Good solution to storing rooftop box
This is a great way to store a huge rooftop box out of the way. Pulley system makes it easy to lift heavy items. Install was pretty straight forward, although I thought the rope threading directions were a little confusing. A simple youtube search on it was all it took to get it straight. Love the product.

Inexpensive way to store space case
I have 10ft ceilings in garage and keep the space case above the garage door. Install was easy and makes good use of space.

Easy to use, looks like it will hold 40 lbs. with ease.
Easy install, feels pretty sturdy. Perfect for install and uninstall for 40 lbs. upright bike carrier assembly. We'll check back to see how long it holds. Installed about 6 hours ago, so far so good, the lock mechanism is good. Pull both cords to lift, release tension on one cord to lower one end and do the same for the other end, so simple. This is sick.

Easy to use
Pretty easy to install. Had to watch the video online. Printed instructions are pretty bad. Nice product once installed. Easy to use.

Amazing value for the money
I'm an engineer and am really impressed by this product. It's extremely well designed and made. Easy to install once you find the ceiling studs or joists. Has clever small touches such as rubber covering on key parts so as not to mar whatever you are hoisting. Amazing for this low price. I use it to lift a rooftop cargo carrier (much bigger than one shown in advertisement) to ceiling to free up floor space. It weighs about 30 lbs. This lifts it easily and provides a mechanical advantage so you don't have to pull with 30 lbs of force.

Pro is the way to go!
Before I purchased this, I didn’t realize the system is designed to mount along a single joist. The location I had originally planned didn’t work for this reason. After some trial & error, I was able to hang a Thule 626 XL cargo box above my overhead garage door. I’m glad I bought the Pro version because the design allowed me the get the Thule closer to the ceiling. For reference, the measurement from the ceiling the the bottom of the cargo box while suspended is around 25 inches.

Very easy to install and operate. No need to get the pro in my opinion. Well worth the price!
I used this for hanging my large rooftop carrier. Super easy to install and operate. I was going to just make something similar, but when I came across this, I figured I'd give it a shot. Glad I did! Way easier than anything I could have concocted.

Happy Camper Here!
This Pro rack system works great for our Thule Force XT Sport (#6356B) box. Well-constructed. Easy to install. Easy to operate. I added the wood side spacers to prevent the loop straps from distorting the lid while hanging in storage. An ideal system for any crowded garage. Thumbs up to StoreYourBoard.

SOLVED: Problem with straps pinching cargo box
Used to store: Thule Force XT (size: XL) Ceiling height: 10ft Height from floor to bottom of box: 6’10” Time needed to install: 2 hrs Extra material used: two 4ft long 2x4’s, 4 screws Before buying this I read about the problems people have noted with the straps causing pinched lip-edges on the cargo boxes. I saw one person’s attempt to solve this by placing a block under the box lip where the strap wraps around the box’s edge. Although that would solve the pinching problem, I felt it would create another problem by placing the weight burden directly on the lip at those for points, which over time could potentially place strain the hinge mechanisms of the box lid, which I imagine the Thule engineers did not plan for in the design. Wanting to avoid this I engineered a simple solution. Just use a couple 2x4’s underneath that hang over the edge by about a foot on each side. Then secure the straps on the end of the 2x4 with a screw. Problem solved. See pictures to see how I did it.
