Works great, the gauge automatically comes on when it senses pressure and shuts off automatically. Surprised how nice it seemed for the cost, time will tell if it lasts. I aired my tires all up to 40 psi according to this gauge. I had just repaired one tire, and I double checked it in the morning to make sure it wasn't leaking... and the gauge I checked with said it was 30 psi! I couldn't believe it dropped so much, so just to be safe, I pulled this back out and it said 40 psi. I couldn't believe the calibration was that far off... I checked the tire pressure using the vehicle TPMS and guess what... this device was bang on, they were all 40 psi. This unintentionally diagnosed a different pressure gauge that was off by almost 10 psi.

I have a digital tire gauge that also measures in 0.1 PSI increments and the AstroAi tire inflator and my other digital tire gauge always measure to within 0.3 PSI of each other. No way to know which one is actually correct but at this level, who cares! The display is beautiful and easy to read. I expected the body (from the pictures) of the inflator to be a plastic material but it's actually cast aluminum. Super sturdy. Only issue I've had at all is the air chuck is difficult to attach to a valve stem without it leaking. If I physically hold it, I can get it to not leak. This is a little bit of a pain but not too bad as the inflator itself is extremely to use with one hand, both inflating and releasing pressure. Other than for this issue I would have given it 5 stars. UPDATE: I contacted the seller about the leaking air chuck and they sent me a new one which works perfectly! This is a wonderful piece of equipment and the seller is VERY responsive. Don't hesitate to buy from them. Now completely rated at 5 stars.

UPDATE: Works well on my 4Runner and Volt, not so well on my 911. You have to really push in to get a seal to pump air in. I would still buy one, but...... For 30 years I have been checking the tire pressure every Sunday in my vehicles. This involved applying the tire pressure gauge (which was hit or miss to get the pressure), adding air, checking the pressure, letting air out. This took several minutes each time. So I decided to give this gauge a try. Mainly because it was so hard for a few members of my family to even take a tire pressure with the old gauge. Set up and instructions on this gauge were great. Honestly, it took me about 3 minutes to check, add/remove air from 4 cars. Amazing easy and quick. If you maintain your investment in your tires like I do, this is a good gauge for you.

10/30/2018 - In todays mail I received a replacement AstroAI Digital Tire Inflator. Outstanding customer service! The readout is VERY easy to and the pressure reading is accurate as well. 10/29/2018 - I have already been connected by AstroAI Customer Support and changing my review to 3 and will go 5 when I receive the warranty replacement. Awesome support!! 10/28/2018 - When installing the 1/4" NPT Steel Fitting I was holding the housing in one hand and tightening the air hose fitting with a wrench in the other, I ended up with a split case, which now I have a constant air leak. I didn't feel as it was over torque because I was holding the case in my hand. Otherwise this seems to be an awesome tire inflator. Hopefully I can get the case replaced....

This item does work, quality is not great. The trigger housing is a very thin casting. The air chuck end will not stay sealed so it leaks. I have to hold it on the valve so it does not leak. The gauge seems to work. Mine came with the coupler installed and I'm not touching it till it leaks. I can see why the casting is cracking when people tighten the coupler. Like I said the casting is very thin! 18 Apr 2019 I have raised my rating to a 5, mainly because of the companies customer service. They reached out to me and offered a refund, plus a new inflator, and I could keep the one I have. I accepted their offer and they have refunded me and I received the new inflator today. I have not tried it yet to see how well it is going to work but it has been a win win with this seller.

i got this tire inflator to save time on filling air in the tires of two vehicles that i check every month or so for proper psi. i was excited to get it, but when i first purchased it, it would not make a seal on any of my tires and i lost tons of air just try to get it to work. i had to go back to my old method of filling tires. i contacted astroal and they got back to me very fast and sent me out a new chuck. i just tried the inflators today and it worked like a charm. the price on this unit is reasonable, other than that one fluke it is well made. customer service is spot on and this will save you a ton of time.

Great tire pressure gauge. I use a quick disconnect on my air hose at home making this very easy to swap out. This gauge is great since you can lock it on your valve and inflate whatever you are trying to use it on all the while being able to check what the pressure is on the lighted gauge. If you happen to add a little too much, it is just a matter of pushing the deflator button a couple of seconds to let the excess out...still all the while having it attached to the valve and not having to remove it. I like the trigger handle, it just feels right in you hand and makes the gauge at just the right angle to see it. This is really made to be used in a mechanic or home situation where you can attach it to an air compressor, it will work as a stand alone tire pressure gauge but is a little large to put in your glovebox for storage. If you have an air compressor already though this is a must buy accessory that you will really be glad you have. Very Dependable and Accurate!!

Worked well... Note: if the air release button pops of you just need to re-seat the o-ring and it will fix the problem. The o-ring on mine came off and was laying inside the cavity. It's pretty small...easy to miss it.

Screen is surprisingly bright, fitting that grabs the valve stem holds well w/o leaking, lever action to fill has a nice amount of tension and while the brass-bleed-valve-push-button wobbles a bit, it works fine. Batteries are cheap but hey, it came with them. The battery cover door has that brittle plastic feel (definitely not glass fiber reinforced) and it would break, but it's well protected by the rubber gauge shroud. Body is aluminum with a mat finish that provides some hand friction. Also comes with a small roll of teflon tape, 4 valve stem caps, and an interesting little 4-way shrader valve tool to toss in a drawer. Very thoughtful. Display reads in 1/10 pounds and seemed accurate because it would repeat the same reading after removing and replacing it- which you can do without losing any appreciable amount of air. Read 1/2 lb higher than my other gauge, but my other gauge only reads in 1/2 lb increments and was nothing special to begin with- it's probably off. Good stuff overall.

This is a nice addition to my garage. Really nice to have a digital pressure gauge tied into the inflator. I have been able to quickly and accurately fill tires with the setup and have zero issues. Will see how it survives in the long run but my initial impressions are very positive. With multiple cars in the garage I am checking and filling tires on a regular basis so will update my review in a couple of months after I get some more use out of the gauge/inflator. Update ~30 days of use: So far so good, inflator is working great. Noticed a couple of things, the rubber hose between the nozzle and the gauge expands with pressure, noticeably so. It has not leaked but gives me pause that much flex will be its undoing over the long haul. Otherwise love the unit, I did figure out that it turns on/off automatically no need to manually power on/off. The pressure reducer button is very handy if you overfill a tire, makes it very easy to get pressure exact. Also I compared to other tire gauges in my garage and found this one to be as accurate. Still happy overall and would recommend.
