great for 5 year old imaginative play

This was a gift for my friend's 5 year old that loves both cars and tracks and dinosaurs. This toy was played with immediately and they enjoyed that the dinosaurs could be moved freely and "chase" the automated cars. I would consider buying this again. Just a warning though-if the car is on and it's placed near the head, it WILL catch hair and is difficult to untangle. That may sound obvious, but my 4 year old did not think of that and we nearly had to cut her hair.

Dino Tracks Rock!

WOW! This totally exceeded my expectations! I bought two sets thinking I’d wind up with a nice display for my 4yo Grandson, but what I got was enough tracks to completely cover my dining room table! It’s easy to set up and take down too. We all had a blast racing each other to see who’s car was the fastest. I think Grandpa had more fun than all of us!

my favorite

i spent so much on my toddler boys for christmas presents including this one. this one is our favorite for sure! its just too cool and my boys love it..theyre playing with it right now. i bought 2 extra cars and i highly recommend those cars instead because they go so fast and light up but they do take 2 aa batteries instead of 1. theyre here on amazon called -"Car track Toys Racing Cars Flashing Lights Toy Glow in the Dark Racing Track Accessories Compatible with Most Tracks for Boys and Girls 2,3,4 Years Olds Mini Camouflage Track Car Play Set(2-Pack)"

Great kit, great price.

This is a nice *large* kit of this kind, lots of track and obstacles/structures to play with compared to the other similar sets that often turn up at flea markets, state fairs, and so on. Much larger, and much cheaper than they are at such events, too. For those not too familiar, they've basically taken the "Stomper" cars from the '80s (runs on an AA battery, switch on, switch off) and made a flexible "track" that's just about the right width for them to roll on and that can be disassembled and reassembled like lego blocks. Since the "Stomper" cars have been off the market for decades, my kids have never known the fun that they brought. My six-year-old son was instantly fascinated by these even though he has a bunch of radio control cars. He flips the switch and then lets them roll around everywhere, both on the track and off. I don't know that this is a great centerpiece toy for a kid's room... Quality wise, I doubt it'll hold up too many years. But it's a lot of fun while it lasts, at something close to the cost of a kid's movie ticket, popcorn, and soda.

It's a present for my grandson who loves Dino's. I opened it to make sure everything works correctly and install the batteries. Looks pretty good to me and I believe he will love it!
