So easy to set up

I've been attempting to set up a smart home with products compatible to Amazon echo and dot. I am pretty clueless with this stuff, and some of the products I have bought have proven a little taxing to link up. However, this was not the case with this outdoor smart plug. It was an effortless set up, and works flawlessly. As I only have the one outlet outside (and a whole bunch of things that require electrical - fountains, string lights, tree lights, garden lights, etc.) it is great having the 3 outlets. What's even better is being able to control them individually with just my voice. Pretty amazing. As a bonus, the outlet is completely exposed to weather, and here in Texas we have had nothing but rain since I ordered this outlet. The excessive water has never once tripped the outlet, or caused any problems. I am extremely impressed with this product!

Very easy to setup, a big help for automation and remote control

I bought this smart power plugs to control the lights in the patio and garden. This smart plug device is very easy to set up. The outlets are controlled via Smart Life app. Just plug in and power it on, the outlets are not on yet at this point. You will need to set it up to communicate with the app via the local WiFi network. Hold power button until the power light blinking, follow the instruction to log in Smart Life and add the outlets. The process will take about 30 seconds to recognize and add the new device. After successfully connected, it will ask to upgrade firmware, allow it to do so to update to the latest software. By default, all 3 plugs are turned off, use app to turn them on accordingly. The whole process takes about 5 minutes. The outlets are responsive and work very well for what I need. This smart plug device is definitely a big help for me.

Good, solid high power switch

I needed a switch capable of running on the SmartLife app and handling a 1500W heater so I bought this one and it works great. Plus it has 3 independently controlled outlets each technically capable of handling a 1500W draw (although in reality you would not do this as most household sockets are only 1800W). But still nice that any one can handle it. It was easy to setup and easy to name the three outlets. I might have missed it but it would be nice if the outlets were labeled. It took trial and error to see which as 1 and which was 3. Not hard but it would have been nice for the numbers to be embossed on the outer cover. (future enhancement request)

I was unsure at first this product would like it said. But once I plugged it in and connected to it using my phone, everything fell into place. It's simple to use and works great! Exactly what I wanted.

Exactly what I was looking for

You use the Smart Life app to control these. It took me a bit to figure out which app they wanted me to use. It works phenomenal and I can indivually turn each outlet on or off, turn them all on/off, or set up schedules. I used these to control my outdoor lighting because I didn’t want to leave them on 24/7 and I really hated having to unplug them and just leave the plug dangling when they weren’t in use. This lets me keep my outdoor lighting installed and I turn them all on at sunset and off four hours later, automatically. I initially bought one for my outdoor lights and they worked so well that now I have two more for inside. I keep the tv plugged into it and use the 30 minute timer so the whole tv turns off right at 30 minutes and I don’t have to worry about the kids getting too much screen time or losing track of time. I’m excited to use these with our holiday lights too; it’s way better that trying to keep track of a remote like we used to do. Setup took and minute and it only took a second to share access with my husband. I highly recommend these.

Required a change in my Arris Comcast/Xfinity dual band gateway setup

I have an Arris dual band gateway from Comcast/Xfinity. It came set up with the same name on both bands. I had to separate the bands because your plug--as advertised--works only with 2.4Ghz. I tried to use Comcast's app--xFi--and follow their directions but got nowhere. Finally, I opened the gateway by entering 10.0.0.1 in a browser. That brings up the gateway interface. I found to my chagrin that it was still the default username and password--admin/password. Change those. Then go to Connection/WIFI. Give the 2.4Ghz band a different name than the 5Ghz. I just added 2.4 to mine. You can leave the password the same for both. Then Save & back out. When you set up the plug with Smart Life, choose the 2.4 band. Then follow the rest of the directions. Works great. You can tell Alexa to turn on or off each outlet separately.

Works like a charm

I needed an outdoor outlet with 3 switches and found this one online. Since it was a smart plug, which allows me to control via the internet, it definitely got me intrigued especially useful when traveling. The setup we challenging since the manual was not well written and formated. It took me a while to understand what I was doing wrong. Eventually, when I got it setup, it worked like a charm. I did look at some youtube videos before I figured out what I needed to do.
