Awesome nightstand,drawer handgun safe.
This thing is great! I didn't want all the gimmicky features of the more expensive models. This one fit the bill regarding price, features, and size. The unit uses a rechargeable 18650 lithium ion battery, and the charging port is on the outside of the unit. I'm not worried about the electrical system failing and being forced to used the back up keys. They keys light up red, and flash green when the correct code is keyed in. The lid automatically pops up (spring loaded) with an audible beep and two lights turn on inside the unit. One to provide light for contents and one that is on briefly showing battery status. It comes with a long coated steel tethering cable as well as mounting screws. All in all, I wish I had purchased one of these a long time ago. I had been using a analog combo gun box for a while, but it was annoying having to close it and zero out the combo every time. There have been times where I closed the lid and forgot to lock it with some valuables inside. This is impossible with the VE10 since the lid is spring loaded and there's a light inside.

Portable, Secure, Compact.
Pro's: 1. Great Mini Safe 2. Portable 3. Compact 4. Very Secure 5. Great for traveling or for staying in hotels or your car/camper. 5. Easy to use instruction manual / user friendly 6. Foam and Padded to protect your gun from scratches. 7. Easily fits my SIG 320 Compact + CZ P-07 together but with no extra mags (pictured) 8. Easily fits my SIG 320 Compact + Attached Taclight + Extra Mag. (Pictured) 9. Easily fits my CZ P-07 + an extra Mag, while it also fits my wife's Walther P22 together both inverted. (not pictured) Cons: 1. You cannot control the brightness of the LED light inside the safe, it's either ON or OFF and literally too bright for my taste.(pictured) 2. Was expecting the bluetooth and App feature but it doesn't come with it. 3. You also cannot control the volume of the ping noise when you open the safe, it's either ON or OFF. It's not too loud to the point of annoyance but it would be a cool feature to have. Overall: The Pro's outweighs the Con's and I will definitely recommend this safe to anyone who wants to secure their firearm from burglars, intruders or children and teenagers. Owning a gun comes with responsibilities of safely storing it and preventing it from falling to the wrong hands. I hope my review helped you in your search for the perfect safe. Thanks!

Cool product, great value
Great. Keypad has a proximity sensor so it lights up when your fingers are close, LED light is nice, comes in great package, and best of all, fits a G19 and G43!

Great small safe at a great value!
With a new baby in the house, we needed something to keep the bedside gun locked up without breaking the bank. I found this small safe to fit the bill completely. Vaultek does make a handgun line of safes (vt) witch has 2 latches vs 1 of the (ve) line, plus some other features, but comes in at 70 dollars more and up. Build quality is great, it has a good weight, and doesn’t rattle. Come with a steel cable to attach it to a heavy object to keep it from walking away. If a pro thief finds it, I’m sure after a few minutes he’ll have it, but It will keep the kids out, and anyone looking to grab and go without tools. This safe come with some very nice features. The keypad lights up when you get close, and has an indoor light when opened. The keypad beep and inside light can be toggled on and off using the keypad. Another great feature is tamper alert, buy holding 2 buttons it will show if a wrong code was entered after last good code. Easy to charge, battery hasn’t died on me yet, but it’s only been a month, and the manual says you can leave it plugged in 24/7 without harm. Backup keys, if it dies. Battery level indicated by holding a key down. The exterior finish and keypad looks expensive. Packaging was nicer then expected also, shippers aren’t hurting this thing! Overall it looks great, works great, and has plenty of high dollar features. I wouldn’t hesitate buying one or two for any of your small item needs, If this unit fails or breaks prematurely I’ll update the revised *** Firearm is a fullsize 9mm Sig, 5” barrel w/ light and laser plus an extra magazine

Happy / Impressed
Just received the safe today, so this isn’t a long-term review, although I don’t anticipate having any issues with this safe. First off, the packaging is really nice, which ultimately isn’t hugely important to the safe itself, but it demonstrates to me that Vaultek takes pride in delivering quality to their customers. Second off, the instructions are very clear and straight forward. The safe is put together very well and feels solid. The steel cable it comes with also feels very solid. The inside is nice, dense foam that will protect valuables from scratches and damage. The keypad lights up when your fingers are about to type which is great for visibility. The safe opens quickly and quietly (beeps can be easily turned off) which I really like as well. My ONLY gripe is that I wish the interior light in the safe could be switched to light up red (like the buttons do) as that is better for preserving night vision, but ultimately that’s not a huge problem. Great product, and am definitely pleased.

