Loved it until it the front cracked days after 3 month warranty ended
Edit: After reading this review, the seller contacted us to let us know the product actually has a 2-year warranty. They immediately offered to replace the item and asked that we provide a photo so that they could send it to their development team in order to make the product better. We received a new air fryer within 4 days of our final communication with the seller! Because of the stellar customer service and quick responses, I would highly recommend this product. We use it at least 4 times a week for everything from reheating food to vegetables to apple chips. Once you start air frying, you'll be looking around your kitchen to see what else you can try! We were very disappointed with the crack in the outer plastic, but extremely impressed with the customer support. It's rare to get a responsive seller these days. Buy this fryer and you'll get just that! : ) So we loved this device, it cooks and reheats like a dream. It is big and very functional and easy to clean, but there is a bad side to this product. Its support and warranty period seem to be so short that if some flaw develops, you have no recourse. We have had the product since December (it is March as I write this) and the front plastic just cracked. Went to replace it and guess what? Out of warranty! Wait what? Less than 90 days you say? Yep, you better read the fine print from now on. Mind you, this has been hand washed only, carefully cleaned and cared for (because we loved the item). The plastic looks VERY thin and the cracked area is very visible, but we have no recourse since amazon allowed this company to have such a short return and warranty period. UNDER TWO MONTHS WARRANTY! Very disappointed and now I do not trust the PRIME products nearly as much and will be watching much more closely for these bad warranty time frames. This should have been a simple return/replace, but now it has blossomed into a lack of trust and now I wonder how many other products will have this onerous warranty such as this product that we were so happy to own for a short time.

My New Best Friend
I probably won't get elaborate on cooking recipes from a cookbook but this thing is great. So far I've made fried chicken legs (6 of them) and thighs (4 of them). I used the preset for chicken (360f) but the legs and thighs I buy are rather large so the default time for 25 minutes is not quite enough...I changed the time to 35 minutes and turn them after 17 minutes. I use buttermilk to get them moist and then I use flour, salt, black pepper and white pepper for my seasoned coating and sometimes add other things like cayenne pepper, garlic power, smoked paprika optionally. I bought one of those oil sprayers so I do spray the top side with olive oil before cooking and spray any spots that look like white flour before and after I turn them midway through. And don't even bother trying to eat them immediately after removing from the fryer. Let them rest for at least 10 to 15 minutes or else you'll burn your mouth...they're really hot. I must confess that air fried chicken is not as good as fried in oil, but there's no mess and that's good enough for me. I've also made 1/3rd lb hamburger patties at 400f for 10 minutes and they are perfectly cooked and tasty...better than stove top..you don't have to turn them. I season each side of the patty with a little salt and black pepper prior to cooking and sometimes I use only seasoned salt. I use 93/7 lean to fat content hamburger meat. I add cheese (deluxe white american) during the last minute for 30 seconds or so. I've also made (fresh not frozen) 1/2 inch french fries (russet) at 400f for 20 minutes. I read that you should boil the cut potatoes for 4 minutes first and then dry them, toss them in oil (I used olive oil) before placing them in the air fryer, so that's what I did. After the first 10 minutes of cooking give them a shake and add salt/seasoning if you like and then re-insert and cook for the remaining 10 minutes. They were perfect. It's so easy to operate and clean. No matter what I'm cooking, I always preheat the fryer for 3 minutes. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Cooked a whole chicken
I love it. I cooked a 5.5lb chicken in it. It came out so juicy. I’ve had an air fryer before so using this I’m not a stranger to. The bigger size definitely a plus. It is so quiet barely hear it running. Love it.

East to use and clean and food tastes great!
This air fryer deserves 5 stars. It is easy to use and easy to clean. No oil needed so no thick oil smell in the house afterwards. We have made chicken wings, fish and chips, chicken fingers, french fries and baked peppers. We cooked the chicken wings longer than instructed as we like them WELL done. They are not as crispy as real deep fried wings but they tasted great! We have not cooked anything that has a "batter" on it..not sure how that would work. Have only used flour/egg wash/panko for the coating. It really isn't a fryer as it "bakes" the food with hot air....just like an oven BUT it takes less time and you use NO OIL. So no oil hangover:) Wish the booklet that came with the fryer had a few more recipes but easy to find tons of recipes on line if needed. We love it and even gave away our traditional oil fryer. Tried to post some pictures but the attachment feature here did not work!

