Awesome freezer

I bought this elsewhere outside of Amazon, but love it so much, and had to write a review. My old small chest freezer (door on top) gave out on me. I could never locate anything because everything was piled on top of each other. So when I was in the market for a new deep freeze, I knew I wanted an upright version. This 8.5 cu ft is perfect size for my family of 5, and it's so nice that I can actually see everything in it now. On top of that, the seal is really strong on this, so I assume it's very energy efficient. You can actually hear it make a vaccuum seal when you close it...so much that if you try to open it again within about 1-2 minutes, it's very difficult until the temperature normalizes inside. Unfortunately, the only drawback is it's a manual defrost, but since the seal is so good, it doesn't have to be defrosted as often. (For example, I've had it 3 months now, and it's not even showing any signs of frost build up. My old horizontal chest freezer needed defrosting every 4-6 months.)