Great safe with features at a reasonable price.
We needed two safes for our night stands, and after a fair amount of research, decided to choose the Vaultek VE10 safe. My wife and I are very satisfied with these safes. They fit in our night stand drawers, have an interior light, and most importantly, keep our personal protection firearms locked away from small hands or curious (nosy) teens/potentially rude house guests. The safes can be opened with a manual key if the battery dies/fails, and the key-pad lights up when the sensor on front of the safe detects your hand movement. In our case, there is enough room to hold a Glock 23, spare magazine, and small flash light. The safe's battery is a "standard" Li-Ion 1836 battery (easily replaced if/when it dies). The batteries have held a charge since February 2018, even performing regular access checks. The interior light is bright enough to see what you need to grab, and there are no tell-tale key beeps if you want/need to remain quiet. The safe is easily portable, if you choose not to mount it with screws to your furniture, so you could use it on the road at hotels or campers, etc. I would/will buy more of these if required and I already recommend them to friends/family.

Great value!
This is a quality bedside speed vault with all the features you actually need. Fingerprint sensors die or don't work reliably enough to stske your life on and this safe has no quirks to get in to it. Enter your code and it pops open instantly. The internal light is the icing on the cake. This is definitely the best lock box for your money, I can't imagine paying twice the price for a buggy fingerprint reader and Bluetooth (what good is that?!). Get this and be happy you did!

Quality + Secutity
The V10 has room for two 380 pistols, i.e., Sig and Ruger. This is the 3rd safe I own and the best. Should have purchased the V20 for another $25. and the extra room for two compact 9mm"s, say a Glock 26 and a Sig 365 plus mags. Love the lighted key board and the interior light. the security cable attaches firmly inside the vault and is out of the way when closing lid. It's heavy and solidly built. Lid opens after I enter my six number code. Battery is rechargable with provided cable.

Well built and tough
I don't think this safe needs to be marketed to college kids. It's a great safe for anyone. It's got good heavy weight and it's built tough. The key pad has worked flawlessly. The battery has been fully charged and is not draining. I love the hot keys. Holding 2 and 4 will indicate to you whether someone has tried to enter safe by illuminating the 3 button either red or green. Very cool. The only thing I'm not 100% happy with is the Vaultek name plate was installed crooked. I'd like to remove it and glue it on straight but fear damaging it. It'd be great if Vaultek would send me a replacement name plate in case I damage this one removing it. I'd definitely buy this safe again. 1 of my photos shows the crooked name plate. Update...Vaultek came through with a great response to my comment. They're also refunding me 20.00 because I paid 129.00 but they noticed the pricing error. I think this is a great product and a great company. Thanks Vaultek!

High Quality
This Portable Safe is clearly 5 stars for function and quality. I do have some issues with it, but nothing that I didn't really know before I purchased it. It comes in a really nice box and is packaged very well. The operation of the unit is smooth and consistent. I am confident I can rely on it to open when I need it the most. The keyed backup is nice and a necessity as far as I am concerned. My biggest gripes with the unit: 1. The price. I think the price is a little high for something that is made in China with lower labor costs and not water or fireproof 2. The keypad should be 10 digits not 5. 10 digits would open up more possible combinations of numbers that are more personal and easier for someone to remember. 3. The unit is a little noisy when it opens up. I would like more stealth if I am accessing a handgun in the middle of the night. The latch makes a clear click when unlocking and a solid thud can be heard when the lid reaches the end of it's stroke. I would still buy it again but it can be improved slightly. The biggest plus is that it keeps my handgun secure from visiting children and my grandchildren.
