Old battery wouldn't hold a charge for very long. Purchased this battery and haven't had anymore issues at all. Received in good time and was easy to use.

I am usually good at repairing stuff - I even replaced engine head of my car, replace memory, Hard disk in Laptop ... And I saw the videos for replacing battery and I knew it would be tough, but thought I will be able to do it anyway. But within 5 minutes I damaged the cables from the digitizer that go into the motherboard - so I ended up replacing my digitizer as well. Caution - while opening the front screen/digitizer - use extreme caution not to use the metal tool to pry open the screen - the metal goes inside and easily damages the flat cables of the digitizer. The battery is of good quality and the tools are really good.

The kit comes with everything needed to replace the battery other than a heat gun. The first one I got - the tools worked great but after installing the battery the iPad was acting up and restarting every couple min. It was also not charging on the new battery. My deduction was the battery was under voltage and might have been damaged at some point in time (could have been shipping) I contacted GoodFixer (the seller) and informed them of the issue. They immediately sent a replacement battery after some mild questions. I felt the great customer service is worth the five star review.

Lucked out: oem battery ballooned and pushed the screen out from the casing so I didn't have to do the full heat gun around the digitizer step. Tried to use a hair dryer to loosen the battery but ended up using the included plastic scraper (I think the hair dryer actually helped a bit). Be careful, the battery connector tab has a small loop that holds onto a metallic post: I ripped this off of the old battery during removal. The pcb board around the battery connector needs to be raised to remove the old battery and also to install the new battery. Watch a few YT videos and you'll see why. Product doesn't include new glue strips so don't remove the old glue around the casing and digitizer. Used hair dryer on the old glue to loosen them up and smashed the pieces back together. So far so good and I'm typing this review on the iPad that I fixed. Battery life seems decent, actually pretty good for the price point. I don't recommend to people who've never taken apart glued mobile devices before. For the rest of us? Go ahead and get it.

This is the third replacement battery I have purchased from different suppliers for my I pad. The first didn't last a day, the second lasted about a week. This one has been installed for 6 weeks and so far each charge has lasted 2 weeks. Finally a replacement that seems to work like the original. The kit that came with it makes the change easy.

As you can see from the images, the supplied tools made quick work of removing the existing battery and replacing with this battery. If you've never replaced an iPad battery before (this was my first time), it's a bit of a process and you'll need either a heat gun or a hairdryer. Definitely a bit more difficult than swapping an iPhone battery. As is the case with any replacement battery, occasionally the cell is faulty. I've had this same issue from an expensive iFixIt battery, so it certainly can happen to anyone. I alerted the seller to the issue and they were extremely responsive in replacing the faulty battery. The replacement battery was in my hands maybe 2 days after initially raising the issue. The seller couldn't have handled the issue any better! The replacement battery worked perfectly and now my iPad is as good as new! I will certainly buy from this seller in the future and would highly recommend this product and this seller to anyone.

I have a 2nd generation iPad that have been using for a long time, and it can't be power on. I guess the iPad's battery is defective because it has been used for a long time. After replacing the battery, the iPad can be turned on and the life is about 5 days, very happy, the tools in the box are very useful. In addition, when disassembling the touch glass, it is necessary to use a hair dryer or a heat gun to heat the frame, otherwise it is difficult to remove the screen, which is a important step.

Once installed, the battery works great, long life and OEM performance. Of course, the trick is getting it installed. You can find YouTube videos on how to proceed. I tried to leave the digitizer connected when replacing the battery, bad move, learn from my mistake and disconnect the ribbon cables that are paper thin and really can’t handle any stress. You can remove the old and install the new battery while leaving the main board in place. You just have to do some creative prying to get the battery over the pin on the back panel and under the main board. You should be comfortable with small electronics repair to do this yourself.

Replaced a battery in a series 1 watch that had swollen and popped the watch face completely off the watch. I found a YouTube video to walk me through the process. I successfully changed the battery, my concern is how long the adhesive will hold. It’s been a week since I replaced the battery and everything is holding fine. This kit had everything I needed to change it out, except instructions. Printed instructions would not have helped me- the video I found was perfect. It was well priced, came in a nice box I can keep the tools in, and arrived quickly! I was very glad it came with two adhesives- one was wasted learning how to install it. Would definitely buy again, hoping I don’t have to!

Product was exactly as described and although I was concerned that installing might be a significant challenge, I found that after careful review of YouTube video instruction, the process was relatively straightforward. I was delighted when my iPad came ‘back to life’ after the installation was complete but was concerned that on attaching to a charging cable, the battery indicator did not register that the unit was charging. I wrote an email to the manufacturer of the battery and they responded with helpful guidance immeddiaty (late on a Saturday afternoon) and indicated that should I continue to have problems they would be happy to replace the battery with a new one. Delighted with product (so far), ease of installation and unexpectedly great customer service!