Easy to use and versatile!
I’ve been wanting an air fryer for awhile now but I didn’t feel they were versatile enough to justify the cost. When I saw that this air fryer could roast a whole chicken in 25 minutes, I bought it. When it arrived, I was somewhat surprised to see how big it was. It takes up a lot of counter space. But at least it will look nice on the counter. This air fryer is made of high quality materials and is well constructed. It’s very simple to use. Just press the thermometer button and turn knob to desired temperature and press the clock button then turn the knob to adjust cook time. It couldn’t get much easier than that. It’s great for air frying frozen food and potatoes. I’ve made fries, onion rings, breaded mushrooms, jalapeño poppers, egg rolls, and taquitos. Everything comes out just like it was deep fried. Because this air fryer acts like a convection oven, it also bakes and roasts food. The first thing I wanted to cook was a whole chicken. I was disappointed when I couldn’t find the recommended temperature and time for a whole chicken in the instruction manual or recipe book that came with it so I went with the time and temp for chicken breast. I tried cooking it at 360 for 25 minutes. That wasn’t enough time so I put it back in for another 20 minutes. It still hadn’t cooked through. I gave it another 20 minutes. Still not done. Because I needed to cook some roasted red potatoes (which came out perfect!) in the air fryer, I had to put the chicken in my conventional oven to finish cooking. I was disappointed that I had to do that because I only bought the air fryer because it said it could roast a chicken in 25 minutes. When I noticed that was the cooking time for a 2.2lb chicken, I went to the store to buy one that size. Unfortunately, it’s near impossible to find a chicken that small at my local supermarkets. The smallest I could find was 3.5lbs. The average size of a whole chicken is 3-4lbs. I roasted the second smaller chicken at 360 for 45 minutes. It was still a little pink so I gave it another 15 minutes. That was enough to cook it. It took a total of 50 minutes to cook a 3.5lb chicken. I would have liked it to cook faster than that but it came out better than it would have in my regular oven so it was worth the wait. The only thing besides it’s bulk that I don’t like about this fryer isn’t even an issue with the fryer itself but rather the recipe book it comes with. The recommended time/temp chart is messed up. The pictures don’t match the words. The icon for fish sticks is a steak and the icon for hamburgers is a chicken leg. That makes it untrustworthy to me so I had to spend extra time researching recommend cooking times and temps for a 5.5qt air fryer. Overall, this is a great appliance. If you know the correct time and temp for whatever you’re cooking, it will likely come out great with very little effort. The recipe book could stand to be edited and it does hog up a lot of counter space but other than that I’m very happy with it.

Yummy low-fat fried food
Absolutely love this airfryer. Just got it a few days ago. I have done chicken wings and breaded shrimp and both came out perfect. Easy to use, easy to clean. I will be using it a lot. I was on the fence about buying one for a long time. So glad I did.

Air fry or Convection Oven? Who cares it works!
I know people quibble over the air fry name. For the record it uses heat and air to cook... enough said on that topic. This unit is fairly easy to use and the learning curve is very small. For those that like to use and clean ovens do not buy this product... But if you are like me and hate to clean and use a whole oven for one or two people at a time (read lazy) then this might be a product you could use. I used this to make a steak... Set the unit for 400 degrees and 17 minutes. Steak was very good... Not perfect but surprisingly good. I also tried fresh french fries using the recommended setting. Better than expected. Just remember to shake the basket around the half way point to make sure the fries do not stick to each other. I am still experimenting with the unit and find that I have to customize the cooking times to suite my own taste but that is half the fun.. I am not out to win a cooking contest - I just want a device that will allow me to make a hot meal every once in awhile instead of eating out all the time and this one works for me. Clean up is a breeze all I do is fill the bottom with warm soapy water and let it soak for a bit then clean. Simple and quick clean up and dish washer safe.. (wish I had one) One final note if you want this to cook for a family (3 or more) then this may not be the device you need. This is a big unit but it still is great for one or two at max.. unless you get more than one then go for it... Forget the hype this is perfect for single people, college students or people with limited space and still want a hot meal.. Yea I know Microwaves but really who wants rubber chicken when you can air roast the bird. (Tastes great by the way) Just my two cents - Good luck
