Works Great with Samsung Galaxy 8+

I purchased this item so I could watch my dashcam videos on my phone (if needed). My dashcam uses a micro-SD card to store all footage. This item plugs right into my phone's USB-C port and the micro-SD clicks into the port easily. I can then instantly look at all footage on the card and send to the police/insurance if needed. The product is sturdy and the cable seems pretty durable with good strain relief. The product comes with a small bag to protect it from dust and dirt when not in use. Overall I'm very satisfied with the performance and quality of the product.

VERY well made.

I purchased this to move video's from my new GoPro to my phone without havnig to wait an eternity for it to transfer wirelessly. While it's still new to me, I can't comment on the durability since I haven't put it through it's paces yet. However, I'm truly not worried. The bulk of the reader is a very nice feeling metal, connected by a braided cord. It really feels like a quality product that I'll have for many many years. For the price and feel, I really doubt you will find a better product. As for it's use, it functions as it should. The fit is very solid and does not wiggle around in the connection port. Also, the SD card is inserted with a pleasing and audible "click", as well as when its removed.

Works perfectly. Same speed as other SD adapters I have. Loved the superior design. The metal finish of the cables is plus. I honestly have nothing to complain about the functionality. Tested it multiple times with my SanDisk Ultra 128GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card and MBP. Read speeds were 93 MB/s, write speeds though, around 64 MB/s. Ejected the SD card from the computer immediately with no delay and did not damage the card when putting it in or pulling it out. Plus, I ran a test on the 32 GB microSD and it performed perfectly as well! It also did not seem to get hot with extended use like my old USB A one (from another company) used to do. I love it.

I recently got a new camera with Sandisk Extreme Pro SDXC 64GB storage card as birthday present, and I found uni got USB-C to SD card reader that can work with my S8, so I want to have a try. When I first get it, the good build quality and nicely outlooking surprised me. After several used, I noticed that this small thing have symbols on surface can easily tell which side should I insert the card without any damage. Plus, the push to eject the cards with “click” is a nice touch. I also try to move videos from SD card to a small micro SD card, find out that it can used two slots simultaneously. Overall this is a well-designed product that can fully match any photography amateur’s requirements for SLDR must-have accessories. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone looking for SD adapter for S8.

Best USB C card reader on amazon! 5 stars!

Awesome product! My brand new MacBook Pro now accepts sd cards! As a professional photographer / videographer a high quality Sd card adapter is a must, as I’m always in the field and having one of these break would be bad news. The braided cord seems extremely durable and the fact you can pop TWO sd cards (micro and full size) at the same time is amazing. It’s better than my prior macbooks actual card slot! Do yourself a favor and get one of these if you have a usb c computer, it’s rated number one on amazon for a reason.

Great Build Quality and Tactile Feedback

I've been using this product over the last month and have been very impressed with its performance. The build quality is great = doesn't feel cheap. When inserting the device into my computer, it feels very sturdy and nice fit. This is especially noticeable when inserting the SD from my M4/3 camera into this card reader -- the -click- upon insertion is so satisfying!

Solid SD card reader

Solid reader, though bigger than my Transend USB 3.0 reader. This has better materials and build than the older, cheaper Transend, but on a speed test using a port adapter, I got the same transfer time with both. In fact, the Transend was a few seconds faster. If you want a USB-C SD reader that doesn’t require a converter, this is a great option. I got a USB-C to HDMI cord from the same company and it’s great as well.

MacBook Pro 2018 Touch Bar - Works Great

I found this USB C SD/MicroSD card reader to be of very high quality. It does not feel flimsy or cheap. I did buy other USB C accessories and found the UNI to be of the best build quality. The cable is nylon wrapped for more durability and better overall look.

Functions well-spring loaded, looks good-with clear instructions

Function and build quality: Used the adapter for reading both a microSD and standard SD card and experienced no issues at all. Cards were always recognized almost instantly by the host computer, and data transfer speeds were as expected. Build quality is great. when you push the cards in you get that satisfying "click" sound to remind you that it is in there! I believe it is some sort of spring loaded mechanism and it is lovely. Insertion directions are also clearly shown on the adapter. Look and Feel: Color of the adapter matched that of apple space grey. I like that it comes with its own carrying pouch. Mostly just keeps it from rubbing on things in my backpack to keep it looking nice. The wire is nice and flexible and the aluminum looks really nice. I'm happy with my purchase

Highly Recommend!

I've tested this using a SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB SDXC UHS-I Card that I bought off of Amazon and did a 5GB stress test. These SD cards are rated for 90Mbps and as you can see in the image I posted, I was getting extremely close to that consistently. I had one of those multi hubs from another brand and it died, just like all the other multi hubs. What I realized after digging is that those multi hubs have fake reviews for other products and the most recent reviews for them are terrible. Anyway, so I decided to get a bunch of different adapters from uniAccessories, and I am so glad I did. So far every one I have purchased has worked flawlessly. Stay away from those crappy portable multi hubs and buy these!
