I'm totally shocked...
I've slept on this thing with my wife and that's an easy 400 LBS. My 8 and 10 year sons have slept on this mattress also and they jump on it stand on it with one leg, even flip on it. and its still going strong after 2 years... I'm about to buy another one maybe the single version. I purchased the forest green version...

LOVE LOVE LOVE!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this air bed!! Got it to use in a hotel room originally during a balloon festival. My 13 year old son (165lbs) slept on it for 2 nights and it never went flat! In fact it never felt like it lost any air at all! My husband (170lbs) and I (200lbs & pregnant) both laid on it as well and it fit us both perfectly! It is comfy and doesn't smell funny like other air mattresses. It is also WAY MORE RUGGED! We can't wait to try it out camping as well and for company at home! It is also very easy to inflate and deflate!

Can I add a buy it now link here?!
FINALLY, and air mattress that did NOT leak ANY air!!! I will admit, I didn’t buy this. Then I almost did, but I didn’t, then I went a year and maybe a dozen camping trips with cheap intex air mattresses that you can buy for 15 bucks a piece but the same story played out over and over and over again... air it up when setting up the tent, air it up 4 hours later when it’s time to sleep on it, air it up in the middle of the night, air it up once more so you can get that last hour of shut eye before you wake up feeling like the pilsbury dough boy stuffed in the oven (baking under the sunrise in your tent).. anywho, I went through about a half of a dozen of the Cheapos and I won’t ever look back. Fast forward to buying this around the Christmas season for ourselves and we finally put the lightspeed to use this past weekend at the end of March. First of all, it seems to be more compact and lighter weight than its PVC counterparts. Despite the fact that it’s more rigid. Huge plus as it compacts better in its carry bag. Second of all, between my wife and I we put about 600lbs on the air mattress when seeing temps as low as 24 degrees without ANY air leaking at all. This literally blew our minds and is a huge testament to why this air mattress costs as much as it does. Bottom line: If you are a once per year at most camper, I don’t know, I might roll the dice on the budget air mattress that you might not feel too guilty about throwing $15.00 in the trash. However, if you camp multiple times a year, BUY THIS and giggle every time you hear your friends tossing and turning on their cheap air mattresses and running their pumps or hearing HUGE bangs (the baffles blowing out) in the middle of the night. I’ve been there and done that with all of them. It took me 5 years of camping but I’ve finally learned what I’m sticking with!

Excellent Quality Air Mattress - No PVC or Fumes
Updated 6/2/2018: I did alot of research into finding a good air mattress that was not made from PVC or other toxic materials, and this seemed like the best bet. Long story short, an air mattress is my main mattress, so I essentially sleep on it every night when I am home. Well, the good news is that this mattress has held up incredibly well. Before this one, I had an Aerobed and a lot of cheap air mattresses from the discount stores. They all had problems - not to mention, the toxic fumes. The Aerobed was of course more expensive, and it did not last more than a year before it sprung a leak that I could not locate. This one is still going strong. It does have an issue once in a while though - sometimes the air seems to leak a bit and I'm not sure why, because when I fill it back up, it is fine. (It could be that I don't tighten the cap / lock mechanism enough, it is hard to say). The Aerobeds do have a cool feature where you can just flip a switch and they inflate themselves, which this does not have. However, the inflating process on this is fairly easy and reasonably quiet, so not a burden. You just need 4 "D" batteries for the pump. Otherwise the Lightspeed is fairly comfortable, and even more so now that I have put some padding underneath the fitted sheet (a few blankets). I sleep well on it and that counts for alot. Overall I consider this much better quality than an Aerobed and I will never go back to a PVC bed again. I hope this company sticks around and gives us some more good products. [Update as of June 2, 2018] My Lightspeed air bed is still going strong! Another cool thing about it is that it is versatile as far as firmness. if you want a firmer mattress one night, you can inflate it some more. Or If you want a bit more give, just let some of the air out until you get it right. I prefer this versatility over a conventional mattress, where you have less flexibility (unless you buy all kinds of toppers).

Used tent camping every night for 5 months, still works
So I have been using this air mattress tent camping every night since June 26. After the first night, I did have to add a little more air, but they stated that in the directions. After that I have never needed to refill the air mattress. This last stay I have been in the same place since July 21 (it is now Aug 8.) I have not needed to add air at all during this time. It has stayed filled. I do want to make a note, that at one place I stayed it was very hot during the day & very cool at night. That first night when I went to bed, I noticed the air mattress was not as full. I was worried that it had a slow leak, but the next morning I woke up & it was as hard as a rock again. I realized it was not the air mattress but the temperature itself! I filled it when it was warm so the air was denser. At night, when it cooled, the air in the mattress was not as dense so it felt softer, but in the morning the heat made the air expand again. Once I realized this I just smiled realized this was a great air mattress and worth the money. Also as it does not have a heat refractive index or whatever it is called, it can get air in the mattress can get chilly at night. My solution, I cover the air mattress with a wool blanket, then put a sheet over top, problem solved! Well worth the money! Update. I have used this air mattress tent camping every night from June 26 till Nov 26. It is still working fine for me!

