I can see clearly!!
I went from the HD to the HDO and the difference was clear... Literally! The screen is twice as vivid as the HDs and 5 times more vivid as the teleporters I started with. The one draw back is the the FOV is slightly smaller then the HDs but personally I couldn't even see the entire screen and there was bluring on the edges so in my eyes worth the upgrade if you already have a module to setup with.

The best, so far, but still could be better
So, I've tried 6 different kinds of goggles at this point. 3 kinds of box goggles, 3 kinds of dual screen goggles. These, in many ways, are the best goggles I have ever tried. They are way beyond in some ways, but yet, I still wonder why the designers haven't yet really listened to the customers requests for a few major sticking points. First, the PROS: OLED screen! Wow, this screen is amazing. SUPER CLEAR. Great for freestyle when you're flying from bright light to dark shadows and through tree branches. You can see tiny details, far better than before, even on the same camera. If you get a modern camera, with HDR, you will love the combination. New Facepad. Finally, done with the cheap $2 foam. For the pricepoint, you think Fatshark would have done this on the very second set of goggles they ever released, but... well at least it's finally here. What a revolution ;) New battery with usb charging. This is actually a very cool feature and I wish all 2s batteries had this feature. The CONS: Same old strap. The straps are just kind of torturous if you want to fly all day and honestly, who doesn't? I got a 2 inch FatStrap and been completely in love with it, ever since. No Power button. Apparently this is just too much to ask the all mighty engineers over at Fatshark design department. It's ok guys, I know it might be a bit above your skills to design one in. Fortunately, this is an easy mod and many other battery packs and battery cables now have power switches. DVR. What can I say? It is just horrible. Get a different one and only use this if you really need it. Great to have as a backup when you lose your quad, but for showing off video, invest in something else. In conclusion, I do LOVE my HDO. They aren't perfect, the IPD is not wide enough to be perfect, but at least they are easy to take apart to diy things you actually want. It's just a shame that for $500, you don't get a few common sense features and upgrades. The hypetrain really showed it's silliness with this one. It's a great upgrade if you don't have HD3's or something else modern. I do look forward to seeing how the next generation of goggles makes improvements now that OLED screens will be the norm for high end goggles.

Best goggles ive ever flown!
I upgraded to these from HD3 and couldn't be happier. The colors and blacks are really nice and it makes it easier to see scraggle and thin objects like a pole. The refresh rate also seems higher as if the fast motions are more fluid and it seems easier to keep orientation. I was not bothered by the smaller fov at all. I think because the screen looks so much nicer and brighter its hard to notice. Everybody I let try them loves them. I bought a hotdogfpv strap, newbeedrone foam and did the switch/fan power mod to mine. FatShark really did a great job on these!

Best googles experience money can buy
I purchased my HDOs almost 4 moths ago and wanted to do a review to share my thoughts. My setup is HDOs with a True D Diversity receiver with the latest firmware to date (3.8). Coming from Fatshark HDV2s, I was worried about the smaller field of view. It is not a problem in the least bit. The clarity of the screens is the winner in my opinion. I fly after I work and put my kids to bed so its usually a low light situation and the HDOs beat anything I've tried hands down. In close proximity flying, like in trees and tight spaces, you can see the branches coming with enough time to avoid them. I found power lines to be a problem with my V2s but with the HDOs I see them coming with more than enough time to avoid them. Another nice upgrade was the USB port on the new battery. Considering I had to have two chargers to charge my Fatshark batteries and my lipos now I can just use my phone charger. It worked out great. Another thing was the faceplate that came with it. It's the same upgraded one I purchased for my V2s and I'm glad I don't need to buy another or borrow it from my V2s. I find image/video quality to be the most important thing for me in this hobby and the HDOs are the best right now. ORCA has recently gone dark and there are no plans, to my knowledge, of anything better coming anytime soon, I think purchasing these HDOs means I have the top of the line setup for the foreseeable future.
