This is actually an updated review. I originally didn't like this item. Now we use it all of the time. We dont ever use a stroller. We use it at least 1 to 3 times every week and the thing has to have a couple of hundred miles on it... at least. And we have had zero mechanical issues with it. We take it to the zoo, the children's museum, and all of the time to the park. The handle is extendable, but there is a probably an inch or so of rotational play, so it can feel a little clunky. You might have a hard time power walking with it. He can steer it and has become quite adept at pushing the peddles and steering. It's a great first tricycle, because you have a handle on it so he can't get away. The all terrain tires are a must have. We can go off of the sidewalk or, sometimes, into the mud on purpose. The shade is pretty cool but maybe not big enough. The same thing with the drink tray. We don't use that anymore because he likes to hop on and off when we go to fun places and it's easier just to leave it off and carry his goodies in my backpack or in the storage trunk. Basically I am encouraging you to consider this. I have many parents ask me where I got it and show a lot of interest in getting one for their children. Sometimes I let their kids get on it, which is not something my little guy cares for. It doesn't have a brake but it does have a "neutral" position for him to set his feet on the peddles when he is not peddling. He loves it, my wife and I love it, and he often asks if we can go for a "tricycle hike." But it might take some getting used to. We moved from a stroller to this and maybe he was a little too small and uncoordinated at that time. It can be used instead of a stroller for a young toddler, but he or she might steer you in unexpected directions. That's easily overcome but takes some accommodating. Instead of making a kid walk a long way when the toddler gets older, or pushing an active little one in a stroller, this is an option we prefer. We gave our stroller away last summer.

We got this when our son was 10 months old- at the time I wish it had a place for him to put his feet since he couldn’t reach the pedals. Other brands had this but didn’t have the higher quality tires like this one does. Our little one is now 16 months and can reach the pedals or rest his feet on the red part covering the front tire. It’s easy to steer, and we can go through any terrain- mulch, soggy wet grass, dry grass, pavement, sidewalks. It’s great! The cup holder is a nice feature- it fits most sippy cups and the holder on the back is great to throw in a hat, or cell phone. The height is good for my 6’0 tall husband to steer without having to hunch over. I would buy this again and am happy with my purchase.

I bought this for my daughter who is 16 months. She loves it. She makes me push her around in it everywhere we go. I had to move it out of the house because she can crawl up into it and then yells at me to push her. If I don't, she gets out and pushes it herself. She pushes it into furniture and runs over the dog so now I just keep it in the car. We use it when we go to the mall, for walks, or anywhere you would normally use a stroller. My daughter likes to be able to sit upright and see all around her so this is perfect. I do think my husband put it together wrong though because she's not supposed to be able to steer it and she does. I have to fight with her over it sometimes and then we usually run into something. Like displays at the store. So make sure you or your husband put it together correctly.

Probably the best toy out there! My son instantly figured out to put his feet on the pedals, and is already trying to pedal himself. He was a little too tall for the umbrella part to work for him. I love how adjustable the seat is, and that I can buckle him in. If you have a problem with the pedals hitting your child's legs, it's super easy to move the seat back far enough that it's not an issue. The handle is great and well made, and I love the little storage box. It was super easy and even fun to put together. I pretty much had to fight off my husband for toy-putting-together-er privileges. Every time my son sees it outside, he wants to play on it.

Always fans of Radio Flyer, we bought this trike for our granddaughter for Christmas when she was seven months old. It was and continues to be a huge hit. Choosing the all terrain wheels feature that differentiates it from other models was wise for us as we can take her on rough sidewalks and grassy and hilly areas. We have not turned it into a trike just yet but that won't be long now. It fits easily in the back of the SUV and while not as sporty as a jogging stroller for long jaunts, it is great for every type of excursion where once you are at the destination, the child can be moved about. Aside from its utility, the Stoll N Trike is just so cute that our granddaughter gets so much positive attention wherever we go.

We purchased the all-terrain trike and it's awesome. Bike is very sturdy, tires are rubber and roll smoothly. It maneuvers very well and rides smooth when pushing. The push bar is adjustable, I thought the push bar might be too low from what some of the other reviewers posted but I'm 6'3 and it's comfortable for me. Our 2 yr old daughter loves it but her feet don't stay on the pedals and her feet drag which is a negative. I think she just needs some practice to get the hang of it, I purchased some velcro straps to put on the pedals and around her feet which should help. All in all it's a great bike I think any 2+ toddler would love.

Bought this for my one year old grandson, the one thing to watch for is get a small block of wood when putting the Tires and tire rod thru rear axle to snap the cap on. You will need to be a bit handy with a screwdriver also. The results are great I like the all terrain tires and the Parental steering is perfect. I Took my Grandson for a very long walk with it went flawless. I have three more Grandchildren who will be getting these also. Thank you for taking the time to package this Bike so well, Nothing worse than getting towards the end of assembly and a cotter pin is missing. Pat From New Jersey

So far so good a month in w my 2 year old...he loves his bicycle...only had a chance to take it outside n off road once so far bc of weather but looks like it should hold up. update: so not even six months later and the pedals are not working properly. will attempt to fix. and update post. the push bar for the stroller is very loose and walking can be very difficult if your little is moving the handle bars on his own as you try to steer. getting frustrated with the bike already. will update after some tinkering.

My 2 year old toddler LOVES this trike. Can't get enough of it. First ride she wouldn't stop saying "thanks dad!" The pneumatic tires are a MUST, and really make for a smooth ride. Can't wait to be able to take the parent handles off and let her have at it. For now, she can't quite reach the pedals completely to really push it.

Trike is as described. Problem did occur with wheels when assembling. The directions are pictures only, so based on first picture we had the wheel on correctly. It looked different in the second picture so we turned wheel around and that was wrong. Once assembled there is no saving the locking cap on wheel. We had to go to you tube to figure out how to get it off. This must happen to others because there was one extra in our pack. We could have used some written directions.