Worked great for camping trip in Redwood NF where I proposed to my girlfriend that night
It was worth spending the extra money on this ;) I packed this into my backpacking backpack and yeah it was heavy compared to the tiny sleeping pads but that night was special because I proposed to my girlfriend that weekend, and I wanted everything to be perfect (i.e. no low quality sleep!). So it was worth it. We camped under the stars and on the banks of the Redwood Creek in the Redwood National Park, the only place where dispersed camping is allowed in the park. It was perfect. She said yes, btw

Best airbed ever! And the most comfortable!
I weigh 350 pounds and I could not believe the reviews before I bought but after sleeping on it I can tell you this airbed is like no other! It is made out of plastic and doesn't stretch like regular airbeds. Even-though the bed is 7 inches thick, my butt never hit the ground but I was still comfortable. I believe it is better then my bed at home. This is the best airbed I have ever seen and it is also the strongest! If you don't get this one for camping you are making a mistake. The only thing I can say that needs improving is their air pump. Its terribly slow and so you may want to prepare another way to blow your bed up. But the good news is even with this bad air pump, once the airbed is full it will not leak! I used it for 3 days with my 2 year old son jumping up and down on it and never leaked at all or stretched.

this is the BEST air mattress I've ever slept on in my life
I bought this for guests staying over at my place and wanted to look for one that can also be used as an outdoor mattress. I have to say, this is the BEST air mattress I've ever slept on in my life, and (sadly) I've slept on SO many. Most of them would lose air throughout the night so that throughout the night I'm waking up to the sound of plastic or rubber or whatever material as well as feeling like I'm being tossed around the ocean if I have someone sharing the mattress with me. The mattress is SO durable and SO sturdy, it is amazing. I have to agree with everyone else that the pump sucks. I ended up just buying a better one online. It's not terrible, but it's just not efficient and you're just waiting there pumping it forever. Maybe it would be okay for camping but I bought one with an outlet and it's been awesome. Currently, my boyfriend is sleeping on this thing for 1 months straight and loves it... He said he could sleep on this forever. The quality is also superb, and you don't feel like it's dingy at all. Worth the money in every way and so glad I had returned another crappy air mattress a while ago and got this one instead.

Could this be the perfect car camping mattress???
Got this yesterday and immediately inflated to test this puppy out. While I'll admit I was not a fan of the air pump requiring the attached nozzles to inflate the mattress (which means you have to hold it securely in the opening to ensure good contact while inflating as opposed to it locking in place), once I figured it out it inflated quickly. I should mention that I used an electric pump from a previous mattress purchase and have not used the battery powered one that came with this mattress. So I can't attest to whether it will fully inflate on battery power. But the nozzles are universal for my electric pump which is a nice plus. I haven't slept on this mattress yet but was amazed at how comfortable it felt when casually laying on it. I much prefer the multiple stabilizers and the TPU fabric when compared to the traditional, O-beam support heavy duty PVC mattresses. TPU is softer, lighter and claims to be more durable than PVC and also doesn't have that strong "plasticy" smell. While it is much much lighter than traditional PVC mattresses, I don't know how well this would work as a backpacking mattress for 2 sleepers. We use 2 Big Agnes Q-Core Deluxe mattress when in the backcountry as we can each fit our own in our pack and couple them together when setting up base camp. The boston valve is new for me but seems like a good method for easy inflation/deflation and firmness adjustment. I found it easier to fully inflate with the outside valve as opposed to the inside valve since it doesn't let air escape if you have to reset the fit while inflating. You can also let a little air escape if you find it too firm by slowly loosening the inside valve but be careful, if you loosen too much you can end up dumping a lot of air and have to reinflate. I'll agree with others who have said that the carry case seems much larger than necessary when this bed is rolled up. However, I can't help but wonder if Lightspeed designed it with the intent that the bed would be folded as opposed to rolled when stored to prolong the life of the bed. This bed remains inflated in my spare bedroom to make sure it doesn't have a slow leak before field tested and therefore, haven't deflated yet to see if it fits in its storage bag better folded. The real test will come this weekend when my wife and I throw this in our tent with our pups and sleep on it a few nights. I will update my review then if the bed doesn't perform as expected but am totally loving this thing so far. If you are looking at a lightweight and COMFORTABLE option to the traditional car camping mattress, give this one some thought.

Great air bed!!
My husband and I have owned many air beds, and the number one issue with all of them have been loss of air. Throughout the night, you start to sink in, and then it gets harder to roll over, or eventually you are both right in the center. This is the first air bed that we actually had to LET SOME AIR OUT... I filled this mattress up tight on the first night expecting it to lose air. Never happened. The next morning my husband said, 'How 'bout we let a little air out of that rock.' The next night we slept great. The bed is also extremely lightweight. We pull a small trailer behind our motorcycle, so I'm always looking for lightweight alternatives. I was surprised at how light it really was. Lastly, I always feel a little cold on an air bed. I've layered blankets, I put a tarp underneath, I've used sleeping bags, but I've always felt cold. I put a small fleece blanket under our fitted sheet on this air bed and slept comfortably in our tent on a 55-degree night. I was very happy and warm! I hope this mattress holds up well. So far, I love it!
