Gorgeous Sound, Flawless, ARC support
Beautiful sound. The kind of quality you'd expect from Yamaha. Great audio range, adequate bass. ARC support is flawless with my new Sony X900E (TV remote controls sound bar, regardless of source). Love the "always on" Bluetooth. Easily connect/disconnect without having to walk to the unit to turn it on/off. Almost bought the Yas-107 but glad I waited for this puppy.

Great for the price
Great for the price. We need the Yamaha HT Controller App to be updated to work with it though. My recommendation would be to use the regular surround mode and turn on voice enhancement. Make sure you leave the bass extension off, it makes it sound muddy. It sounds great with it off though. The DTSX surround made the sound a little tinny.

Great sound, easy set up
I’m not a sound expert but this sounds pretty darn good to me and the Guy in the Man Cave where it was installed. Originally I had purchased a Bose soundbar, which after a lot of fussing and confusion and long hold time to customer service proved to be defective so back it went. This Yamaha was fast and easy to set up, and more importantly the Guy in the Man Cave figured out how to use it with both his cellphone and the tv.

I love the clear voice option
I love the clear voice option, great overall sound compared to the TV speakers. I would like to state I did struggle to get it connected to my TV. If you are installing this I recommend you unplug any HDMI device besides your TV receiver before you connect this soundbar. I have a NVR connected to my TV to view my cameras around the house and the soundbar will not work with this device connected. I spent hours troubleshooting this issue. This soundbar is connected to a Sony X900F using the HDMI ARC port. A little disappointed the HT app doesn't work with it yet but I'm sure they will update it.

Need to read this to get best sound.
I am an avid audiofile with a sensitive ocd ear lol. I bought this sound bar for my dad for Christmas. We suprised him early tonight 12/15/18. Im used to Pioneer Elite Dolby Atmos and DTS Nueral X 7.1. I know a soundbar won't compare. That being said for the price point you get a lot ! Best sound setting to me. Step 1- use the digital optical conection! ( Hdmi Arc doesnt work well. It is frustrating and truly unnecessary. Only negative of the soundbar listed capabilities) 2. Check your cable box audio setting. Will be different for all cable/satellite/Roku etc. Look to make sure it is on dolby surround setting. Not stereo. Trust me this makes a difference! 3. Check your TV's audio setting. Should be two options, stereo and surround/dolby. Make sure it is on surround. 4.If you go full bass extension, max sub woofer, and 3d on. It will sound awful!. 5. Do the following. Bass ext off!. 3d on. Sub level at 3 or middle. Clear voice on. This is the best for clearest treble, with crisp voice, and bass loudest as can be without any distortion that you can notice. 6. For your preference select just surround button( not 3d surround) and stereo. Noticable differences. 7 If you turn up the bass to highest possible setting, plus bass exention on 3d you will get a decent amount of power fading. The excess bass drawing to much power from the amp. Soundbar does not power fade when bass settings are lower. Just understand 3 inch woofer not 15" lol. Good bass for size. 8. Understand how to balance the bass on this and that it is a sound bar. You will be very happy! 9. My dad who is 64, just bought a 58 hdr tv wanted good sound, easy to use, and in a small size. This is it. He is so happy. Buy this. It is a great value for the performance!!

Amazing Sound!
I’ve been searching for a soundbar for years. I’ve bought others and returned them because the sound out of the tv was better, or I couldn’t even tell the soundbar was on. So then I read other reviews and chose this one - so glad I did. I first bought the 107 which is the 2017 model and loved it so much, I bought the 108, 2018, this model, for the other tv. I have a close friend who does audio and even he was impressed by the sound. I love the two subwoofer bass, the surround sound feature (which really does sound like you have speakers all around the room), and yet the clarity for voices is still crystal. This is beyond worth it.

Exceeded Expectations
I am impressed with this device. My flat screen TV seemed to have decent dynamic range, but voices were a bit muddied and bass wasn't very clean. This soundbar made ALL the difference, and with the various output options (stereo/mono,clear voice, extended bass, surround and 3D surround) I found I could quickly "dial in" the precise audio output I wanted. No, it isn't a full surround-sound experience, but it is certainly a VAST improvement over the original speaker sound, and in Bluetooth mode, out-performs my portable Bose Soundlink Bluetooth speakers (which I love). For this price point, I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend this soundbar to anyone looking to greatly improve their TV audio experience without breaking the bank.

