Excellent Quality, Sturdy, and Made to Last!

The basket’s handle assures you don’t have to worry about balancing food items when you remove them from your pressure cooker. You can rinse rice without having to pick out the remaining pieces of uncooked rice as the mesh is tightly woven. You can steam vegetables, potatoes, eggs, and more. Bonus for me...2 silicone baby food trays fit snugly in the basket for my version of Starbucks Egg Bites. I am looking forward to steaming a small batch of homemade tamales in this basket. This basket is my favorite IP accessory. Love it!!

A huge timesaver (for broth, rice, etc), fits my 8qt IP

I love this basket! It fits in my 8-qt IP (I think it fits the 6 qt also) and doesn't need any modifications like some other baskets (eg, removing the handles). The basket and handle feel strong and sturdy, and the basket saves me a lot of time when making soups, stock, bone broth, and more. I can throw all my bones and veggies (or a whole chicken) in this basket, then just lift it all out of my broth when done. Takes 2 seconds! No more wasted time spent picking out all the little bones and bits. I even use this basket for rinsing my rice. I am so glad I grabbed this and definitely recommend it for anyone looking to save time in the kitchen!!!

We use this the very most!

We use this more than anything. EVERYTHING fits in this and picks out so easy. I bought this for my daughter and I got myself one for my 6 qt. My favorite things: 'boiled' eggs in 10 minutes and peel like a dream every single time and never the green ring. Quick dump don't cool. Just let them cool on their own. Squash in 15 minutes. We now eat so much squash because it doesn't take so long. Spaghetti, acorn, butternut. All the time. Cut the spaghetti squash in the center skinny ways not the long way and put it in there. 15 min. Acorn, cut in half, seed it and put it in there, 15 min. Butternut, its easiest to peel that one first, seed it, we cut it long wise and ... stick in in there and...15 min. Squash usually takes too much effort. Bottomline: I love this basket!

This is a High Quality Steamer Basket for the 8qt IP!

I received an 8qt IP for Christmas. I've started to purchase accessories and have been searching for a larger steamer basket that would fit my 8qt Instant Pot.. All I could find was $49 IP baskets and $10 baskets that had to have the handles broken off to fit inside the inner pot. I was about to finalize my Amazon order when I noticed this new listing for the Hatrigo Instant Pot Steamer Basket for the 8qt IP. I clicked on the listing and what I discovered was a Steamer basket that met all my criteria. It has a permanently attached fold down silicone covered handle (No spot welded handles to break off here!), silicone covered feet. I already noticed my SS inner pot has scratches from the steamer rack included with the IP. This new basket will work perfectly with the new Non Stick Inner Pot I just purchased.. I won't have to worry about scratches to the liner. I really like that this basket has support across the entire bottom. The cheaper strainer baskets only have legs that are tack welded to the bottom of the mesh.. The bottom support on this basket is part of the leg system that's tack welded to the outer steel ring that makes up the top of the steamer basket. Nice and strong. This will assume me that the bottom will not fall off when I'm lifting out a heavy load of hot steamed potatoes or corn... Sure this basket is more expensive, but this is truly a case of, "You may have to pay a little more for quality". This is indeed a high quality product. I'm so happy I bought it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality steamer basket...

Perfect size for 3 quart IP

I spent months searching for a good tall steamer for my 3 quart IP. I was just about to give up when I saw this. I couldn't be happier, it's exactly what I was looking for. It fits perfectly inside the insert, the basket is tall, straight and roomy, and the mesh is good quality. Thank you, Hatrigo, for making 3 quart accessories! Keep going!! :) UPDATE: I accidentally bought the 3 part steamer and had to send it back. But I want to report it is excellent quality and drains beautifully. Not all the steel strainers drain quickly or thoroughly, which is a hassle. Hatrigo, please make a large precision strainer to match your mesh one!

Way-to-go Hartigo!! I don't usually do reviews of products, but I have to change my ways with this product. Wow, it's awesome! The material and construction of the basket is top quality, a professional item if I have ever seen one. It has the quality that I seek in a product: heavy duty materials, silicone handle that lies out of the way and doesn't interfere with any of the items you place in the basket, fits perfectly inside the Instant Pot 8-qt Duo, and one can use it for any other purpose that may require a strainer. I used it the other night and fit a large head of broccoli in it; when it was done, I simply reached in, and grabbed the silicone handle, without burning my fingers and, voila, fresh steamed broccoli. It cleans up easily and stores conveniently out-of-the-way in my spare pot. I looked at a lot of other baskets and I am delighted to have chosen this one! The craftsmanship is outstanding. And now for the best part, the price!, well within budget; costing less than many of the other baskets. I give it two-thumbs up and highly recommend it to those who want a quality product that will last a life time.

Best steam baskets for simultaneous cooking!

Cooked most of dinner meal in these steamers ...steamed in 4 minutes! > Perfectly cooked Cod and veggies (swiss chard, parsnips, beet, leek bulb > slices in with cod)! Swiss chard not overcooked! I purchased this for use in my Instant Pot Ultra 8qt. I took my time looking @ the different steamer products available. There were 2 other steamer "baskets" that I considered before finding this one. When I found this one, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. I have used it 4 times in 2 days. Three times to make hard boiled eggs & once to steam sweet potatoes. I have been very happy with the performance of the steamer & the ease of cleaning, I like the fact this steamer basket has silicone "covers" on the "feet" & handle. With the silicone covers on the "feet" I don't have to be concerned about the metal feet scratching any surface they come in contact with. The silicone covering on the handle keeps the handle cooler to the touch when removing it from my Instant Pot. I still use a pot holder; but I don't worry about the handle slipping from my hand or being too hot to handle. The first 2 photos are eggs getting reading to cook in my Instant Pot & the ice "bath" after they were done. As you can see I took the steamer basket from the Instant Pot & put it & the eggs directly into the Ice "bath". The third photo are the sweet potatoes getting ready to be cooked & the fourth photo is a dozen eggs ready to be cooked in the Instant Pot. Great product!! Well made & sturdy; but, not heavy.

Perfect instant pot accessory

I love this steamer basket. It fits perfectly inside my 6 quart instant pot pressure cooker. The material is really high quality stainless steel. I’m going to make hard boiled eggs and potato salad with it. This is an excellent basket. Will also try to use it as a pasta strainer as well.

A “must have” for Instant Pot and Excellent Service

I bought this to upgrade from my OXO steamer basket for use in my Instant Pot. However, it is so much more!!! First, it fits the IP 8 qt DUO perfectly. The silicone handle stays cool and the silicone feet keep it from sliding on the counter or scratching the pot. Unlike the steamer basket, you can easily lift it out of the pot and not lose your food or have to pick pieces out individually. This is the perfect gadget for eggs and potatoes in the IP! And no more trying to awkwardly pour stock indgredients through a strainer - you just lift the basket and are left with nothing but broth. The mesh is a great size. I bought this for my IP but already used it to filter my elderberry syrup and I’m going to line it with cheesecloth for making Greek yogurt. I wish I would have seen this when I first bought my IP! UPDATE: I ordered a second basket which arrived in the box shown in the photos. Stuff happens but how a company handles issues says a lot about them. Hatrigo responded immediately and I had a new basket before I knew it! FABULOUS product and FABULOUS customer service! Highly recommend.
