Ok, they’re screws. But they’re short, pudgy screws. And I like them. I needed a punch to affix some sheets of plexiglass to some wooden frames, and these were just the right size to go through the plexiglass (predrilled, of course) and not through my frames (pine, not predrilled). These started relatively easily with a screwdriver (yeah, a power still would have worked better, but I was helping a bunch of Girl Scouts on an activity and they had to do the work) and hold nicely. But keep in mind, these things are short. You’re not securing a couple of two by fours together. Also, you can’t get this size at the local box box home improvement store. They just don’t carry them. Nope, nada, nothing.

#12 X 3" Stainless Pan Head Phillips Wood Screw, 18-8 (304) Stainless Steel Screws I bought 125 of these heavy duty screws and spray painted them with a Rustoleum metallic spray paint color to match our new shutters. Used 6 per shutter. Excellent results. Terrific screws! The #12 size uses a Phillips #3 bit. The shutters came with #10 galvanized screws, which would have eventually rusted.

I used these screws to hold down a "street light" style post lamp on my deck. the lamp is over 6 feet tall, and I needed sturdy fasteners that wouldn't rust. They worked perfectly.

100 screws? I didn't bother counting. There were enough to do the job, I needed 40. Still a lot of screws left in the bag. Love the rate feature "softness". Didn't know stainless steel screw should be soft. Only one star for softness cause they were all hard as steel. Found cheaper elsewhere after placing order by almost half the price.

Purchased 2 packages of these to secure pier pole caps on a pier. There were 100 pieces in each package (as described). The stainless quality seems to be good and I did not encounter any deformities in the screws. Worked perfectly for what I needed and I would definitely purchase again! Fair price as well!

I screwed these in so hard like wwwwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrttttt WRRRRTTT!! and the boards to the playset stayed in place! Good quality!

This isn't "soft" stainless, this is the proper material you'd expect for a fastener. I used these to assemble a outdoor table made from ipe wood. #3 phillips. Would buy again.

Screws this short are hard to find and I didn’t want to use washers to hang in closet lighting. Worked fine.

I’m not sure why Amazon ask about softness, that’s an absurd question. Good value and great screws.

Being stainless steel, these are perfect for applications where corrosion is a problem. Great value in the quantities supplied.
