Quality and Durability

I bought this cleaver for my husband to work on meat, ribs and poultry. I saw how it is easy to use it and for so many purposes so I started to use it for chopping garlic, onion, parsley, cilantro and other leaves, veggies and fruits. The cleaver stays sharp after many uses. We decided to replace all our kitchen knives with this Kessaku brand in the future!

excellent kitchen tool

I own many kitchen knives and cook and prepare foods daily. I recently purchased The Kessaku Samurai 7 inch cleaver and have been absolutely delighted with this tool. It is a beautiful blade with a razor sharp edge (which in my opinion is the key reason for owning such an implement). The balance is wonderful. Light and easy to use with enough heft to make the toughest cutting job flow with ease. Precision cuts are easy with the potential for accidental cuts to fingers minimized as the blade easily slips through the media you are preparing. Wonderful product and an incredibly low price. I highly recommend it. A must for any serious kitchen.

Medium weight on hand, asian knifes are thiner to use.

Very easy on hand for multi tasks cutting, sharp out of the box, good grip for slicing, not recomend for chopping bone any kind. Beautiful in my collection knife set, proud to have it.

Amazing Knife

I cook a lot for the family and always on the chopping mood. So, I thought, I deserve the best tool. I have always wanted a cleaver/vegetable knife that does its purpose. This one tops it all. Very sharp and very light to handle. Makes the cutting and chopping a breeze. Price is great. Fast and quick shipping process. I strongly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful knitting.

This cleaver is absolutely beautiful. I found it to be extremely light weight & almost perfectly balanced. It came out of the box ridiculously sharp but don't know if the edge will hold. Only time will tell. So far I've only used it on a couple of things for chicken & vegetables but I have high hopes for this cleaver.

The Kessaku Cleaver stands my new favorite vegetable knife. Since arrival, I've used it everyday as my main knife at work. The knife comes out of the package ready to go. It's Sharp. It's durable allowing it to hold an edge without resharpening, besides edge alignment on a steel. The balance point in at the front of the handle allowing long duration of use. As a cleaver, I wouldn't use this knife for cutting or chopping through bones. It is lighter than you'd expect a cleaver to be. As the knife isn't weighted towards the blade, it does offer the best option for heavy duty chopping. This is a quality knife well-suited for any work a normal santoku, chef's, or Nakiri styled knife would be used for.

Good bang for the buck

Knife balances nice, razor sharp, for the money an excellent knife. Let's see how it holds up in 6 months. So far, so good

sharp and solid

This cleaver is sharp and solid. Easily cuts through raw chicken bones and beef ribs. Slices vegetables with ease. Best all around knife I own.

Completely worth it.

I must say, I had some doubts when ordering this knife, but I am extremely happy that I did. This is amazing for basically anything you want to do. I can also say, that I work in a professional kitchen and I wanted to use use this for a time before actually leaving a review. It was sharp, it's durable, it has drawn blood on 3 of my coworkers, I have also had a couple of them ask me to buy them one. 10/10, will buy another when they are available again.

INCREDIBLE!

This knife is so easy to use. Most knives, there is a bit of a struggle chopping or mincing, because there is not enough depth from the handle to the surface. This knife, handles incredibly well! Chopping and mincing are a breeze. I cut and chopped multiple vegetables to use in making my meal. I can't wait to use it again. It was also great to use it to scoop up the vegetables and toss them in the pan. Love this knife!