Brings back the joy in tv watching. Great voice and sound clarity
Awesome sound. Internal subwoofer can be adjusted for rich base. And the true voice setting is great for anyone with a hearing issue. You can hear every word. Yay! Extremely easy to set up. Haven’t tried to connect via Bluetooth, but don’t really care. It’s great as it is. Highly recommended.

It's worth it!
I ordered this not that long ago. Received it the next day (amazon said a week or so but got it in a day), unboxed it, and slapped it straight on my TV stand! The bass is surprisingly powerful for it's size. Trebel is great. Not amazing but great. 3D Surround is probably something I'll keep on till this sound bar dies. Bass extension takes it to another level. Comes with 1 HDMI in and 1 HDMI out. I was upset but, if your TV has ARC, then it'll just grab audio from your TV's HDMI ports. So, don't bother getting upset honestly. Bluetooth is great, can overlap over other things that's playing via ARC, HDMI, etc. Audio via Bluetooth is compressed so it's best to play it using something connected to it (ex: Smart TV, Game console, PC). If you live an apartment, Don't buy an external sub unless your place is bricked. The built-in subs are already powerful! (With bass extension on) I've tried the app. It's simple to use. Does the job. Just wish the app had better UI. Pros: Powerful bass, great overall sound, 3D Surround sound, 6 speakers (2 tweeters, 2 woofers, and 2 subwoofers) built-in for it's price, Remote is great, No distortion at loud volumes. Cons: DTS Virtual:X.... It's horrible. It's supposed to simulate sound coming from the ceiling. Although it kinnnnnda do..... It really makes the sound really bad. You'll know when it's on when you see the surround LED blue. You won't be disappointed when you buy it trust me. Yes, I'm an audiophile. No, this doesn't sound mind-blowing. But, for it's price, it's definitely worth it! Edit as of May 4th, 2019: So far so good everything still works great. Watching movies on this thing is perfect. Note: to get the soundbar to work on a Samsung TV with ARC, please connect the HDMI out port to the soundbar first. Then connect the other end of the HDMI to the TV. It should word.

Sweetness!
I originally purchased a cheapo sound bar thinking it would suffice since I would be using it in my bedroom. WRONG! It was like listening to sound coming of a tin can, it was shrill and schreaching and hurt my ears....infact my TV speakers were far superior. So, I decided I had to buck it up and spend more money....but I didn't want to spend too much. So, I researched, read many reviews of many different brands at price ranges up to 300.00, so this one was well within my budget at 199.00. ( UPDATE!!! Two days after I received mine, the price dropped from 199.00 to 169.00 on Amazon ) It was easy to set up out of the box, pretty much plug and play, via the ARC connection with HDMI, it was about 30 seconds to install on my 2015 Hisense 4K TV. Before I go on, I want to mention that I have a really decent home theratre sourround sound system on my 65in 4K TV in my livingroom. It's hooked up to a Denon AVR E400, which pushes my ancient Bose IntraAudio floor speakers and three other no name brand speakers and a Pioneer Sub Woofer. It's NICE, not the top of the line, but enough for me to be a bit spoiled when it comes to audio. I should also say, I'm a female, and I appreciate good sound, and I do all my own research and decide what I like......Anyhow, back to the review. I knew the Yamaha brand for years had a great reputation. When I first heard this YAS-108 sound bar, I thought, OMG!! Are you freaking kidding me?????!!!!!! The sound is tremendous!! Now, remember, this is for my bedroom set-up, and more than I could ask for at this price. The bass is rich and deep, the mid and high tones are handled well, and you can adjust the sound to your liking. It has two built in subs, which is plenty for my bedroom use. I won't be adding a sub-woofer but if you did, I'm sure it would only enhance the already superb sound. I have not wall mounted mine, the sound bar is heavy and substantial, and you may even want to consider mounting it into a stud. For now I have mine situated just below the TV, and unless someone can convince me that the sound quality is better coming off the wall, I will leave it as-is. In closing, I just want to say, if you are on the fence about buying this and you are watching TV with the TV sound, you are cheating yourself out of the full experience. If you are looking for immersive sound at a reasonable price, this is it. Seriously, I would have paid more for this. Pictured below is my set-up, the sound bar is leaning against the wall only for the sake of the picture.
