This product is 1)easy to apply 2)easy to cut and adjust once maybe twice 3) comes with a handy tool to get out bubbles and 4 VERY small magnets (not suitable for children under 6 IMO). Applied this to an Ikea Marla easel on the chalkboard side. This worked great! You will need to measure and cut the contact paper in a couple areas so it covers the whole chalkboard part of the easel. I’m not a fan of chalk indoors so this was an easy, quick, DIY fix for our daughter’s Christmas gift. She also received Melissa and Doug alphabet magnets and they work great with this product. She’s played with it everyday since Christmas morning. I would highly recommend this magnetic contact paper to any parent or teacher looking to upgrade old toys or reinvent a play space.

We like it!

We cut this into the shape of a house and put it on the playroom walls. Easy to cut, easy to stick. Chalk markers wipe off easy.

It works!

Was worried this wasn’t going to work but WOW it really is magnetic lol! Bought it for my son’s playroom to stick on his closet door since we had no more wall space down below for him. Worked out wonderfully! Didn’t use all of it, so I’m probably going to use the rest in my office or kitchen.

A kindergarten teachers dream

I am a kindergarten teacher and I have been looking for a way to cover my ugly cabinets for a couple of years. I stumbled across this Chalknetic magnetic paper on Amazona and I was thrilled. Not only would this cover up the cabinets but it would be useful to my students by providing a place they could build words with magnetic letters and write on with chalk. I was disappointed when they were out of stock so I hunted down the makers on Facebook. They were very responsive and helpful. They let me know when the product was back in stock so I could order. I immediately ordered two excited that was Prime shipping available. The paper arrived rolled up and well packaged. It was easy to apply but you need two people to apply it because it is heavier than regular paper. I was struck by how simple the paper was to apply to the cabinets and how much of a difference it makes to the ascetics of the cabinet. I put magnets on it right away to see how useful it was. The magnets did not slide and stayed in place overnight. I am extremely satisfied with this product and I will be purchasing five more rolls as soon as I can. I can't wait for my kinders to use this! not only is this a great product but the makers are super friendly and helpful!!

Easy erase, no residue.

This is great. I have it on the wall in my classroom where I write goals and questions. There is no residue left over from the pens when I wash them off.

So cool, love it!

I bought this to go in my speech therapy room at work. I loved the idea of being able to write on it with chalkmarkers AND put magnetic items on it like letters, numbers, animals, etc. It was fairly easy to install, but did require two people. I put a boarder around it to cover the edges and it worked great. It’s perfect and I am so pleased. Magnets stay on it well and chalk paint stays on well until you wipe it off with warm water. I get compliments on it every day!!

Works well, easy to install

This is great! I didn't find it too hard to put it up. My 6 year old helped just to hold up the opposite end. Comes with a little scraper to help smooth it out. The trick to it is to only peel a little bit of the backing off at a time. Took less than 5 minutes to put up. I only wish it were a little wider so I might get a second one to go under the first one. Was skeptical about magnetic ability but it actually works!

WAY BETTER than chalk paint

I tried chalk paint on some ikea billy bookshelf doors and it just peeled off as the kids colored on it. this chalk contact paper is AMAZING!! it holds up the alphabet magnets and is super sturdy for all their coloring :) super happy customer!

Great product!!

We hung this in my boys playroom they are 4 and 2 and we have another baby on the way. It was a little difficult to hang, I would recommend having two people but other than that I love it!! The product is thicker than typical contact paper probably due to what makes it magnetic so I think that’s why I was having trouble hanging it. Once my husband came in to help we got it up no problem. The packaging states to put it on a smooth wall, but our walls are slightly textured. The texture shows a little and we had to work some bubbles out but it looks fine. I plan to put a wood frame around it just to make it look more finished. Magnets stick to it perfectly and it’s easy to write on and erase the chalk! It even comes with some chalk and magnets and a squeegee to help apply it to your surface. (I took the magnets it came with away from my boys because they are super strong and slightly small and I didn’t want them to accidentally eat one.) I think this will be a new favorite in our house since we didn’t have anywhere for the boys to play with magnets or chalk!

Great purchase!

This chalknetic board sticks to the wall very well. It even came with a tool to help smooth it out. I wasn’t able to use the tool because I attached it to a brick wall. But, I am surprised how well it sticks to the brick. This is the perfect addition to my office. I plan to decorate it with pictures and change up what’s written on it every so often.
