The design is unattractive, but the function is excellent! Lightweight, customizable light beams, comfortable & the charge lasted for weeks. I’ve used them to read in bed at night, do crosswords on late night flights, used them to find the lip balm that rolled under the bed this morning. I love them!

I hesitated to order this nifty little gizmo because other reviewers said that the light was too bright and too directed. All I can say is that both characteristics were exactly what I needed. I like to knit at night, but my eyes are getting older and night knitting usually means dropped stitches and too much repair time. I used this light last night, and it was wonderful. I hung it around my neck and bent the extensions so that they shone directly on my handwork, and I could see everything as well as I can in daylight. It is lightweight and doesn't hang in my field of vision. I knitted for about an hour and a half, and it worked so well and unobtrusively that I forgot I was wearing it. I really like it, and if you do handwork at a time or place that is light poor, this may be a perfect solution for you.

Love this product and it has become part of my must have tools in my knitting bag. When at home I have an Ott floor lamp next to my chair for great light, but when meeting with my knitting group in the evening at a restaurant with dim light, this light has become my best friend. I don't feel it on my neck, very light weight; has light levels that allow me to work with even the darkest yarns and still be able to see my stitches; I can angle it into the perfect position. It arrived working without having to be charged. Love the idea of not needing batteries. Perfect gift for people who do handwork, be it knitting, crochehting, needlepoint, embroidery or even just hemming a skirt. Will be purchasing some for my knitting pals this holiday season. And as others have said, it's good for reading in bed.

I've had the neck hug light for 2 weeks and already consider it indispensable. I'm using it constantly for sewing and reading in bed. I'm light sensitive, and bright lights bother me, but because the neck hug light shines directly on the page, there's never any bothersome glare. I love the adjustability, both of the direction of the light on two sides and of the brightness. I love being able to recharge it. Other book lights wear down batteries quickly and are a real nuisance to change out. The ones that clip on the page of a book are a real nuisance too — especially for fast readers like me. The Neck Hug light is the most convenient gadget I've found. My only complaint is that the charging cord is so short that I can find only one outlet where I can prop it high enough to recharge.

I use this one to read in bed. I must warn you that even in the lowest setup, the brightness is high but I fixed that by putting magic tape on the LED and that decreased brightness. So more is better! I am pleased with this one so far. Battery life is terrific!

The family likes to watch tv in a darker room. Go figure. But I can't see my yarn when we do this. This light had fixed the issue. What's even better is that you can shape it so the lights go where you need it. I'm a busty girl, so I'm able to form the light to go over the mound. I don't need more headlights! I love that I can just plug it in when the light gets dim and probably within an hour is bright and shiny again.

This little light is amazing! I bought it for my elderly Mother who loves it. I borrowed it to take on a trip and found that I could read in the hotel room without disturbing my companion. Wish I would have had this years ago. The ability to charge it using a USB connection makes it absolutely perfect.

Best book light I've ever had. It fits comfortably behind my neck while I'm lying on my pillow, and I can adjust the light setting for close (my book), or far, and I can use just one or both. Love it.

I love it. I brought it camping and it hung from the top of my tent, hung around my neck to read. I like how it has different light levels depending on your needs. It was super bright and the dimmer one was great for reading. I also liked how I could turn on one side only if I didn’t need as much light. It was a little bigger than I thought but it could up smaller.

I am currently knitting something in black yarn, & as any experienced knitter knows that without good lighting it is extremely difficult to see your stitches. When I googled "lighting for knitters" this came up but I had my doubts because it only shows it as a book light. I scrolled through the reviews & found one from a knitter so I figured the worst that could happen is that it isn't adequate & I would return it. I can't begin to say how pleased I am with this light. Despite my 71 year old eyes and the black alpaca wool I'm working with I can see the stitches very well. I liked this so much that I bought it for another friend of mime who is also a knitter. Knowing her she'll probably use it to read in bed too!
