The game is like an addictive drug, can't put it down. Highly recommend purchasing, don't let the naysayers fool you, this is a AAA game and you will not regret the purchase.

You'll only have problems if you have poor connections. If I had poor connection to their servers I'd also experience all these desyncs and would rate their game so lowly, their engine is heavily flawed for current days internet for the majority of console and pc players. People rating it for poor gameplay, im not convinced they've actually played it especially when people say there are no npcs that you can interact with. Every problem people have with this game reflects more what Fallout 4 was like.

So if you downloaded this while stationed at a U.S military base somewhere outside of the States, say, Germany, it will give you an invalid code error because it thinks you're from Germany. Use a VPN and set your location to United States and you will be good to go! I personally used Norton Wifi-Privacy, 5 bucks a month, I think there's a trial you can use though. Once the code is validated, remember to switch off the VPN or you will be plagued with bad latency since the game server thinks you are playing from the States.

I have not played any previous fallout games, but compared to other MMORPGS such as Black Desert this is a fantastic title. There is a lot of depth, and even more places to explore. I believe the map is bigger than skyrim's. It is worth noting there are many friendly players and even if you find a bad one you can just block them and keep going, and of course team play is optional. There seems to be many negative reviews which I cannot understand since me and friends have been having and overwhelmingly positive experience with the game (with some minor bugs).

I started playing this game with little to no expectations at launch. I did not read anything from the buzz beforehand, nor did I read what people thought immediately (for a couple of weeks after launch). I have played Fallout games for many years (casually). Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4 briefly. Enough to understand the lore of the world before playing this game. So my background is not "fanboy"ish nor is it complete ignorance. I find the games interesting, fun, and well written etc... As for Fallout 76, I did have complaints initially. No NPCs? Remember I did not read anything about this game (I usually do it that way so I cannot be disappointed or coerced to think the same way as those obsessing over game news) NPCs are essential to standard gameplay you would think... otherwise this is just a barren, empty, depressing world... which it is. In all of the Fallout games there have been NPCs that drive the plot, and reason of your being there at all. So it is a major hurdle to get over. But I was patient and just explored the land once a week or so for a couple hours maybe. The story in the game is a prequel to the series, as most people realize... so vault 76 is the first vault to open. Of course there wouldn't be NPCs initially.. you are the very first people to leave the vault. The more I explored the more I realized I actually really do like this game. Not for immediate satisfaction, but for the bigger picture: They are making a game that is making you be the "forward" to the story. All games (virtually all) are set up that you are a character dropped in a world of history, and knowledge. You learn that knowledge, and abide by it, and learn from it. This game is not doing that. It is making you develop the lore, and knowledge. You are in the beginning of the game, and will be the "forward" to everything we see in the fallout series now. Bethesda is playing the long game here... a lot of complaints in the beginning from players that are bored with the empty land, complaints of glitches (that seriously have not affected me much at all)... but my assumption is as more vaults open, the landscape will change. I guarantee they will add NPCs to the map as the story progresses. They may even increase the player limit per "world" at a time (i believe it is currently 24?) They want this game to play out as a long story that you evolve in. I think it is a brilliant idea, and will pay off very well. As for right now, if you give it time, it does become quite enjoyable. Find people to play with... get on Discord if you are not already. I spend a lot of my time exploring the whole map, and doing the quests slowly. If you give it time, and understand it for what it is, you will end up liking it more than likely.

My fiance and I are huge fallout fans and were really skeptical of an online game, but we decided to give it a try and have been having a blast ever since. Neither of us are big on online gaming, but 76 keeps you from being overrun with other players and when you do meet them they tend to be downright friendly.

Code works. Games not part of my review.

I used the code in the Bethesda launcher like it said to, and then restarted the launcher and it works fine. The other people here just need to do the same.

Great game with bugs being addressed. Dislike that Bethesda put it only on their servers which currently are not very good. They down frequently and often have dropped connections. Some minor games changes form past editions were not accepted enthusiastically and Bethesda is addressing that issue.

Despite other reviews, my code was delivered right away and it was redeemed very easily with Bethesda. No issues whatsoever.
