Free Standing Lace and New Brothread Thread!
The hardest part of any embroidery is learning how your machine will react to any new thread. I decided that I had to give New Brothread metallic thread a try and this is what I discovered ,my machine loves it and I’ve created some beautiful ornaments for my daughter. When I started my Free Standing Lace (FSL) designs with the wash away stabilizer the thread didn’t seem to standout as much I wanted it too. So I read up on creating the most beautiful designs from where I purchased my designs from, Urban Embroidery and I tried it their way I soon discovered that it was easier than I thought and soon I was creating beautiful Christmas ornaments. Here’s my suggestions to help you create a beautiful design. Start with: 1. Vilene Water Soluble Embroidery Stabilizer 2. Wash n Gone Wash Away Super Stable Embroidery Stabilizer Backing. 3. Have a Spray and Fix temporary fabric adhesive or Basting Spray to keep the Vilene from slipping. 4. Use cotton thread in your bobbin that matches the metallic thread. Next you’ll want to make sure that you follow this particular order. 1. Have bobbins ready for your color changes. 2. Spray the Wash n Gone Stabilizer with the temporary adhesive. 3. Attach the Vilene to the Wash n Gone Stabilizer. 4. Smooth it out so there are not any air bubbles. 5. Here’s a little secret I that use on my hoops: Johnson and Johnson first aid elastic tape around my hoop to avoid any slipping. (I avoid the hoop tape because of the stickiness of the tape. I have nothing against it but if I want to use my hoop for something else I’ll have to remove the stickiness of it.) 6. Then I hoop my sandwich together and secure it with the elastic tape and straight pens. Time for your machine to do the magic: 1. Make sure you’ve matched your bobbin to the color you want to use. 2. Start your machine on a lower speed (if possible) and let your machine do its magic. Remember every time you change colors you’ll want to trim the thread underneath so you don’t have to trim any loose thread with your finish project. Don’t forget to change the bobbins. 3. My finish project (picture #4, now to attach a beautiful ribbon to it I would love to give credit to Urban Embroidery for creating such a beautiful design. Most of thank-you to New Brothread thread for a quality thread that doesn’t break when you use the Vilene to create FSL ornaments.

Nice!
Worked great for machine and hand embroidery. You do need to use the nets the spools come with and use at least a size 14 needle in the machine. The Organ HAX130N needle works very well with this thread because it has a larger hole.

The holy grail of metallic thread!!
Metallic thread can be tricky and this thread works great in my Brother Dream Machine. I've tried other brands and they just don't flow well through my machine. Other brands get caught in various machine areas, thus breaking needles. Brothread metallics look really nice on finished products. I haven't had one spool where the color gets stripped off the foil when moving through the needle. (Even on items requiring metallic on top and in the bobbin.) Getting good flow of metallic thread is key. I've learned to try several different threading techniques, slowing down my stitch count, and playing with top and bottom tension before I give up on metallic threads. The price is competitive and the colors are a good variety. I recommend this thread.

Don't forget to use a metallic needle with this thread if you have a problem with breakage.
I thought the colors of the metallic threads were beautiful and very rich looking colors. It would make a great gift for a machine embroiderer. I can't wait until I can do a project with this thread.

Love my thread !!!
Got my thread in today and couldn't wait to try it, I have heard so much about this thread and once again I was not a let down. This color of the fabric of the material does nothing for the shine the thread has. but as soon as I stitch out something else I will post more pic.

I love these threads! SUPER durable - not a single break, ever! Gorgeous colors and I recommend them to the point that you may think I own stock, I do not, I just know awesome product when I see it. I will be a lifelong customer!! LOVE NEW BROTHREADS!

Best machine embroidery thread I've ever tried
Excellent thread, my embroidery machine loves this product. I have tried several brands of thread but this is by far the best, it is strong with far less breakage than others, feeds through very smoothly, doesn't fray, the price was incredible. I have a Brother SE 400, and I would highly recommend this thread. I like it so much I purchased a collection of the metallic, and just order the variegated colors, can't wait for it to arrive.

You need the right needle!
Ok right off the bat this thread is really pretty and worth the money, but it keeps snapping I tried slowing my sewing machine down and the tension and still the same thing. I finally called my sewing machine seller and they told me to use a top stitch needle it even comes with this helpful hint in the box. So it’s good thread but you need to have the right needle I can’t give it less then five stars because it’s a good product for the money. I will buy again when this runs out.
