So I picked this suture practice kit up after a friend recently got injured on a backpacking trip and I thought, "that would have been a useful skill to know". The practice pad is a bit bigger than other models I've looked at which is great for someone like me just starting out their life-saver fantasies. Arrived super quick and I got to playing with it, lots of room, lots of thread, and the seller even included a handy how-to booklet over email which was a nice added touch.

FANTASTIC suture practice kit

As an eager medical student and aspiring surgeon, I'm always on the lookout for new tools to improve my skills. This suture practice kit is the best by far. Not only is the pad bigger than the others, but it's much more realistic to practice on. It comes with a variety of sutures and they're good quality- doesn't rip easily. It's packaged well so I can take it anywhere with me. I wish medical schools would provide this for students!! I STRONGLY recommend this awesome product!!!

Practicing Physician

I’m a practicing physician who teaches residents and likes to stay up to date with latest medical education technologies and devices. I got this practice kit to see if I could recommend it to my residents. Have to say this is a great kit for practice. It has all the basic instruments for suture and the pad appears to be good quality and proper durability. These kits are a great idea and the Bluelight Med kit has everything you need. The pad is large with multiple shapes. I especially liked the fact that I could customize the incision

Bigger pad than others, almost 2 pads in one (8x7) inches

I bought this for a friend who is in medical school. I picked this kit because it seemed like the best value. The pad is 8x7 inches which is bigger than the other ones at 7x5 inches and also at about the same price. It looks like it would last longer than other pads. She was pleased with the realistic feel of the pad and the strength to prevent sutures ripping. She said some pads are too soft and sticky so they get dirt on them, but this one had smooth skin like texture. She also liked that it comes 25 suture packets. 10 nylon sutures in 3 sizes and then 5 packets of polyester, polypropylene, and silk each in size 4/0. The tools were good quality as well. She said the forceps didn’t have too much tension and are easy to grip to prevent fatigue. Overall, she was really happy with the kit. Everything fits in the box easily so you can take it anywhere in the go to practice.

Awesome Product

I am a 4th year medical student entering a surgical field. I got this to practice in my free time during fourth year so I don't lose my skills before entering residency. Compared to the old, used, practice kits that my school periodically uses, this is so much better. It is a perfect tool to learn and practice how to use surgical instruments and tie etc.. and is about as realistic as models can get. It was shipped very quickly and included everything I needed to start practicing was included. Highly recommend.

Quality components, Easy to follow instructions

Great kit ! Got it for my daughter who is in a nursing program. She was happy with the feel of the pad, giving a realistic texture for practicing; and the size is much bigger than other ones ! Her fellow medical students loved it ! I also used the kit to improve my manual dexterity and to prepare for a future time when my new suturing skills may be needed.
