I bought and installed this device only two days ago and the result is impressive, so far; it is working as well as advertised. I am using this nicely well build device (metal case) to divide the optical audio signal from the Smart TV output to power a receiver (Pioneer VSX-1019AH) and a portable amplifier that I use for headphones (Sennheiser RS 195 RF) . With this configuration, I can use my receiver or my headphones or both at the same time, without the signal strength and quality being unaffected and without having to unplug any cables, which is what I wanted. Something additional to note is that the product is accompanied by short cable Toslink, also comes with a USB cable to power the unit, which I find very convenient. (there is not a power supply)

Excellent found no difference in sound or quality after installing this splitter, needed to hook up Bluetooth hearing aid box device and not effect the sound on the speakers this splitter works great.

Works exactly as advertised. I use it to connect audio from my TV via the one optical cable output to 2 audio devices with optical inputs (Amplifier and Wireless Headphones). Highly recommend this product for any simiar application,

Needed to feed two audio devices from my TV and started looking at passive splitters, then saw this little splitter. Works outstandingly well. Used some double sided tape to stick it to the back of my TV, powered it from one of the TV's USB jacks, and hooked up the optical cables. Pretty easy!

I use this to split my TV's optical output to feed my receiver and a portable DAC/amp that I use for headphones. With this setup, I can use my amp or receiver or both at the same time, without having to unplug any cables. It does what it's supposed to do, the signal strength and quality are unaffected, since it is essentially a repeater. Bonus - it comes with a short TOSLINK cable, so it saved me about $5. It also comes with a USB cable to power the unit, but no power supply. You'll either have to use a powered USB port on one of your devices (I use one on my TV that outputs 1A) or whatever cell phone charger you might have lying around.

I was originally using an unpowered two-way optical splitter but needed to split the signal three ways, so I decided to give this product a try. I have only been using it for a few weeks and have not run into any issues. It was easy to setup and works as expected. The only complaint I have is that the power LED is much too bright for a home theater environment, but after covering that with some electrical tape, it is no longer an issue, and I am very satisfied with the device.

I got this to split the digital optical output from my Apple TV to two separate amplifiers, one for my inside speakers and one for the outside speakers. It works perfectly with no loss in volume and no perceivable reduction in sound quality. I have been using it about a month now with no issues. If you need to split an optical output to multiple devices this unit is a good choice.

Wanted to have my decent sound bar with its wireless, sound adjustable subwoofer functioning with a set of new 5.1 speakers, no subwoofer included. So this splitter connects optical out from the smart TV to a new AV receiver and its speakers, AND the sound bar and its subwoofer. The solution is not perfect as I have not yet figured out how to split from eg the DVD player. Nevertheless the HD sound from Netflix eg is pretty darn good especially with sound effects selection on the receiver. Saved $$ by not buying a subwoofer.

Tried a non powered splitter and it worked for a while. Be careful using female to female connectors, as when you try to remove the Toslink I broke the splitter. This product is much better! I can run two sound outputs at the same time too! To my Amp and to my TV headphones. Just switch one off to hear the other one out.

Cost effective solution for converting one optical hookup into more. I have a HDTV and sound bar. Neither have a Bluetooth output. Using this device, I was able to convert audio to Bluetooth and use my wireless Bluetooth headphones. I did not even need to purchase the extra optical cable needed as it was included. The product meet my needs at a very reasonable cost. Sound quality was not affected by the splitter. I would highly recommend.
