Hey it works fine. Flashed retropie and started playing. The SD checks out because it seems kinda sketchy at first but the 32gb is there. It's got everything you need.

For my project, this is complete package that I can get under my budget. This has got a faster CPU by about 200 MHz and has POE on this board. POE is Power Over Ethernet and the reason why this is really exciting. If you can power this device through the ethernet port then don't need an extra Power cord, but need to add extra hat in order to get POE working. It will be best for having USB camera hooked up to it. My current project is to make own cloud server / torrent box to help team to share data and files. It is quite and working very fine for couple of days test. Only thing I wish is USB 3.0 at least should replace 2.0 USB port rather jump to USB C port. For noobs and nerds, this is beautiful toy to play with.

This raspberry pi kit is an amazing kit. The pi fits into the case perfectly. The heat sinks stick on and fit in the case with no issue. When you open the top of the case, it is labeled with the Pi's components for easy identification of the different parts of the board. The SD card that came with it was pre-loaded with Noobs. The card was also more than double the capacity of cards that come with most kits I have seen. The power cable is nice because it has an on/off switch. Most of the time you have to unplug the power cable to turn raspberry pis off, but no with this one. I can leave it plugged in and still turn it off! Noobs was very easy to install and set up. WiFi was easy to connect to. Currently I am using g my Pi for Kodi to watch TV and movies. It works amazing. It is fast and loads video very well. I would definitely recommend buying this kit, well worth the money for what you get!

Everything worked right out of box. Updated NOOBS installed FLDIGI and FLRIG and had it up and running digital modes for Amateur Radio in 15 minutes. Great Stuff! de WD8MHR.

A good Raspberry kit comes with 3 heat sink, 2 goes to the processor. It was not overheated when I checked the CPU temperature. So it is good even without FAN.

+Well put together kit. Comes with everything you need for most basic Raspberry Pi projects. +Quality is good. The Raspberry Pi is the same in every kit, but the other components are pretty well made. The plastic case has a decent amount of thickness to it and should provide more than enough protection for the pi. The heat sinks should help protect against overheating as well. Also comes with a legit Samsung Evo microsd card and not some cheap knockoff. +The microSD comes with the install files already on the card, which allows for easy installation of a handful of operating systems. So instead of having to download anything onto your computer and copy it onto the microSD card, you can simply plug it into the Pi and go. +You can do a ton of things with a Raspberry Pi. I currently have the following running on mine: a network DNS, a VPN, and a retro game system. The DNS does a great job at blocking adds and malware sites, the VPN works as it should, and the retro game system has been a fun way to kill some time.

I got this Raspberry Pi for my younger brother, because he is a Junior in college studying Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He participates in robotics competitions and "hack-a-thons" sometimes, and I know that for every scholarship opportunity or contest, they need to use some of these expensive tech kits. I wanted him to have the opportunity to get started, if he has any ideas on how he wants to use this for the upcoming school year. He was very excited, saying how important it is for him to have the newest model of Raspberry Pi in order to keep up with his classmates. I will update this review whenever he gets started on some of his projects. As the gift-giver, all I can say is that he was very happy. I think if you have a loved one who is also studying computer science, this may be a great thing to give them.

Highly considering buying this again. This is a great kit for someone who wants to get started with a raspberry pi. I used it as it for a few days then I decided to overclock the Pi and then I needed better cooling. I'll include pictures of the before and after. Overall this is a great kit. No problems with the power supply, nothing wrong with the pi and the HDMI cable and card reader work great too. The case has just enough air flow to keep everything cool. I love this kit. I started out wanting this as a little file server and something to just SSH into and practice ubuntu commands. Then I realized I wanted a second pi desktop to practice python on.... Then I flashed retro pi to an extra SD card I had laying around and realized this thing runs retro games great! Now I need another Pi :D

I love it. I have many plans for this, and may buy more!
