Excellent Router/Modem Combo
So I bought this refurb throough Amazon. I also bought the 3 year protection plan with it. Because all together it was cheaper than the item new. Pros - Works well took it to my Internet Provider Imon Communcations and they were able to add it right away without any issues. Took it home and connected it up without any issue as well. It's easy to configure if you've set up one Netgear router this one works pretty much the same. Signal has been stable so far and I've got up to 15 wireless devices (Roku's, Laptops, Smart TV's, Cell Phones, Game Consoles) connected at any given time. Cons - If you want to update the firmware... you have to have your have your cable company do it because it's locked to the modem side of the modem/router combo. Signal doesn't reach as far as some other routers it's still decent but my old Netgear (R6700) Nighthawk had better range not by a lot mind you but it's noticeable. Over all I am still beyond pleased with the purchase as it allowed me to free a fair amount of space and cabling. I normally avoid router/modem combo's like the plague however this one seems to be well made.

Works flawlessly, can't even tell it's used!
Working fantastic. Even tho it's refurbished, the 2i ordered showed no signs of use. No more Xfinity modem rental fees! Works great, zero issues. Highly recommend if you are with Xfinity

It's also fast
This is the second Netgear Router I've purchased, I've always liked Netgear Products. I have Comcast, and I hate that they always trying to charge you for their Routers, every week, which should be free for the amount of money they charge just to have their service, which is why I've always bought my own, then charge over $13.00 a month, which is totally ludicrous, by the end of the year you would've paid for one of these routers almost 3 times, plus the one new Model that Comcast has XFINITY TG02DCW3482CT WiFi Modem Router, They want $150, and that's used.. I fill that you are so much better purchasing a refurbished Netgear one from Amazon, for about 100, as a Prime Member, and you will get more than what you bargain for, because it last forever even If you didn't purchase a warranty with it, I found that for some reason whenever you buy anything from Amazon, regardless of what it is, that you are getting you r monies worth, even if it just last 2 years, because they are known to back any of their products up.. Which is why I buy all of my electronics from Amazon.

Best router/modem I've had so far
I had no issues with the modem itself. I did have a ton of issues with another modem before where the connection would be terribly slow or kept cutting out. I called the internet provider who said it was because I had so much items connected to it. SO, I bought this and I probably had the internet go out once a month where before I had it go out on a daily basis. I have phones, computers, TV, Speakers, etc connected to it so it explains why it'll disconnect sometimes (especially when I use all at the same time). This product didn't let me down. If you only have 4 things connected to it, it'll run smooth. If it's like 8 or more then it may run slower or cut out. It's the best one I've had with the price I got it for, that's why I rated it high.

Very fast and good strength.
Had an old router that was needing a reboot often. My Mother in Law lives with us and her room is further away and she did not get a good signal and now she is on all the time. Was at best getting 10 to 15 Mbps. After install same laptop is getting 119.3 (this morning). depends on your provider. After a week I am extremely satisfied and would highly recommend it. I have a big family and a lot of friends at the house, can have up to 30 people n at time. It is 24x8 so traffic is great. Google that if you do not know what that is. I am a believer. See result below. Result PING ms 33 DOWNLOAD Mbps 119.30 UPLOAD Mbps 8.34

WiFi range is jaw dropping!
I bought this renewed product on Amazon for $119 and got extended 2 years warranty for $30 from Netgear. So total price was $149 in all. A brand new one comes for $189 with the same warranty. So I saved $40 that I can use for a good takeout dinner! Setup was a breeze and took 10 minutes tops. Xfinity has made it very easy indeed. Comcast rented gateway was good (brand Arris) and the technical metrics on paper (such as upstream/downstream channel, WiFi speed, docsis version) on that one similar to Netgear C7000. However the C7000 blew me away with its WiFi range. My Comcast one would become spotty in my garage (2500 sq feet single family colonial house). This C7000 one works neatly from my neighbor’s entrance and I have a 120 feet long driveway. I have a 1.47 acre plot and I could make WiFi calls to folks inside the house from anywhere on the plot. My comcast one was giving WiFi drops 4/5 times a day on weekdays when many people are wfh. This one had no issues on first business day at work so far. So we will have to see how it performs over time and I will update this review if I see any problem. I called Netgear tech support to ask about additional warranty (they only sent me offers on email as soon as I registered the device) and my experience on that was very positive too. I will know more if I needed actual hardware/firmware help. So, if things don’t turn ugly, I should be saving the modem rental money after my 11th month and I anyway have full hardware warranty for 2 years. I have a 100 mbps xfinity internet package and have multiple WiFi devices (3laptops, 3phones, Roku, chromecast, home security, monitor camera, smart thermostats, smart plug, echo devices, guest phones/tabs at times, etc.) and haven’t seen WiFi drops on any yet and surfing speed is quite good too. This device supports only up to 400 mbps for Comcast - so always check that. If you are big time into online gaming then you may invest in a docsis3.1 one or a game oriented router. But this device does a hell of a job for a normal family with varying internet/WiFi needs.

Easy to use with Spectrum Internet
This is a great product and provides great WiFi speeds. Using it with Spectrum Ultra Internet. I have it on my Spectrum Triple Play Plan (Cable/Internet/Phone Package). Although the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 does not support phone modem. The workaround is to use Spectrum's phone modem to support the voice, and then call their tech support, give them the NETGEAR Nighthawk's MAC address to activate internet service through that modem. The final setup from the wall coaxial is a coaxial cable to a 2-way splitter that allows coaxial to feed into the NetGear Modem for Internet (Cable Modem/WiFi Router) and Spectrum's Modem for Voice.

Easy Install, better than rented equipment
Was a little iffy on the purchase because of its “Renewed” Status but so far so good. Wanted to replace my Comcast equipment so I didn’t have to rent theirs anymore. I actually have a stronger signal AND faster upload/download speed than before. Super easy to install, too
