• 3D printer filament with 1.75 mm diameter + / - .05 mm; designed to fit most common 3D printers (check spool size for compatibility); Blue; 1 kg spool
  • Made of commonly used ABS, a strong thermoplastic material—great for creating durable items that require a higher resistance to heat
  • Spool’s built-in gauge shows percentage of material remaining and approximate length remaining
  • Engineered to reduce jamming; resealable storage bag included to protect filament between use
  • Measures 9.2 by 8.3 by 3 inches (LxWxH); weighs 2.2 pounds; backed by an AmazonBasics 1-year limited warranty

This ABS prints very well and has produced some fantastic prints for me. It seems very low-hassle, with minimal warping (for abs) and good bed adhesion with pva glue stick. I printed these models in an enclosure with the print cooling fan on a very low setting after layer 3. There is some slight but noticeable inconsistency in the color, like it should have been mixed for just a bit longer, but that is acceptable to me at this price point.

You should understand what filament materials are available before buying more than one spool to learn how to use your 3D printer. There is good coverage of this at: https://all3dp.com/1/3d-printer-filament-types-3d-printing-3d-filament/ . ABS gives off an odor while printing but is a more durable choice than PLA. Each filament type will need a specific temperature so only buy filaments you know your 3D printer has a hot enough tip to print with. Other than that buy which colors appeal to you or are needed for what you are trying to use the end product for. Keep in mind good ventilation will make even a smelly to print filament like ABS not an odor bother.

This filament is top quality. Works well on my DaVinci Pro 1.0. Just raise temp to 240 Deg. Will definitely buy again...when the gray is back in stock.

ABS gets a bad rap for warping, but is a really versatile filament when used correctly. I am an ABS fanatic, but i also have a temp controlled case and a temp controlled Acetone case.I have ran so many different brands through my machine and i only like a select few. This stuff prints super smooth, bridges surprisingly well for ABS and has little warp (for ABS). Also the Windows on the side of the spool are super useful, as well as having plenty of slots for securing filament when not in use.

Great filament at a great price. I’d love to see more variety of colors and a Nylon filament as well. Amazon might be my new favorite brand of filament.

This was the first spool of ABS that I have ever tried, and it really printed well. Much better than I expected, since I'd heard horror stories about how hard ABS is to print reliably. Loaded the filament, and set the extruder temperature to 250 in Cura with 50% fan, and it printed right off the bat. A little stringing, but nothing terrible. I'd recommend this filament, at least in the white color I tried!

I've been using Amazon Basics filament for about 6 months now, and every time I have had zero issues. This filament does seem to have adhesion qualities that make it adhere to much at times. If you have a buildtak style surface, you may have some headaches. I've switched to glass and mamorubot print surfaces, so it doesn't become an issue for me any more. The only issue I can think of is that Amazon no longer sells the 5 roll bundles. I bought several when they did, and it was a killer deal at $60 (each roll comes to $12).

This is a great budget filament, it's probably one of the first filaments that I've used which printed exactly as described in the other reviews and at the recommended specs on the spool. The pictures are of the arms for my photography drone printed at a .3 layer height and 30% infill and even with the taller layer height I still got near perfect detail. I think one of the best reasons to buy this filament is that they include a filament gauge and ziplock bag, something many more expensive spool are lacking. The only downside is the black seems a little dull and I wish it was a tad glossier like the 3D Solutech Black. However the 3D Solutech Black ABS did not print at all so I will definitely buy this filament again. Ext Temp: 245C Bed Temp: 85C Enclosure Temp: 40-50C Extrusion Multiplier: .92 Bed Material: Glass Bed Adhesion: Hair Spray

I’ve decided to find an alternative for hatchbox because they can’t seem to keep their stock up. I’ve printed a few parts and so far so good. I might even say the results are better than hatchbox but just by a bit. I’ve been FDM printing for over 15 years so I know what I’m talking about, it’s good.

Got this filament to try on my XYZ da Vinci 1.0a printer. Prints well at 240 degrees (which the da Vinci 1.0a prints when optimizing for larger prints), prints look as good or better than stock filament.
