Best Shave Product I Have Ever Used!

For the last year I have been shaving exclusively with safety razors, and as a bald man in the military, I have a lot of surface area to shave. This shave butter is by far the best shave butter/gel/foam/etc I have experimented with during that time. About a nickel-sized amount on your hand will be enough for your whole face. It applies as a thin, slick, film on your skin. If your face starts to dry a bit during the shave, splash a little more water on and it will go right back to working like a charm. What I love most is that it smells and feels amazing. Any residue I have left over from my shave is simply rubbed into my skin as a fantastic smelling moisturizer. I love this stuff and will never go back to foams that dry your face and gels that don’t provide adequate protection while shaving.

I ALWAYS get razor burn. NOT WITH THIS!!

As a redhead with EXTREMELY sensitive skin (Sun Burn in less than an hour. Razor Burn EVERY TIME I shave), this stuff works wonders! I no longer fear shaving! I used to have to wake up as early as possible to hopefully let the razor burn die down before going out in public looking like an acne covered teenager. I can now shave right before I go out somewhere without worry. I think it does a pretty good job moisturizing, but I use aftershave moisturizer anyway, so not really sure about that. Smells pretty good. Not too perfume like, and not like hand lotion. Right in the middle. Goes away pretty fast too, so nothing of concern there. SO GLAD I found this stuff. Much cheaper than the overpriced shave butter I was trying before from the local drug store! My wallet and my neck are happy I found this!

Suuuuuper smooth

I bought this when I started shaving my head and it is just absolutely wonderful for that. I only shave part of my beard, so it's less good for that, but I believe would be perfect if you shave your face clean. I was apprehensive about the "shave butter" thing but it really does feel like you're all buttered up with this stuff (in a good way I swear) and your skin will love it. Highly recommended for any part of your body you're going to shave clean.

Moisturizing clean shave

I was looking for an inexpensive shave butter for my husband when I stumbled upon this product. I thought we’d give it a try, since it was inexpensive and it looked like it ingredients that would moisturize. So far he’s been very happy with it. It has a nice coconut smell too- nothing overpowering. We will definitely be buying this again.

my husband loves this stuff

I'm writing based on my husband's opinion, but he's been using this for over a year and is the only shave product he uses anymore.

No more razor rash

I do not like shaving and sometimes I will go weeks between shaves. With the shave gels and creams that I used in the past I would end up with red blotchy spots around my lips after shaving. This shave butter has been great. There are no longer red splotches all over my face once I done shaving. It smells good too.

The solution for my sensitive skin

I have sensitive skin that is susceptible to razor burn. After using the same name brand sensitive skin shave gel for years I decided to try something new. Did some research online and decided I’d give Van Der Hagen Shave Butter a try. After just a few shaves I knew I wouldn’t be going back to my name brand shave gel. Van Der Hagen’s left my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized post-shave. The cocoa butter in it also smells great too.
