Great addition to the nest Thermostat

I purchased this to put in my room in hopes that it will help cool and heat my room more efficiently. My room wasn’t getting as cool and warm as the rest of the house. Simple

The nest thermostat was not difficult to install and it is simple to operate. I'm sure there are more features than I have learned to use but my favorite is that it allows you to set one week of programs with unlimited temperature points. I'm not the biggest fan of the home/away feature because it considered me "away" while working in the yard and can take quite awhile to reach a comfortable temperature once again. This is an optional setting and should not deter a prospective buyer.

It works

Cons. 1. Pricey for what it does. 2. You can only connect one thermostat to one sensor. 3. You can only use that connected sensor or the thermostat. You cannot use both at the same time. Pros. 1. Small and clean looking. 2. Comes with battery and easy installation. You just pull the plastic tab to connect the battery and unscrew the cover to scan the QR code in the Nest app. 3. You can see the temperature at your thermostat or your sensor easily, even remotely. Things that I'm not sure of yet. 1. Battery life. 2. Durability.

Better than expected

Straight-forward, easy to add. Is just a sensor so there's not much to say about it, but the added functionality to my thermostat GREATLY improves control of my AC unit. What I love about it is the fact that I can now close the door to lower the temperature at night according to the schedule and reach the goal only for our master bedroom in a few minutes, where before it had to reach said temperature where the thermostat is actually installed. This used to take hours! It will greatly help us save even more power in the upcoming summer nights.

Made our house livable

Solve the solution of our thermostat being in the hallway and our main living space being on the other end of the house. Quick and easy installation, this thing is a godsend

Great workaround for unique climate situations.

This sensor has helped bring balance back to our upstairs climate. We had a big problem with closed doors upstairs causing the 3 bedrooms to be extremely cold. Our upstairs thermostat is in the hallway, so it reads off of the heat from downstairs that has risen to the ceiling. I placed this sensor in one of the bedrooms and set my upstairs nest to gauge the heat demand off of it. It does compound the heat a bit in the hallway but keeps all bedrooms at the perfect temperature. Much cheaper and more efficient than moving the thermostat and my kids can keep their privacy.

Balances room temperatures, great addition

Great addition to the Nest thermostat. I have two AC/heat units in my house in Florida and added a thermostat to each unit. I can set the Nest to use the primary thermostat or the distant room thermostat to balance temperatures. Easy to install, very small footprint, great item!

Game changer for 2 story House

We have a two story House with our master bedroom upstairs on the south facing wall. For any of you in this similar situation know, that means our master gets at least 10 degrees hotter when ever the sun is out. Even though we've just hit spring temps, I can tell this is going to be a game changer in summer! It circulates air to even the temp. My favorite setting though is being able to switch automatically at bedtime so it's going off the bedroom temp. Now the bedroom will always be at a comfortable temp to sleep in winter and summer! 😍

great sensor, makes it so much easier to have an extra control for thermostat. seems more accurate than the nest thermostat itself. easy to install or add to existing nest thermostat in minutes. installs in 2 seconds.
