works great. I only use warm to hot water, If you use cold water only, I would recommend soaking the clothing for at least an hour. lifting the basket up and down 30 times for each load of laundry can be difficult, to save your shoulders, push the basket down and let it float back up naturally, pushing it down takes no strength at all, pulling the basket up, is a true bicep workout. Lastly, get an electric spin dryer, the lavario says to empty the bucket, put the clothing in the bottom and push down on the basket to drain water, no matter how hard you push, the clothing will still be soaking wet. I like this washer because it will never break, its quiet, easy to use and works well.

Great portable manual clothes washer for apartment or RV!
I was very pleased when the Lavario washer arrived. It was packaged very well. Be sure to read the warnings/instructions about how to secure the lid so you won't break the fasteners; it has to be secured properly, and it's not difficult. I've tried several other portable washers (manual & electric), but the Lavario is taller & upright; you don't have to set it on a table/counter. I have mine in my walk-in shower; you can use your bathtub as well. You fill the base 2/3 full of water, put your clothes in the small basket & secure the lid properly, then push it down in the water in the groves of the base unit. The motion is straight up and down 10 times, let it soak for 10 minutes, then finish another 10 times up and down, then you undo the drain cap on the bottom, and allow the water to drain out; pick up the basket by the handles, set it on the shower floor on something clean, and allow it to drain out (I set mine on a clean kitchen garbage bag...it does have to sit and drain a few minutes. Then you re-do the process to rinse with clean water with the same action (You may prefer more than once, but I didn't need to because I used only a small amount of detergent. I used a short squirt of "Pure" liquid detergent when I wash, and clean water to rinse. You can add bleach, but be very careful with your eyes and clothes, because it does splash a bit. I liked the Lavario because it is upright, and I'm short enough for this to work well for me as a regular washer, but they are small loads if you want to just use it for unmentionables, or just stinky socks, or baby clothes that you don't want to contaminate your regular clothes. After your clothes are rinsed and have drained enough, you can put them in another plastic wet clothes basket, and either put them to an electric clothes spinner to get the water out (I happen to have one that I used with that crank ball-like washer), or you can hand wring them and hang them up. The spinner is the best way to get the water out, but you CAN live without the spinner if you have to. All in all, I am very happy with the Lavario Portable Clothes Washer. I take my sheets & large items to the Laundry Mat because after all if you are in an apartment or condo, how would you hang them up? You will really like the Lavario for traveling in an RV as well. It's so much easier and less messy than that twirling hand crank unit others sell. I hope you consider the Lavario for your portable clothes washing needs.

Easy to use, cleans clothes very well
This is so easy to use, it cleans all manner of clothes from delicate clothing, fine garments to jeans and sweaters. I've washed sheets and towels, they come out very clean. I was surprised. I thought I would only use this for my fine garments and under things but found its so easy to use, I use it for sheets and towels. Excellent purchase.

Great product!
I am an athlete with a full-time job. When I am not at work I’m either, at my cross fit gym, on a run, in a pool, doing yoga etc. I despise doing large loads of accumulated laundry, and then handwashing all my athletic things. I stumbled upon Lavario on Amazon, it is now my go to for all my work-out clothes, they come out really clean and fresh smelling. Lavario is so well-designed—different than all the other portable washers that I checked out. The up & down motion is so easy, I am now doing all my laundry in it. I’m buying another Lavario as a gift for my brother.

Excellent option for gym clothes
I've been using the Lavario Clothes Washer for a few weeks and absolutely love it so far. There was an initial hiccup when I first received it, the handles were missing from the box. I called Lavario directly and they shipped the handles to me immediately. The process takes a little more effort than their videos suggest but the end result is great. The clothes finish very damp so you should factor that in. It took all day for my gym clothes to dry outside at 80 degrees low humidity.

Well constructed, easy to use hand washer
This little hand washer is very sturdy, simple to put together and use, and cleans and rinses clothes well. Easy to drain. I have found it great for small, delicate loads when I don't want to run the entire washing machine, and I am glad to have it on hand where I live (a rural area with frequent power outages.) I have spent some time overseas in the developing world, and wish I had had this then as well. You will still have to partially wring by hand or use a clothes wringer or spin dryer when finished washing. Very good price for a product made in the USA .

Very pleased with this purchase.
Excellent portable machine. It cleans clothes better than any portable machine I’ve used. It is very light weight and very easy to use. It is wonderful for delicates as well as for clothes that are used for heavy duty work. It was neatly packed and the service was wonderful. I used it and I am in love with it. Thinking of buying 2 more for my off grid camping home and abroad. It is excellent for city living. Thank you so much Lavario business, the portable machine is worth every penny. 🤗
