nice picture for a budget projector.

i at first bought another brand projector. which the shipping for it kept changing so i canceled that one and order this one. as of right now its just projecting on my wall. put even that with the computer monitor on and light on still not a bad picture. i am really impressed with this for under 100 dollars. works great with fire tv. please read the instructions and turn off the dobly sounds. then the speakers will work just fine they are loud but lack base ill probably hook a sound bar to it later. remote seems to be able to work without having to direct it at the projector which is really good.

Love this projector!

I love the new 2400 lumens projector! I'm exchanging it for the 1200 and there is definitely a difference and just watched our first outdoor movie on a 12-foot screen and looked beautiful! Great device and highly recommended... Still can't believe how cheap it is now!

Exactly what I wanted for my garage!!! The built in media player is GREAT!!! I’ve tested it with the major formats and hasn’t failed! I have an optima that cost 5x as much as this and I need to attach an Android box to it to play videos. This Dr. J is also far brighter than it’s more expensive counter part.

Worth the buy

This projector is worth the buy! My son wanted a hang out for him and his friends to play their games. The projector was a hit! The clarity is great and the sound is pretty good for a mini projector.

Impressive bang for your buck

Have wanted one of these for a year now and I have to say that I didn't expect this little projector to impress me as much as it did. If you're on the fence about ordering like I was, just do it. The picture quality is excellent for it's resolution, I was able to get a 130" image on a wall in my basement and put on Star Wars, couldn't believe how great it looked. It is packaged well and easy to setup, the remote requires two AAA batteries but the unit can also be controlled by the buttons on the projector itself. The speaker is loud enoigh but you will want to add a speaker system, I plugged in a Klipch surround sound system and felt like I was in a movie theater for a second. The only negative I can think of is the noise of the fan, it is quite loud but can be drowned out if you connect some nice speakers.

First of all, look at the ratio of positive to negative reviews for this projector. That tells you all you need to know. I tried out this projector immediately after bringing it home. I did the window display on a translucent screen backdrop and it was fantastic. I hooked up my HD Blu Ray player to the projector and played a "Santa's Visit" digital decoration DVD. The clarity from the street level was awesome. My wife loves it. The grandkids will be blown away when they see Santa Claus in our window. After experiencing this product first-hand, I've discovered that these crass negative reviews are coming from people who don't know how to use the equipment or use poor quality hook-ups and equally poor auxiliaries to the projector, hence their dissatisfaction. And just so you know, I've received no gifts because of this review. Nor do I wish to. I just like the product and it deserves positive comments.

Even better than before!

I had a 2017 version of the regular DR. J projector which I loved but I broke while cleaning some dust out of the inside (pro tip: don't try to remove the rectangular lenses in the back, just spray with compressed air!). I would've been happy with just an exact replacement, but I saw this upgraded professional version was about the same price so I gave it a shot. It is just as easy to set up as the first one, but is considerable brighter and the picture looks clearer. Even during the day it looks pretty good, though it really excels in a dark room. With a Roku and Steam Link hooked up, I can watch anything I want on a nice big screen! Highly recommended.

What a Great Value: Works as Expected

Excellent quality and performance, per this price point. Painless to use. Both ROKU and Firestick work, when connected to HDMI on the unit. One of my favorite things to do: 1) go into my home office; 2) ensure that wife and "junior" are occupied with their own activities; 4) shut door to office; 5) lay down on my back (with pillows); 6) project my shows on Ceiling; 7) Experience bliss
