My god this game is incredible. I played the first one as well from start to finish with my friend and it was one of the best co-op experiences I’ve ever had. This game expands on pretty much every aspect from the first game. It’s just unbelievably good. Some of the game mechanics like crafting were broken in the first game on PS4, but they seem to be working in this one. Almost every quest small or large has multiple ways to finish it. And if you don’t feel like doing the quest at all, feel free to kill whoever gave it to you. I’m pretty sure you can kill anyone in the game. Combat is the same basic style from the first game; turn based with an elemental focus, but tons of new skills keep it very interesting. 100 hours on the first game and 60 hours into this one and I still can’t wait for the next battle. So if you’ve never played divinity original sin before, this is a lengthy, complex and unforgiving strategy RPG. If you played and enjoyed this first game you will absolutely love this one.

Agency over character development is a key theme in Divinity, and the world is reactive to what your two heroes say, how they say it and the people they say it to. Who you have in your party can matter when talking to people of the same town. They are small things, but together they come together to create a fantastic sense of immersion, keeping me invested in the story and the world itself. Last year, Divinity: Original Sin Enhance Edition was one of my favorite video games when it released. The new DOS2 Definitive Edition for the PS4 reminds me why, but it did not stay content to simply sit back on prior success. Meaningful changes were made in thousands of large and subtle ways, and the result is one of the best RPG experiences that can be found on either PC or console.

This was recommended to me as a fun game to play as couch co-op. We're completely addicted to this game. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but we got the hang of it pretty quickly and the RPG aspects of the dialog and combat has us feeling like chess players trying to figure out the best way to deal with situations. Love it! We're about 100 hours in and close to finishing the game up I think.. we're sad it's going to be over soon but can't wait to play it through again with different characters.

This is the first real RPG game I’ve played and it is amazing. Strong story and very long story, I’m not even half way and I have 40 hours plus in the game. Runs very well on PS4 pro, no problems since update. Game is a turn based game and does it very well. Only complaint is there is some cheese to combat like getting stunned for 20+ turns is just bs. Other than that the game has been a blast.

In my opinion, DOS2 is all alone at the top. Loved the first DOS but am loving this one even more. While am not a huge fan of the puzzle aspect (Google please!) the overall gaming experience far outweighs the corresponding frustration and in my mind is unparalleled not just in its class but across any genre I have played. (Note for the haters and trolls..notice "my opinion" lol) About halfway through I read a review in which the author had finished the game and couldn't bring himself to play any other like titles. At the time I could vaguely concur but after finishing myself am in total agreement. This game is that good! Am playing through again and whereas Skyrim (PS3 & 4) and Pillars of Eternity (PC) were my previous top time-eaters DOS2 sits alone on the throne. Am actually going to get a gamepad and start playing on the PC with all the Steam mods. Again, if you enjoyed the first one and are a fan of titles like Pillars of Eternity and XCom this is absolutely in your wheelhouse! Have fun!

I play a lot of different games, daily. Well, lately I felt like playing something different than I usually play and this game came to mind. Knowing that it received tons of awards and many 10/10 reviews I said why not and ordered this. To say that I was enthralled within the first 5 minutes would almost be unfair. This game is an absolute masterpiece. The writing is easily some of the very best I've ever experienced in an RPG. You love and feel a connection with each character you encounter and despite the seriousness of the plot, the writing is geniusly funny at times. Everything about this game is fun. The turn based combat is the icing on the cake of this truly one of a kind gem. The team behind this game should well deservedly be extremely proud of themselves. Oh, and btw IT IS A HUGE GAME. Brilliant RPG. One of the best of all time, even.

This is one gem I'm going to replay when I finally finish it, and I already have 70+ hours into it. Combat is challenging, and this game doesn't hold your hand. You will need to spend some time tweaking your characters and hunting down both XP and better gear to take on the harder encounters. Doing a large number of side quests is almost mandatory because fights are tough, and there are no mobs you can use to grind your levels up on. The story will keep you engaged, and some of the choices are going to be difficult to make. Many of them have long term consequences. My only gripe it that load times are horribly long, and you will be spending a lot of time reloading after you get owned by a group of enemies you weren't prepared for. If you want a challenging strategy RPG buy it. This is one of the best ones I've ever played. There are so many ways to approach combat, and different abilities to try combining that I don't see myself losing interest anytime soon.

Honestly the game is great on its own, but the fact I have spent the last 2 weeks on weekends playing it with friends has been awesome. I actually prefer it on ps4 to PC and that is weird for me. Why? Because on PC it has a serious problem working on my computer even though I meet the specs with flying colors. But with the ps4 it isn't going to bug out really bad. Only one bug, we caught up in a fight and it wouldn't continue forward. We loaded it and that fixed it. Also, be careful about playing undead, being healed only by poison really sucks

Absolutely great rpg and a hidden gem honestly. Anyone who grew up with Baldur's Gate, Fallout and other turn based RPGs with be right at home here.

I have been fan of this game every since the first one. The first location is so big, and so detailed, that I ended up being on there for days. It has a bit of a learning curve, but the acting, graphics, physics, and characters make this game a must have for your console. I really hope you give it a chance, because it deserves your attention. 5 out of 5, easily.
