Recessed lighting made easy

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. They were very easy to install, they don't use a lot of power, they are consistent across all 6 units, and they look great. I was able to install some before ceiling drywall was installed, but then decided to install others in an existing ceiling, which I thought would be more difficult than it was. Importantly, the adapter block (black piece where the AC wiring attaches) is narrower than the diameter of the hole for the light itself, so it can be easily pushed up into and mounted above an existing ceiling without cutting extra holes--just up through the hole cut for the light itself.

Perfect Down Lighting For Your Home!

These lights are absolutely phenomenal! I've been researching the concept of down lighting which i have not seen from many home owners yet however it is a perfect way to add accent lighting to your home. I can tell you I have the only house in the subdivision with down lighting and it is definitely noticeable! The pictures above as you can see from the 1st one is the before, I was not satisfied with the 2nd story of my home being so dark. Now you can see from the 2nd and 3rd picture dusk and at midnight the effect these lights can make. I've received so many compliments within the 1st week and have already purchased more. If you want to increase the value of your home including security you can't go wrong with this product. The fact that they are dimmable was perfect, You can adjust the intensity of the light to your needs. Me personally I like the subtle accent look. I also purchased an in wall timer so the lights will turn on and off automatically. Thank you!!!

Spectular Lights! 250+ installed

These lights are awesome! Just what we needed. Secret was getting the right dimmer! Lutron Diva. We have over 250 of these installed and love them! We have many lights from Torchstar, etc. that didn't fit the bill with the dimmers, as they wouldn't come back on when shut off in the lowest dimmed position. With these and using the Lutron Diva they dim down to almost a moon glow and come back on at the lowest setting with the switch properly adjusted. These are absolutey the best lights that I have used and installed (over many years) and that work perfectly with the lutron dimmers that they recommend. Hope this helps :) I am a building contractor / flipper and these have the best dimming and best consistancy of any lights I have used. Again - trail and error with dimmers! Lutron Diva CL worked the best!

Easy to instal, great for tight spaces

I originally purchased the "Sunco Lighting 6 Pack 4 Inch Remodel Housing" with the intention to add additional lighting to my family room. After cutting the holes in my ceiling there was a drain pipe in the way, the remodel housings were too tall to fit. I returned the remodel housings to amazon and purchased these - these were perfect! They were very easy to install, provide outstanding lighting and estehticaly sleek. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future! ****Note: you will need to purchase 3/8 in. conduit clamp connectors to secure the electric wire as it enters the black box****

Great lights and easy to install

Great lights. Easy to install. The ground wire in the box needs to be stripped a little to be used but not a big deal. Overall great. Would buy again.

Good price at $60, easy install, and look great!

My Dad told me about these when I was looking to put in recessed lights. He is an electrician and said they were good for easy retro installs and didn't need a can. He was right! These things were so easy to install. They are very low profile, have a seperate junction box, and have a plug to keep out of the way until ready to connect up. Even better was the price. Cheaper than any retro product at blue or orange box stores and waaaay nicer then either one had in stock. I will definitely be buying more for other rooms. Dimmer works excellent with these. Exactly what we wanted and look very nice installed.

Good recessed light for remodel work.

I used this recessed light in a hallway to replace an old surface mount lighting fixture. I removed the old electrical box and cut a 4-3/8" hole with an abrasive hole saw. I had to go through plaster, so abrasive is the way to go. I also had a ceiling joist directly in the center of the hole, so this low profile worked perfectly. I would buy again. You could use a 4-1/8 to 4-1/4" hole saw, but I used the one I normally use for 4" recessed lights.

Very nice lights, easy install

The lights arrived well packed and with decent instructions, I say decent, because it was not easy to find the hole size to cut, as it was printed on the box versus the instruction sheet. However, the lights were very easy to install and fit perfectly in the 4.25 inch hole. They are almost invisible in the ceiling and have a great finish. This lights are super thin and the connection to the junction box is very neat. I would definitely recommend these lights for an easy, neat installation.

Well Made Light: 4" Model 4K Color

Lots of reasons to like. The junction box and light are easily detachable (connector is actually a threaded connector with a rubber ring to seal). The 4K color is spot on (light color matched that of other 4k lights from different manufacturer installed nearby). Yes, this light is low profile enough (repeating low profile enough) such that can be ceiling flush-mounted even if a ceiling joist is right above. My ceiling is 1/2" drywall and I DID successfully mount the light where a 2x12 ceiling joist was within the hole cutout. Speaking of the hole cutout, I used a 4" hole saw and the lights installed perfectly. And yes, they are instant on. In my opinion the 4k color is right for kitchen lighting (a good balance between the orange/yellowish 3K and the super bright 5k/6k lights. Install 3 lights above a kitchen bar and provides an even light distribution across the bar. On the negative side but still giving 5 stars, is one of the spring clips was loose. Gotta hold your tongue just right, but the average handyman can get the spring clip re-attached.

Installed these lights in a recent kitchen remodel under progress. I like how the wiring box and lamp heads are seperate. It makes for a clean and easy installation where you can connect the wiring to the wiring boxes then go back and connect the lamp heads to the wiring box cable. Also like how you can pull the lamp heads out of the ceiling and let them hang while you paint the ceiling. My client likes how much light there is from such a small, flat, clean looking fixture.
