I was tired to gathering all my items after a shopping trip. So I decided to get a trunk organizer. This one is amazing. It is very sturdy and well made, tons of room, and you can collapse completely or made to be half the size as you prefer. I also really like that it has a secure lid. Now I am so happy when opening my trunk and no more finding items spread all over my car trunk area. Don’t hesitate to buy this product. I guarantee you will love it.

everything I expected and a bit more

Overall, it seems very good. Normally I don't write positive reviews since I'm not getting compensation but since I bought two different styles of organizers at the same time, I thought I would write down a comparison just in case I get robbed again by some lowlife and then have to repurchase. Why two bags? This one is primarily for the front seat and the other cheaper bag is for the back. pros - don't know what is underneath the fabric but it doesn't feel like cardboard. It flexes but it's also very stiff. Over this, most of the bag sections seem to be covered with a thin foam padding. It makes the bag look very sturdy but it's just for show. Padding the sides has no utility that I can see. - the canvas fabric is all around the container, including the bottom. The other cheaper container I bought has vinyl on the bottom. Does it make a difference? Probably not, unless you're taking this camping where there's an easier chance to tear it on things underneath. - like every other type organizer you have two panels that fold down to give it some shape and secure the bottom. The bag looks very sturdy but I don't know if I'll use this much to haul 60lbs of groceries because nothing seems to be doubled stitched, including the handles. If it was double stitched, it would probably cost more though. Also, this organizer is fairly heavy so for regular grocery hauling, I'll just stick to my plastic, collapsible crate. - metal handles. Much nicer to manage than straps. Again, though, they are not double stitched. - the lid is substantial and it folds in half which has an added benefit. If you collapse one side of the bag (e.g. for use in the front seat), you can use the lid to either line the bottom or use it to cover whatever you have in the bag, or use it to cover and separate items. e.g. I normally have a bunch of stuff in the front seat that I've thrown into the bag, then I insert the lid over those and use the top part for things like my hoodie, vest, etc. - the center divider comes out so if necessary, you can store items that might need the entire length of the bag. The other organizer I bought, and I suspect most, doesn't have this feature. - lid. This is mainly why I chose this bag over others. The lid velcros to both sides of the bag and the velcro runs the entire length of the bag and so the lid fits pretty securely. I gave this 5 stars because overall I like the look and function and it's pretty much what I expected however I do have some 'cons'. cons - velcro on the bottom. I guess for non-slip reasons but I'm not a fan of using velcro like this because it can tear up seat cloth and auto carpets. - no straps. This has buckles for collapsing the bag but there are no straps included for securing it to a seat or anything. - there are two subdividers. One is just a piece of cloth with velcro ends. It will work but I would have preferred something sturdier and I'm a bit surprised. They added padding to all the sides of the bag though it has no utility but then the divider is just a piece of cloth??? - not impressed with the mesh pockets. I was looking for pockets that would hold things like my water bottle or travel cup that won't fit in the cup holders. They work for that but they're not loose enough for when you're driving. I can't both hands off the wheel to put a water bottle in the pocket. I can use the other cloth pockets but just barely. - whatever they treated the fabric with, it has a strong odor. I suggest that you open the shipping package outdoors and let it air out for awhile before using. This did not come with a material sheet either so there's no explanation of what chemicals they used on the fabric. - buckles. This bag comes with buckles that I guess are supposed to keep one or both sides collapsed when you fold it. Unfortunately, this design doesn't completely collapse and hold the sides together. Velcro strips inside the bag would do a better job keeping the sides collapsed.

This really fit the bill.

I already had a "trunk organizer" but the design of it did not actually help the situation. In fact it contributed to the problem. Cables, rags, scrapers - you know what I mean - just spilling out all over the place because the organizer had no structure. Enter the Knodel Sturdy Car Trunk Organizer and voila! The sides, while not rigid are definable. Plenty of little pockets (for my needs) and the best of all (and the reason that I bought it) is the top. Now my trunk doesn't look like bomb went off AND there is a little bit of velcro on the bottom to keep the whole thing from tossing around back there. Bonus. I just got it, so cannot speak to wear and tear - but for design it gets all my votes and would highly recommend.

VERY NICE!

Very nicely constructed, heavy duty. It has non-skid bottom, not the Velcro stuff that will ruin your trunk carpet over time. It is a little more than the others, but the design / construction make it well worth it. After buying this, I would never buy a cheaper one. If I have a need to buy another one, this will be the one!

High quality, sturdy and functional

This trunk organizer is the best I bought so far! It’s super strong and awesome with lots of storage. 3 compartments and 2 dividers help everything to stay organized. Side pockets are big enough to hold heavy tools. And the nonslip bottom keeps it in place. In addition, it’s easy to assemble and it folds flat when not in use. The quality is beyond my expectation; I would not hesitate to buy another.

2 Fit in Highlander!

After a lot of research and one product return, I finally found the perfect organizer for the back of my 2018 Toyota Highlander. Two of these very sturdy organizers fit perfectly in the back of my vehicle when third row seats are up and slide easily forward when third row seats are down. I also appreciate that they have covers/lids so I can pack other objects on top and/or know my items are private/secure. If you have a Highlander or comparable sized SUV, I highly suggest purchasing this item. It’s ease of use gets my family where we need to go, with what we need, quickly and with ease.

Great quality-a must have!

Really nice, great quality trunk organizer! This is a very sturdy organizer that is the perfect size. I have mine fully open and have a small tire pump, battery, 3 blankets and reusable bags in...with room to spare. I love the Lid, I would defiantly place things on top of it and it wouldn’t be an issue. I wish I had it sooner. I have a 2017 Toyota 4Runner

Very Useful & Versatile for My Needs

This organizer is useful for so many things and is very good quality. I bought it to put in the back of a new SUV. It’s big enough to hold several items: blanket, jackets, shoes, umbrella, etc. I like that it has removable compartments. What I like the best is that it has a lid, although you don't have to use the lid. Side pockets are handy too. It's the perfect size to hold many things but not so big that it takes up all the space in the back.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this organizer. It was more sturdy or rigid than I expected. And I like that the top lid is easily placed on and off with Velcro. I believe it could get a few years use before replacement. It’s definitely a good purchase, highly recommend!

Outstanding and extremely well made!

If I could give it 6 stars I would. I finally got what I was looking for for a very long time. This trunk organizer is outstanding! It's very sturdy with plenty of room in the 2 sections and it has plenty of side pockets. In addition, it has a very sturdy top that attaches with velcro. The space in the main compartments is nice and deep. The metal handles are very solid and well attached. The entire unit is easily collapsile and takes very little space. I'm positive whoever buys this unit will not be disappointed!
